Laurel Point Ratings and Reviews
The Kale Salad is a big winner and so is the John Dory fish which is very hard to find. If you love seafood this is probably ther best place in the Valley. I miss Daily Grill's french bread but they have some cute little chef created buns. The just started a Monday Lobster night. Guess I'll have to check that out.
The short wine list was diverse and comprehensive in varieties. Service was outstanding, including a discussion of intro-level oysters for the Midwesterner. Great care was taken to accommodate a food allergy, which resulted in one entree being a bit behind the others. Really appreciate the manager's involvement with the allergy. Saving this for future trips to the area.
The food was excellent. Check out the coconut cake for dessert. I didn’t really need the server to grab my utensils off my bread plate and drop them on the table for later use when she cleared , but other than that the service was good The experience was very nice. Pricey for the portion smaller portion sizes but very yummy.
Great brunch at Laurel Point - besides the mimosa special (DO IT!!) and the fabulous crab cake benedict I have to say that the highlight of our meal here was the wonderful service by JOSH - friendly, attentive, knowledgable and so accommodating.. have been here a number of times (appetizers are always fantastic!!) but this was a new level of service - well done Josh and Laurel PoInt ... looking forward to coming back soon- which i will since i'm a neighbor
Our Saturday brunch was our first but by no means last time in this restaurant .The Maitre D' ,or rather Mademoiselle D' greeted us with great enthusiasm and seated us immediately. Joshua our waiter introduced himself and we were immediately served water . Drinks arrived very quickly. We learned that Joshua was not just new on the job but we were his first customers. He knew every detail off the menu and he was very helpful and attentive throughout our meal. Joshua was chiefly responsible to make the meal a delightful experience.
The food was excellent .Oysters were super fresh, crab cakes beautifully constructed and anointed with a wonderful hollandaise sauce. Price was very reasonable for this level of food and service.
We liked the restaurant, but were told the shishito peppers were not hot at all. I took one bite of one and it was the hottest thing I had ever had. My husband didn’t get any hot ones. When I told the waitress, she said “yeah about one in every 10 is very hot”. She didn’t apologize or say much. Very weird after telling us they weren’t hot at all.
Been here a couple of times now, for happy hour and dinner. Seems like a slightly odd location when you arrive but it’s actually great. Outdoor patio area with heaters and lots of space for dogs. Food is yummy and a good selection (non seafood options too) and they really know how to make seafood the star. Good service too. Will definitely be back.
I took a friend to dinner at Laurel Point for his birthday and was very happy that I did. Our server, Timothy, was excellent - friendly, attentive, and efficient. All of us were pleased with our meals. Overall, visiting Laurel Point helped make my friend's birthday a special occasion.
My dish was so badly prepared that I sent it back to the kitchen. I was told the manager was going to talk to me but she never came to our table. We want Laurel Point to succeed. In order to do that they need some consistency from the kitchen and more thought put into some of the dishes on their current menu.
The food used to be decent, but it has really gone downhill. The fish and chips was fried outside, but soggy inside, the scallops had almost no flavor and a very small portion for the price, the lobster roll was good, but the chips that came with it were stale. The only thing that was good was the burger and fries. If you want to spend a lot and get small portions of tasteless food, then this is the place.
Had a reservation for a party of four, and was taken to a table in the center of the busy floor. I asked to be seated next to the window at an empty table that was set for four, and was told that it was an expanding table, and it was being held for a bigger party. Of course, shortly thereafter, they sat a party of four there. When I registered my dissatisfaction to the front desk, they didn't know what to say, and could only give the lame excuse that a party of five had canceled (again, it had been set for four). Had they offered to comp some drinks or a dessert, I would at least have thought better of the way they treat customers, but again, they had no clue. Doubt we'll go back.
