My girlfriends and I went for dinner on a quick escape from LA lockdown, and it was such a lovely night and dining experience! The patio with twinkling lights and music is such a good vibe, the mango-tuna tartar appetizer was delish, the lavender salad never disappoints, and my rare ahi tuna over basmati rice was outstanding! Our server, David, was attentive without being intrusive. An all-around GREAT night.
Great table, great ambience and fabulous food.
Gorgeous ambiance! All the food was delicious, great service
Patio dining at it's best. Beautiful lights make a romantic and festive mood. The evening was chilly but numerous heat lamps warmed our table. The menu has a generous selection and the food is delicious.
Plenty of parking and convenient location in La Quinta.
Celebrating Thanksgiving with out of town family. Fantastic food - sashimi, tuna tower, short ribs, dates, flat iron steak, lobster salad. David, our server, first class. Beautiful ambiance patio.
Memorable outdoor patio seating with string lights and lots of greenery for ambiance and privacy. The menu is varied for all palates and sensitivities. Full house at 5:15 and continued throughout the evening. The service was a bit rushed at first but, by evening’s end, we were all smiling. Be sure to share a few desserts such as the vanilla cake with berries. Finally, a bit pricey but worth it.
Lovely restaurant. Great patio dinner with live musician. Went for thanksgiving dinner and everything was great except my main course, The waiter suggested that I order the turkey. I was not happy with this as it seem like I was eating hospital food. Very blan. My wife had the salmon and it was very good. Oh well ,next time I won't as the waiter for recommendations.
Our dinners were overpriced and the quality inferior. The turkey dry with tasteless stuffing and two balls of potatoes. Not even pretty on the plate. The pasta dry & boring. Frankly, the regular menu would have been a better offering. Desert was out of a box.
We had a wonderful Thanksgiving dinner!! Thank you!
The setting is beautiful. Live music, outdoors, lights, excellent setup. The food was ok. Some was good, but some were disappointments. Service was good. Overall, we had a fantastic time.
We had a wonderful time at Lavender Bistro. Amazing outdoor dining. The food was great.
We visited Palm Springs and drove off the beaten path to visit the Lavender Bistro. It exceeded our expectations… A beautiful outdoor patio! And, lots of lavender!
I rarely leave reviews, and I'm doing so here because the ambiance and the food are such a disconnect that I felt it was important to share. The restaurant is gorgeous, and the staff was wonderful from beginning to end. My only issue was the food.
We ordered bacon-wrapped dates as a starter, and the bacon was overcooked, like the kind of well done when you microwave bacon - bone dry. Difficult to cut, as it crumbled under a knife, and not very enjoyable to eat. They were served on greens with blue cheese dressing, a nicer appetizer would be stuffing the date with the blue cheese.
Our main course was the braised short ribs, and this dish was really disappointing, especially for the price. Our 2 orders arrived at the table as one very large chunk of beef set on whipped potatoes. The beef was cut into a cube about 3"x3"x4" and was not cooked well; that is, the choice of cut did not have the fat that is customary in the short-ribs and was very tough, and difficult to cut, difficult to eat. Additionally, it was not particularly tasty, and the red-wine reduction sauce was minimal. We took it home for the dogs.
I truly hope this was just an off night, as the ambiance is so lovely, I would love to come again, I am just hesitant, as the food was not up to par.
As always, the food was perfect! The atmosphere and service superb! Our server, David, was very personable and lots of fun! Thank you Lavender Bistro was such a tremendous dining experience.
Wonderful food as always, tables too close together and 3 large parties (14-16 people). Did not feel it was safe distance. We were only two so more secluded than others.
Wonderful place to eat at anytime but especially great for our anniversary! The patio is beautiful and the ambiance is fantastic! The food and service is outstanding! Our go to place in the desert when we are here when we want to celebrate a special occasion. We think it is the best restaurant in the desert!
Our favorite place in the Coachella Valley. Whenever we have visiting family or guests, this is the preferred restaurant. This visit was everything we expected. Everything was exceptional.
Lavender's patio is a great solution to dining during the corona virus. The food is a touch too rich for me. I prefer my sautéed scallops with a more simple presentation than a creamy risotto, but I suspect I could ask for a modification to the preparation.
As always, the patio is a lovely setting. Four of us had food that we rated between good and excellent. Service was a little amateurish and slow, but pleasant and well-meaning. Our complaint is that there were tons of people there on a Sunday evening and we felt everyone was too close for it to be safe. We will not be back during this pandemic.
I was disappointed because it wasn't as good as the last time we were there. They were out of oysters, crab and clams. My lobster was not tender. They charged $18.50 for a margarita even though my husband asked for house tequila. The service was not as good either.
Beautiful atmosphere, great service and wonderful musical entertainment.
love this restaurant for its ambience, food quality and service!
We loved our meal at Lavender Bistro. What a beautiful patio! Live music as well. Started with a lavender martini, and it was marvelous. Wedge salad was tasty. I had scallops with a cheese risotto and my guy had a steak with a delicious peppercorn and wine sauce. So yummy and cooked perfect. The house wine was great as well. We will definatly be returning! Loved it♡
Have not gone this far for dinner in several years, but wanted to celebrate my birthday in style. From the moment we got to our table that had a personalized card and a little treat until the moment we left, we could not have felt more pampered and cared for. The setting is magical and the food outstanding. We have told everyone to make the trip down valley.
We love this place! The atmosphere and the food are phenomenal! Although we go every chance we get, this time it was for our anniversary. As always, Lavender Bistro never disappoints. Had a wonderful evening. Special shout-out to our server, Juan, who did a great job making our evening special.
Our waitress was Morgan. She has served us a few times and is so professional and very attentive
Our second dinner at Lavender Bistro was just as memorable as our first experience. We dined during the Covid-19 pandemic, with close friends, for my birthday. I was so impressed that they take the temperature of each guest as they arrive. The guitarist was playing beautifully as we arrived, and serenaded us all evening. The service was excellent, the food was excellent, the ambiance is romantic and beautiful. Highly recommend!
We had a very pleasant evening in the courtyard. Live music added to the ambience. Always love it there.
The fairy tale atmosphere is so charming and beautiful. The service remains outstanding and the food is exceptional. We shared the butternut squash risotto which was delicious and calamari was outstanding crispy and light as a feather. We shared an excellent rack of lamb cooked to perfection. Dinner was all we expected service wonderful this Is the best restaurant in the desert. Bar none. Thank you for being so special even the birthday card they gave me was so touching. And the chocolate truffles were amazing.
Will recommend my friends to book Lavender’s for a great evening..
Ambiance was wonderful! Service and food were outstanding.
It never disappoints me... never. It’ magical every time.
Beautiful outdoor dining!
Always reliable, recommend the beet salad.
Wonderful outdoor area with beautiful lighting and soft live music. The wait staff was terrific and the food was amazing. Highly recommend!
Beautiful ambiance!! Great food and service!!
The outdoor patio was as beautiful as ever. There were many people there but the distancing was perfect, we felt very safe. And dinner was delicious.
