We got together with a group of out-of-town relatives for lunch. People could not say enough good things about the food, the ambience, and the service. It was our second visit there but most people's first. Lattanzi is outstanding. The food is a cut above--delicious, not the usual, and beautifully presented. The portions are just right: not too small, and not enormous. You can finish your meal and be satisfied and full without being stuffed. We had a beautiful room for our group in the back, with brick archways and skylights facing north, so lots of light. I'm so glad we were told about Lattanzi last fall!
The food was marvelous, and the atmosphere was terrific...very pleased with the overall noise level...great service and a very friendly staff@
Food was delicious, but fried artichokes were a bit salty, as was the seafood over linguine.
So old world lovely. What we ate was simple Italian food, exquisitely prepared: a green salad tender and perfect; pasta with vegetables that tasted of spring and attention. Dinner was before a theatre performance. We hope to come back to sample dessert and wine with dinner.
We have been to this restaurant several times. It has always been a good experience. This trip,we had veal scallopini, pasta and tuna, chicken molanese and branzino. All of the dinners were delicious. For dessert, their famous Napoleon. Perfect ending!
Pasta is great. Loved the cake bread Chardonnay.
Good food (although my husband thought the ragu was too salty), great location, good value, very nice service.
Very good food and nice ambiance.
The problem was the meal that my friend ordered was way too salty. She didn't say anything, until we were leaving, and she told the woman at the counter.
The other problem was they gave us dessert menus and then didn't come back to find out what we wanted. We had to wave the menus in the air to get them to come to our table so we could order coffee.
I felt terrible, since I made the reservation. My other friend and I liked our meal, but she felt it was too expensive.
I have been coming to Lattanzi Restaurant for over 30 years for my pre-theater dining. It has been consistently good the entire time. My favorite dishes include the carciofi alla giudia, the capellini primavera, and the fish and meat dishes are great as well. I highly recommend this restaurant.
We had not been to Lattanzi for many years; when we returned this week, our expectations were exceeded. The seafood was fresh and well prepared and the service prompt and responsive. We ate a pre-show dinner and, despite arriving late, were able to leave the restaurant with sufficient time to still be early for the show. A consistently great place for dinner!
Always, always a great meal at Lattanzi. Love those fried artichokes!
Great restaurant near theatre.
Been going to Lattanzi for years. Fantastic service, food, ambiance. Not much better anywhere.
Very good everything was wonderful
Family get-together. Great location for guests coming from NJ and Queens.
Excellent attentive service.
We always visit when we come to the city! Every meal has always been delicious. And the service is fantastic! I wish it wasn't so crowded so we could interact with the staff more.
Fantastic and ask for jimmy ! Greatest veal
Chop and service
One word, Excellent
The artichokes are a real specialty. The fish was ample, well prepared and well presented.
I have reviewed Lattanzi several times. We have never been disappointed here. The wait staff is very attentive, the food authentic Italian, served hot and tasty.
We are most happy to have this restaurant as one of our 'Go-to' places.
We enjoyed an early delicious dinner pre-theatre. Fabulous Jerusalem artichokes. Attentive service. Wish they had Brussels sprouts!
Our favorite place to dine whether going to the theater or just meeting friends. Excellent food, service, and location.
Enjoyed.very much. Food was great. Serviee was great . Got us out before show.
We were seated immediately. Service and food was exceptional. Definitely will go back-so many other things in the menu we wanted to try! Eggplant rollatine was to die for!
Good, nice choices on menu
Love everything about lattanzi. Great bar and food and service
The food was disappointing. I was hoping for a more inspired meal. Eggplant rollatini was over stuffed with cheese, & very little sauce.
We were seeing a play and had been told this would be a great choice for dinner after the play. We were not disappointed. We were seated immediately, server was polite and we always felt as though we were a priority. The staff went beyond our expectations, as well as the menu selections!
Was there for a college reunion and they were wonderful. Didn’t push us out-we stayed for hours....
Excelente como todas las veces que estuve. La atención es de primer nivel. Riquísimo todo, en especial el pulpo.
Da gusto pagar en ese restaurante a diferencia de otros que atienden mal y no es tan rico
Lo recomiendo !!
Lattanzi is excellent in every way. We will return next time we are in NYC.
Authentic Italian cuisine, excellent service and appropriate atmosphere. Really quite worth the visit.
Wonderful food, we took a friend here today for her birthday celebration & we loved everything about the restaurant. From the bread & matzah to the appetizer we had the beet salad & artichokes excellent. We all had the claims & linguine which if I was home I would have licked the plate just perfect. Too full for dessert just had coffee.
This is now my new favorite restaurant in the theatre district.
Service was impeccable very attentive to us. Our water glasses were constantly filled up.
We will be back.
seating was on time
staff was great
food was great
overall a wonderful atmosphere and the food was wonderful
When searching for Italian restaurants, this popped up as the "best Italian in theatre district/restuarant row" so after looking at the menu, we made reservarions and here we are!!!
This place is HUGE, two main dining rooms on the first floor, plus another upstairs, plus a backyard enclosed patio with tables!! Our party did not all arrive at once, but thankfully the unfriendly host sat us at our table - first upstairs (but no handicap accessble), then in the main dining room (but was extremely loud and some seats were in the middle of the main walkway), and finally in the backyard (which for most of the time, was great and fine... until rain water started dripping on us, from the roof cracks??)
Food menu was quite interesting (mainly with the extensive use of "Jewish-style" which the waiter could not explain in detail). We started with different salads (two green salads and one seafood salad, i.e. cold cooked seafood with diff sauces)... then got the chicken and veal stuffed-tortelloni, which was really quite filling, but some peices were hot / others were cold. Since it was so loud (both from conversations and rain patter on the roof), I have no clue what rest of my family ordered.
The wait staff was quite slow in taking our order, refilling drinks, ensuring satisfication, etc... but the food came out quick and there no issues!!
Was able to secure a last minute reservation on Saturday, probably because of the early time (5PM, pre-theater). Was escorted upstairs to a corner table in a lovely little room. The service was impeccable and the food top notch. Would definitely recommend.
Lattanzi is consistently excellent. The food is varied and well-prepared. The service couldn't be better. I make a point of eating there every time I visit from North Carolina.
