Lattanzi Ratings and Reviews
The restaurant is lovely inside, charming and delightful. Perfect for a date. The service was excellent. They were very accommodating to my date that asked for them to make a sauce that was not on the menu. They did a great job, it was as good as, if not better than the Cappelini Primavera that I ordered off of the menu.
We had a special meal to celebrate our friends' 40th wedding anniversary. The baby artichokes appetizer was delicious and we all enjoyed it. I loved the mushroom ravioli. For dessert, we shared the panna cotta which was very good. My friend, who is lactose intolerant, had the fresh fruit platter and raved about the honeydew melon, which was amazing.
The service was very slow, and not attentive.
And the add the tip to your bill directly... maybe that is why there is not good customer focus on the service, maybe it was too busy... Bottom line, very good food, nice place, but the service is not at par with the rest.
Although our main entree (fish) was delicious, the service was poor. Second time to Lattanzi after the theatre and would not recommend nor return. We were ignored by the wait staff. Never to return with ground pepper for our salad, although all surrounding tables received that service. Never saw the wait staff to ask how our meal was, to ask if we wanted another cocktail, coffee or dessert. Adios Lattanzi. Too many restaurants in NYC for us to enjoy.
This was a PERFECT restaurant prior to a Broadway show.
We had a 5:45 reservation before a show, and were running a few minutes late. They were happy to hold our table when we called, and it was ready when we walked in.
The service was impeccable, including that our server asked us proactively if we had tickets to a show and what time it started so he could be sure we got there in time.
The restaurant was beautifully decorated, and despite the restaurant being almost completely full, it was not loud at all, enabling our party of four to have a quiet dinner conversation.
The food was awesome. We all ordered something different, and each of us absolutely loved our meal. It was one of those meals when your group won’t stop talking about how good the food is. We also ordered dessert, which was equally delicious. Salads, entrees, and dessert all came out with impressive speed, and were beautifully plated.
At the end of the meal, we were just a block from our theater, so we got there in plenty of time to get settled in before the show.
We would definitely go back to Lattanzi.
What a great find! Food was fabulous and authentic, Service was great, wine list was impressive and not ridiculously priced, and we could actually hear ourselves talk across the table. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone Who is visiting New York!
The food was excellent. Both my daughter and I enjoyed our dishes. We had an 11:00 reservation because we went to see a play before dinner. We were seated at exactly 11:00. The waiter was quick to rush our ordering dinner because the kitchen was getting ready to close. I was curious why a restaurant would accept a late reservation if their kitchen was closing. Other than that, it was fine.
Inviting warm atmosphere, professional service, delicious food! We were seated in the cozy back room, we loved it. The waiters were excellent, we felt well taken care of. It's a nice menu, classics and unique interpretations. We had their artichoke app, a pasta and a veal entree. The food was elegantly served, perfectly timed. Very good wine by the glass. It was delightful, we'll def go again!
Great place for lunch on a Monday. At 2:00, my wife and I were the only diners. Sometimes, that can mean less than stellar service, but that was not the case at Lattanzi. Our waiter, and the entire staff, were very attentive and professional. The food was excellent, and the wine list was also good with a number of affordable choices in addition to may bottles we would have liked to have tried.
Somewhat decent food, but disappointed in lack of flavor. Did not understand immediate dismissal of inquiry into possibility of substitution of pasta in place of risotto as well failure to follow through on both proper drink order (x2!) and dinner order. Had great difficulty most of all with lack of attentive gracious service. Perhaps, service staff was tired from craziness of theatre crowd?
We were fortunate enough to dine outside in the covered front patio. It was a beautiful place. The servers were very attentive. It was my birthday & a friend I dined with tried to get in touch through email to the restaurant to order a piece of cake with a candle, and nobody got back to her after repeated attempts. That should be addressed.
2 star service was poor and pretentious. Wrong entree served and we were challenged. Long wait for dessert and coffees. Staff reluctant to offer any accommodation on check and finally did without any grace. A shame since food is excellent. A very bad impression. Will have to think hard before returning.
