Great staff & attention to clean protocol. Its a great experience Every Time!
Fantastic evening, great food, excellent service from our waiter, Milton, and the rest of the servers.
We absolutely LOVE Laurenzo's!! The food is always fantastic and so is the service. We always request Armando as our server and he is amazing!! The prim rib is always a favorite, but we can't wait for the full menu to return so we can get the shrimp and grits again.
The food is so delicious at Laurenzo's. We were seated promptly after having our temperature checked. Their bread and garlic butter is the best! And, their dishes taste so fresh. I had the Chicken Piccata, and they substituted creamed corn for the spinach. Oh my gosh, so delicious. Their portions are a good size, so I was able to bring about 1/3 of my dinner home! We were in-and-out in an hour. I just love this restaurant!
Armando is an excellent server!! He remembers how we like our food, only stops to chat when we engage conversations. He’s attentive, super efficient and makes great meal recommendations. The food is always fresh and consistently delicious
Two Moms and 3 kids. Plenty of room at a 6 topper. Food, service and ambiance was perfect.
Always a treat especially with Armando as our waiter. My favorite restaurant in Houston.
Good food. You will leave happy
Consistent quality always good service
Enjoyable dinner, great service, great food and generous cocktails
It was ok, limited menu on New Years Eve, won't go again on a major holiday like this.
I especially enjoyed the unique kale salad vinegrette. I had a meatball sandwich. The bread was tasty and soft. I would like a little spaghetti sauce on it and a slightly softer meatball. The place was warm quiet homey and we will return. We wanted to support a family owned company. My husband had a French Dip. I never see this here since I am from NYC and so delighted. Recommend this restaurant.
What I love most about Laurenzo’s is the ambiance. It’s not a huge restaurant so it’s not overly crowded and loud. It’s a quaint, dim lit room with bold colors that are nice on the eyes. They went above and beyond with Covid protocols that made us feel comfortable dining out. I appreciate that it is important to them to keep their customers safe. The staff is welcoming and friendly with everyone greeting you when you walk in and thanking you when you leave. The food was excellent. We had a variety of appetizers (calamari, spinach, artichoke dip, and crab claws) which were all delicious. Our group had the salmon, both redfish options and prime rib. Everything was really good, but the prime rib is the show stopper! It’s definitely a must try dish at this restaurant. The service was great from start to finish. Our waiter was friendly, attentive, and kept the drinks flowing. I’m so happy we chose this place for our family Christmas dinner. It couldn’t have been more perfect. We will definitely be back!!
We got prompt, courteous service from a waiter with some personality. The drinks were quick and proper. Food servings were copious and delicious; well prepared. The prime rib, medium rare, was medium rare. often, that in itself is rare.
Have always loved this restaurant & the waiters were always extra friendly and attentive. I even had a big party there for my 50th. This visit was disappointing & we won’t be back. The food was only fair & our waiter disappeared for long periods of time & I had to flag down a different server to get our bill. I could see the manager was looking around but he didn’t notice we needed attention. I didn’t see him approach any tables. It was expensive and not worth it.
The 12 oz. Prime Rib was not cut evenly. The slice started at approximately 3/4" thick and sliced downward at an angle to about 1/4" thick. It was not a true "12 oz" slice.
My wife and I dine here frequently. Food and service is consistently excellent.
What a nice Holiday dinner. Superb service from Armando as usual and a wonderful visit with manager Edgar!
Did miss the baked potato and hope it returns to menu.
There was no social distancing of the tables, and the restaurant was very crowded. I was very surprised that every table and booth was occupied during the current health crisis.
Laurenzo's never fails to delight. It's the ideal restaurant for business lunches; excellent food, efficient & unobtrusive service, plenty of parking, with tons of nostalgic & historical ephemera covering the walls & ceiling.
Did I mention the food? Laurenzo's is a restaurant that pays attention to the details, kil-ler!), their iced tea is fresh-brewed, & the talented kitchen staff is quite flexible on prep of items you may want done differently (e.g. grilled asparagus finished with a little olive oil & lemon? Not a problem.). Seriously: order the kale salad as a side. You'll never look at kale the same way again. I eat it with the same enthusiasm my kid eats freedom-fries.
I've never had a meal at Laurenzo's that didn't impress, but if you have nothing else on the menu, do yourself a favor & order the French dip. Oscar...Mike...Foxtrotting Golf. I could eat it a thousand times & never grow tired of it. I've eaten at restaurants all over the world, & Laurenzo's French dip is far & away the best I've ever had. Foxtrotting amazing.
We were sad that they didn't have their full menu, but still great experience.
Blanco Queso is our favorite. We always visit Laurenzo's when we take a trip to Houston...it's a tradition!
This was one of our first ventures into the real world since corona. They had all the necessary precautions in place and felt very safe. We split a couple of appetizers and a French dip sandwich. You can tell that the staff and management take pride in their restaurant, which is not typically evident at other places.
Wonderful meal and waitstaff. Menu and food were excellent
Prime rib was wonderful and the whip potatoes were perfect. Salmon was a little over cooked. We had queso for started and it was delicious .
We always LOVE Laurenzo's!!! The food is amazing and our server, Armando, is fantastic!! Ask for him!! Favorites are the prime rib, shrimp and grits and the creamed corn.
We lived in Chicago for 12 years. This restaurant reminded us of one of our favorite restaurant there. The service was prompt and friendly. The food was hot and prepared to our satisfaction. My wife had the prime rib and I had the gumbo and fried shrimp. The reasons why it was not a 5 star were the following;
We were seated too close to other tables considering the virus.
There web site menu needs to reflect the reduced menu and new prices.
We would return.
Excellent, can’t wait to go back
Great ambiance and delicious food! The chicken parm was great!
Anniversary
My wife and I were in the mood for prime rib. Our regular places weren't serving it for some reason. I called Lorenzo's knowing that was their speicalty. We were seated immediately and the service was outstanding. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. Our server made sure we had everthing we needed for a great night.
Great service and atmosphere. Always an enjoyable experience.
The steak was delicious, but the potatoes were cold. The service was mediocre at best. The restaurant wasn't crowded but our food seemed to have been forgotten to be served, Our waiter didn't seem very interested in serving us. The pat of garlic butter on our steaks was frozen solid. We've had much better food and service at Laurenzo's in the past.
Nice waiters and management
Always quality and exceptional service.
This is an alternative to Saltgrass, Goode Co Seafood or Carrabba’s with food that is more expensive but tastes the same. We went for a “date night” since we had never been. We both rated the entire experience as overpriced “meh.” It’s a bummer too, cause we wanted to like it and thought the decor was cool as we walked in. Finally, it’s extremely loud, it may be better suited for a big group that’s about to go out on Washington.
Food is outstanding. Service is second to none. Great menu with selections for all tastes
Great vibes.
Food and service are always great. A limited menu, but all the classics are there.
Great food and the best service!!! Great atmosphere as well!
