Lattanzi Ratings and Reviews
My first trip to New York and found this on open table the day of which was fabulous because most of the nicer restaurants were booked. The manager greeted us and asked if we were celebrating a special occasion which we were my birthday. We asked for recommendations for dinner he asked what we liked I said pasta my husband a fish dish. He had the chef prepare a special dish for both of us that wasn't on the menu. Totally fabulous and also presented us with a wonderfully fluffy delicious tiramisu! We will definitely go back on our next visit! Highly recommended ambiance was fabulous!
I have been going to Latannzi for years This is the first time I booked on open table We were seated up on the third floor , A dining area I didn't even know existed Good news was there was less noise up there Bad news is there wasn't much ambience and the service was slow because there wasn't much waitstaff around. Had to wait 10 minutes for waiter to come back and tell me they didn't have the gin and I requested for my martini So it was quite a wait for them to go back fix my drink and bring it back Never did have cocktail time because the food arrive shortly there after Would've preferred a glass of wine with my dinner However I was happy to get a reservation at a busy time I don't know if this would've been the case had I reserved on the phone as I usually do
I have come to Lattanzi many times, often bringing different friends with me. The food is consistently wonderful, tasty with a satisfying presentation.
I would highly recommend any dish that suits your palate. It’s all good!
Service at our table was a little off during my last meal but generally service is good.
What a great place to celebrate a family birthday. We arrived a bit early and sat at the bar. We had a lovely chat with the bartender then moved to our table. We all wanted different wines and each ordered a delicious glass of wine offered by the glass at reasonable prices. Appetizers were delicious! - tuna carpaccio, sauted artichokes and a salad. The portions were very generous in size and perfectly prepared. For dinner we all ordered fish - orata, bronzino and swordfish. My orata was fabulous, perfectly spicy without masking the delicious fish! For dessert we split creme brûlée. A perfect evening.. The restaurant was busy but not noisy. The service was attentive without being smothering. I love going to Lattanzi .
We had never been here before and will definitely go again. The waitstaff was knowledgeable, very friendly and extremely efficient. We were going to the theater after dinner, and there was no worry about being on time. We had pasta primavera and tortellini, both excellent. We shred a Napoleon for dessert, also very acceptable.
Great ambiance and service! The food was delicious, though the portions are not what I am use too. At most Italian restaurants I've been too, the portions are tremendous, there was definitely not enough to take any leftovers home. Overall great experience, and I would highly recommend this restaurant. Incredible homemade pastas!
We had dinner at Lattanzi before a show. In spite of having a reservation, it appeared to be an inconvenience for them to find us a table. The food was good but not outstanding. Service was a little spotty but in fairness to the restaurant, every table was occupied. I still think it was a good choice for a restaurant in/near the theater district and would recommend for that reason.
We had been to Lattanzi's on several other occasions and it is just as good as ever! Very pretty inside....food was outstanding....service outstanding as well and very accommodating! All in our party thoroughly enjoyed our dinner as we celebrated my sister's 70th birthday!
We arrived 30 min before dinner so the nice hostess asked us to head over to the bar for a drink in the meantime. Upon approaching the bar I looked at the bartender and asked for drinks, while I was talking the bartender asked me to move, said I could not stand there, that was where the waitresses waiters picked up drinks? The area was very small, I tried to order again and the bartender said again while I was ordering that I must move. So I moved over behind other customers sitting at the bar, and the bartender just starred at me , like , what the hell are you doing ? I was very very embarrassed at this point , in front of my wife, daughter and many other people. The bartender didn't even ask what I would like or try to make further contact with me? So upset I said you can keep your drinks forget it. But I'm pretty sure he could care less, but I said it loud enough that all around could hear? We left and went next door for a drink. I returned 30 min later for dinner. 3 different waiters came to our table asking us for our order? We didn't know the difference between them all, they did not tell us who they were? Finally we asked the 3 person if he was out waiter and he said no? Dinner was fine, you always overpay for dinner in the theatre district on Friday night , I understand. The food came out timely we ate and left . On the way out I told the hostess the the bartender was a complete a-hole. I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone. It was not enjoyable at all. I travel to NYC at least 4 times per year for dinner and a play. I usually eat at Carmines, been to Russo's and many other places, and never was treated like I was at this place. I've never been before wanted to try something new and it was a mistake. Hoping someone who cares will, see this.
