What is Lavagna? In Italian, it means "blackboard". That's where we put our menu, and specials change with the seasons. Look around too... the walls are also blackboards, decorated with artwork by Mike Delaney of Nyack.

After-work drinks, a date night, or a friend meetup all have their home at Lavagna. Our quiet, intimate setting is perfect for conversation and relaxation.

Pull up a barstool and have a glass of wine from our extensive vault. Our wine cellar is world class with over 125 labels available by the bottle and 25 by the glass. Please ask about our full roster of Italian craft beers that will surprise you with their complexity and depth of flavor.

We will pair your beverage with exquisite dishes, salumeria boards with meats and cheeses or a full caviar tasting for a special occasion. We also offer Roman-style flatbread pizzas and other small plates such as pastas, seafood, and Mediterranean specialties.

    This restaurant is a hidden gem. Casual ambiance with upscale food! Service is top notch. Atmosphere very cool with chalkboard paintings and some nice vespa touches. JP, who tends bar is great. Gives a nice pour of wine and makes amazing mixed cocktails. Super friendly and has great suggestions on what to order. Enrico, the chef is outstanding. His dishes are off the charts. We have been there numerous times now and a few standouts for us are the crudo specials of the day, the mixed green salad with chickpea purée, the rigatoni bolognese, pasta paccheri. Every dish we have tried so far has been delicious and so creative. All desserts are made in house and both the oil cake and the chocolate tart are incredible. Highly recommend this place!

    Food and service were outstanding, my wife and I were celebrating 6 months of being married and we ate in the Vault, it was amazing, so romantic and unique, it was an unforgettable experience.

    The food was great, tasty, and nicely portioned. The homemade meatballs were delicious with a prefect texture. The veggie flatbread pizza was also excellent. The service was sub par, very slow and included the wrong drink orders twice and an omitted a side dish. There was only one Sauvignon wine on the menu and they were out of it which seems strange since it’s a “wine bar”. The waiter, who was very nice apologized for explaining that he was a new hire and still learning.

    You will not be disappointed. The unique flavors are a delight. Not your average Italian restaurant although you can get your traditional Italian dishes with a twist like homemade meatballs. I was there for lunch and will be going back for dinner. My guests were very impressed n will be going back.
