Amazing service, ambience, and food. Loved it so much that we went back the next night!
Lattanzi was a wonderful dinner. It had been recommend to my wife and I by a close friend and it lived up to its billing. We ordered multiple pasta dishes to share for dinner. We had Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, Spaghetti alla Carbonara, Fettuccine al Ragu', and Rotolo di Spinaci e Ricotta. Every bit of it was great and I would order that combination over and over again. For dessert, we had the Napoleon and Mousse di Cioccolato. The napoleon ended up being our favorite. We cannot wait to come back again!
We had a lovely pretheater dinner !!
Always amazing service and great food. Took mom for her birthday party and we had several requests...and they just made it happen. Loved it!
Generous portions, interesting menu. Food was lackluster but fine.
Delicious food, excellent service and perfect timing for us to enjoy our dinner and make our show without feeling rushed!
I loved this restaurant from the decor to the food it was wonder. Will for sure be a returning customer when I’m in New York.
Fantastic service, excellent meal, fabulous setting.
One of our favorite restaurants in the Theatre District. Service excellent and have never had a bad meal there…everything superb
Very Gracious … delicious … loved the service and the meal was everything we were hoping for!
As always. for 25+ years, Lattanzi never disappoints.
We love it.
Food was delicious- bread was a little stale. Ambience was beautiful
Loved this restaurant. It was recommended to us by a friend. Food was delicious as well as the wine. Our waiter was very knowledgeable and attentive. The ambiance was lovely and the history of this family owned restaurant was special. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Pre-theatre, our first in 18 months. Lattanzi has long been a favorite with it’s great food, lovely service, elegant ambiance and low noise level. It was as great as ever. Jimmy a wonderful maitre d. We’ll be back!
Went to Lattanzi post theater and had an excellent meal. Service was impeccable as always.
Great Service, great food, quiet, intimate. Great location, near the theater district. Would definitely recommend.
It is one of those pre theater places that basically cooks mediocre food and throws it at you. Our orders were not correct and then cooked badly. But you have to get to a show and so you bolt your food and leave. And the entire restaurant situation down there is so horrendous with all the outdoor places and the noise levels and crowds. Its like being on a Boardwalk in some third world seaside town.
There was also only cursory attention to our IDs and vaccine status. They did not ask and when we showed them, it was barely a glance.
Anniversary and celebrating daughters first job
Our food was really good and we also liked the fact that you could order a 1/2 portion of pasta
Excellent food and excellent service. Lattanzio never disappoints.
Great as always, glad to be back to theater and Lattanzi.
We’ve been to Lattanzi many many times but had to stop last year due to COVID. So this was our first time back in nearly 2 years. It’s always been one of our favorite restaurants in NYC. Unfortunately our dinners were very average. We were disappointed. New chef, maybe? Just not as good as in years past.
Loved everything about this restaurant. I highly recommend it
Good place for pre or post show - my pasta wasn't great this time but service is excellent - I've had good meals here before last night so I will give it another shot
Sadly, my return to Lattanzi after several years' absence was not a gratifying experience. Simply put-- the food was not good, particularly. My go to appetizer of fried artichokes was bland, poorly prepared (having barely been charred) and looked canned artichokes but I really can't be sure. It certainly wasn't worth the $26.
My Linguine alle Vongole--looked and tasted like it was made with flour to thicken it, also flavorless and the clams were tough. My husband's Chicken Milanese was thick and also flavorless. My friend's vegetable platter was fine. Amazingly, even our Diet Cokes, although carbonated, had zero flavor!! Perhaps they bottles were too old, or they got a bad batch, but it was both cokes. Certainly not up to par. Won't be returning.
Excellent choice before theatre. Great service, great food. Especially the Bronzino filet special and Napoleon. We ate outdoors but the inside is beautiful with exposed brick walls and nice bar area.
Lattanzi remains a very good option on restaurant row and midtown West for good solid old school Italian food at the higher end. Not a red sauce joint, but not super high end and sometimes that is just right. My wife and I both had different fish entrees and both were very good and lightly done. My son had the Cacia Pepi, which was also good. Good starters and good wine list, that was not too ridiculously priced for NYC. All very good. Service was excellent and management was very present. The patio was closed, which is very nice and hope will re-open. Side walk seating was good and always fun to people watch. Very good overall experience. We will be back .
I don’t know if the problem was with the kitchen, or something else ( it was never explained ) but we arrived early for a ore-theater meal (5:20) and waited over 50 minutes for our one course meal.
The food was good but definitely not worth the wait and the anxiety about making our show.
No time for coffee or dessert, we had to hustle to the theater.
One apology for how long it was taking , a number of “your order will be out very soon” ( it was never even close) and finally an apology and “ we took your drink off the bill.” ( I had had one drink.)
Lattanzi is always fantastic. Been going there for many years
Outdoor tables are not surprisingly loud-ish but that should be expected. The food was excellent and the wine pour substantial (though the glass price was $14) but service was spotty. We had to ask for bread when they served the main course because no one had brought it before. We had about four different servers in the course of the hour so perhaps that’s why.
This was my 5th visit, and the food and service were amazing.
The Artichoke items on the menu were the best I have ever had, and the cacio pepe the best I have ever had.
Look forward to the next time I am in New York so I can dine again.
My wife and I shared our antipasti, main course and desserts. All was amazing. The artichokes were especially good, the rotolo was light and delicious, and the conoli was so good. Coffee at the end was a nice accent, and the wine list paired well with the meal.
I would call this a definate revisit.
This is my go to pre-show dinner but I would recommend them for any meal. Food and service are A Plus.
Never a bad meal here!!
Wonderful to return to an old favorite. Good spacing of tables. Good service and yummy food.
Go there. Make sure you get the artichokes- an absolute must. All pastas are great. Went with party of five, got hearty portions, all claimed to be full with plates half empty, but nothing left on any plate at the end of the meal
Tried their restaurant week menu. Superior to others in the number and quality of choices. My baked branzino was truly tasty. Will definitely order it again from the main menu. Only a few days left to take advantage of NYC Restaurant Week at this legendary Italian ristorante!
Lattanzi was recommended by a friend, a great choice! Every member of the staff was exceptionally professional and friendly. The manager even offered to charge my dying cell phone! All of their suggestions, the wine, artichoke heart appetizer and the branzino, were delicious. I will definitely return when I’m back in NYC.
Lovely post-covid get-together with two long time friends. Went during Rest Wk and menu selection for dinner was quite large, including a few fish dishes, as well as many pastas. Service was excellent; ambience is a bit old-school Italian-definitely NOT new wave. Very glad I was able to go during Rest Wk, as the regular menu prices are out of my budget range.
