The service at LAVO was excellent. Unfortunately I don’t feel the food lived up to what I was expecting. My wife had the lobster Alfredo special and I had chicken Marsala. They were both just okay. It was my birthday and they made it special by bringing us a piece of tiramisu which was probably our favorite dish. And Dan our waiter was excellent!
Our Waitress Arielle was the best. Food was great. Awesome experience
Service was friendly and professional without being stuffy. Food was good, but it lacked in some areas to make it 5 star. Calamari was just Ok...no zing, no zest, just basic Calamari. We sat outside, which was pleasant for Vegas, but also cooler. Food gets cold quickly either way from the A/C or outside temp. Some dishes ( most dishes) , taste much better warm rather than cold. I'd suggest they figure out how to keep food hot for the table while it's being eaten. Carbonara tasted great for the first few bites, but once it cools off, its not good, and that's the second half of the dish. Steak sauce, such as the green peppercorn should be served hot, not stone cold like ketchup. They did give us a nice free desert, which was great. All in all, good, but needs some fine tuning.
Reservations were at 8:15pm for a table for 2. Didn’t get seated until 8:45pm. Table location was extremely close to another table (less than a foot away from the diners next to us). Our actual table had an issue with the table legs being loose/wobbly. Took my linen napkin and folded it over, twice, to a thickness of nearly one inch, and slid it under the table leg, which stabilized the table enough to safely place a filled wine glass on it without risking it being dumped/tipped over. The table location must have been in a zone where there was confusion over which waiter had our table. After being seated for 15 minutes, we finally got waters. After another 10 minutes, a different waiter asked if anyone had taken our orders yet (we said “no”). We placed our orders (I had crab fettuccine alfredo, my wife had penne alle vodka). Food arrived promptly, and was hot. Table didn’t have salt/pepper/parmesan, so we asked the waiter if they offered grated parmesan, which they did. We both had water. No drinks. No dessert. Total bill was $87, before tip. Probably just an off-night.
Fabulous food and service.
The chairs are wobbly and the food is definitely poor quality compared to 2 years ago.
They will NOT seat your party until everyone arrives even though there are plenty of tables available.
Great pasta at good prices, nice wine list and good salads.
LAVO is always a delight! Don’t overlook the Spaghetti and Meatballs. Simply delicious! Hub had the fall seasonal salad with the butternut squash and it was so pretty I should have taken a picture. He said the salad was very good and he loved the Penne Bolognese as an entree. We eat here every trip to Vegas and it never disappoints! Did I mention the extraordinary service? Bravo LAVO!
very nice place and calm atmosphere, highly recommended for a chilled dinner and drinks at the bar afterwards
Great service all around. Friendly, enthusiastic, engaging, knowledgeable staff. Both manager and general manager came by to make sure everything was excellent. Waiters know the menu well and take pride in things being done right.
The salmon is excellent, as are the salads. There was a special squash salad which was delicious and unique. Their bolognese sauce and pizzas are excellent. They have both regular and gluten free pasta. Tiramisu is also noteworthy and their sorbets and gelatos are excellent as well.
Been there 3 or 4 times in the last two months and always consistently top notch.
An absolute must for a steak in Vegas. Good service, great ambience and a table on the patio makes it something special. Our third time on visits from England. Highly recommended.
Food and service was great. Only downside is that we had a 7:45 reservation and did not get seated until 8:30.
Great food and fantastic staff. It’s a well oiled machine here. It’s like watching choreography. Maya took care of us and she is amazing. Can not say enough about how well she took care of us. Highly recommended!
Best Italian food in Vegas! I highly recommend the carbonara!
beautiful atmosphere and decor. It was pleasantly quiet at 6 pm but got loud with a full dining room by 7 pm. The food is very good as are the drinks and wine list. The Palazzo is very nice as well. It is pricey as are all restaurants on the vegas strip but the food is better than at most restaurants.
We were celebrating our engagement and the service was outstanding! Definitely recommend!
Excellent food, service our wait person was great and great atmosphere
Do not miss the meatball! Sit on the open patio and enjoy the sights and sounds of Las Vegas. Such a cool restaurant!
The Meatball was absolutely delicious!!!!! Excellent service and excellent atmosphere!!!! Would highly recommend!!!!!
The food was terrible. The service was awful. We order their signature desert it was stale. Three were girls we assume hookers in the room in 3 different places in the restaurant. Girls being taken to the back of the restaurant Noise level was extreme Waitress said she could not hear either.
The room was only half full ?
Service was perfect. Sent over complimentary dessert for my birthday I mentioned in passing to the hostess. Wonderful.
Drinks were watered down. Experience was worse than our first visit which was pleasant.
Very expensive for what you get. Very unimpressive fare at outrageous prices.
Amazing experience for the Italian bottomless brunch, could not fault it in any way and would highly recommend!
Always excellent food and staff. Never miss the place when in town. Scenery with the bridesmaids always a plus, lol.
This was our first time at LAVO. When we arrived at the restaurant we were seated immediately to a table on the patio. We received what they called their complementary bread for the table and then within the first three minutes at our table we had two separate waiters attempt to deliver appetizers to us that were designated for other people. I could understand this happening once but it happened twice within two minutes of each other that the food order was delivered to us instead of to another table. Our waiter subsequently came and took our order. While we were waiting for the order we had finished our bread and had asked if we could have some additional bread for the table. The individual who took away our bread plate had indicated he would get us more bread but we never saw him the rest of the evening. We had ordered a salad with the vinaigrette dressing, and it was nothing special but the salad dressing was a little overwhelmingly vinegary, which was unpleasant when eating it. Our entree came out next, which was good, but while we were sitting at our table we could hear the people next to us complaining that they had been charged for two appetizers instead of one, and we could hear the people on the other side of our table complaining that they had asked for bottled water but had been given the tapwater instead of what they had asked for. Our waiter came to the table after we completed our entrée, and we ordered the warm bread pudding dessert with ice cream. Unfortunately when the desert came out it was not warm at all and the ice cream had not been melted, so we assume it was never heated to begin with. Thus the bread pudding was not as good as it would have been had it been served at the appropriate warm temperature.
We received our check and noticed we had been charged for bottled water, $9, when we never ordered it nor received it. We were unsuccessful in getting our waiters attention and after waiting for his return for over 15 minutes, we got a
Very poor service. Ordered appetizers and sides that were never delivered. Waitress disinterested. No attempt to correct. They clearly need a management change.
Stay away!! There are many options in the area that will deliver a good dining experience.
Anniversary. The service and food was great. A little bit aggressive on the up sell of drinks and food. Bartender was not really attentive at times. It was late so we ordered a light meal with glasses of wine. Food came out very quickly like they wanted to turn us over since we weren’t spending as much as average check. A bit of a turn off. Food/ambience was great. Servers were generally great. I think if we were there for the full monte things would have been a little better. Overall very good experience despite the shortcomings.
everything was great, except you used to serve the best bread and now the bread you served sucked. Great restaurant except for bread. good service and atmosphere
Birthday dinner was awesome. Service was great!
Bring back the original bread!!!!
Heard a lot of great things about Lavo but my dinner was cold, service was just ok
Server was excellent. Food A++
Overall it was fine. It was a Saturday night and they were busy but we felt rushed and the service didn’t give us that special feeling. Food was good. Large sizes. Very nice ambience.
Very good food and customer service was great. Waitress was great fast and frendly.
This was a longtime favorite that may have jumped the shark. The service, closing of the lounge, lack of buzz, all contribute to a lackluster experience. That part of the strip is dying and with the dissolution of the pirate show at TI, the view just isn’t what it once was. The service was fair, server wasn’t attentive, took 10-15 to get a drink, 20 mins for a salad, entree followed too closely, dropped off check and didn’t come back for it until 10-15 later. Lack of attention to detail on what once was a special, hotspot, a far cry from what it once was. The only thing that hasn’t changed is the prices; two people one drink, shared salad, two entrees=$225++
It was more than we expected, a little hard to have conversation but our server was perfect, didn’t intrude or interrupt us, came always at the correct. Compared to other places, the prices are in line with being on the strip
For what we got the food was a little overpriced but delicious
We've had great experiences here before but our last visit was disappointing. Food was not what we'd come to expect. Service was scattered and robotic. At these prices , we expect much more.
