We had an early pre-show reservation on a Wednesday, so crowd was probably lighter than other times. Had a great table in the room adjacent to the bar (would recommend this room over the main room where you enter - less traffic and tables farther apart). Waiters were attentive and the food/wine was excellent. Would definitely return.
My birthday. We went after a show. The evening was perfect. Loved, loved the food and service. We will be back soon.
I can't say enough GREAT things about this lovely restaurant! The Staff is amazing! The food is amazing! Don't walk, RUN and enjoy this place!
We went for a pre theater lunch. The ambiance is quiet and tasteful. Service friendly and efficient. The food was perfect and our bottle of wine just right.
Ambience was fantastic.
Food was not.
I booked this place online assuming it would have homemade, fresh pasta and ingredients.
It turned out to be the total opposite.
My dad ordered the cavatelli and I had the linguini with seafood, both disappointing.
My sister had the spaghetti with bolognese which turned out to be the best meal of the three. However, she first ordered the lasagna special, which ten minutes after ordering we were informed it was already sold out. We had an 8pm reservation.
Presentation was sloppy as well.
I ordered the house special artichokes. They were greasy and thrown haphazardly on the plate.
Would not recommend and would not return.
Always a delicious meal at Lattanzi! The lamb shank special was delectable!!
Food was delicious and service great and they knew we were going to a show so they were very attentive to ensure we had a relaxing dinner but got out on Time!
We spent the day walking the city and were really looking forward to a good relaxing meal. Immediately we felt judged as tourists. None of the staff was very friendly. We ordered appetizers, dinner, and dessert and were in and out of the restaurant in 30 min! I guess maybe they are used to serving food quickly for the theater goers, but I honestly did not feel welcome in this restaurant. Will definitely not go back or recommend.
A simple but good quality stop if you need a reservation in the Theatre District . Ask especially for the Jewish menu, and on either menu order the artichokes Jewish.
This place has been around forever and consistently delicious. The service is always on point and like they are ninjas who don't bother you. My only complaint which has never kept me from returning is that I find their chairs a bit uncomfortable. But like with fashion comfort is secondary to good taste ;-)
Food and service are always excellent.
We thoroughly enjoyed our pre -matinee Theater dinner at Lattanzi! The food was delicious and reasonably priced. The service was excellent. We will be back!
Dining at its’ finest. Consistent over the years!
Excellent artichoke appetizer and delicious pasta and fish. Always a winner - and very good for pre- and post-theater dinners.
Wonderful restaurant. The food is great and the service is exceptional.
Very warm inside. Could use a few more smiles from some of the waiters.
Great food and service.
Once you have dined here, you will continue to come back again and again for the amazing food and experience!
Average Italian in theatre’s restaurant row. Not bad, nothing wrong - just nothing stood out. We knew that going in - wanted a not-too-tourist-trappy meal before a show and Don Giovanni’s was booked up a week in advance at our time slot. Picked this place because the pre-theatre menu had many choices, which was a good selling point. Setting very nice, staff pleasant and attentive - food average. It was ok for a meal of convenience.
Four of us did a late post-theater supper here and even though we only had some appetizers, desserts and drinks instead of a huge meal the service was great and we all pledge to come here again. Everything we had was beautifully prepared and the space is lovely and well appointed with nice linens and everything. The artichokes were a highlight as was the cheesecake, light and fluffy and gently sweet. Perfect with the grappa we ordered as well.
We come here often before a matinee on Broadway. Lattanzi is consistently good. They always offer a pre-fixe 3 course lunch for a very reasonable price. It is a gem among all the other restaurants on Broadway lunch row (46th Street). Great service, very clean, excellent menu choices.
Food is generally good. Have eaten there many times. This was a HUGH disappointing meal. Service was mediocre, portions shrunk, overall a non enjoyable evening il. I will not return. Spoke to the owner and he couldn’t care less. Meals in the future will be without us!
Artichokes are always tender, grilled with oil and garlic. Delicious buratta appetizer. The stuffed veal chop was raved about!
The food and service were good but the prices high for what was served.
Wonderful specials and service. So close to theaters. Great choice for after a show.
Food was fantastic. Would definitely go again!
Excellent Italian food. Branzino was great. Pasta outstanding.
Great night out for dinner
Cozy Italian spot with drippy candles, good food, excellent service. Lovely time!
Dinner before a broadway show. Wonderful place, extremely friendly staff. Two thumbs up.
I saw that there was a special menu that had sole listed. I asked the waiter if the sole would be available. He said yes. I asked if it could have the mushroom sauce that was on the scampi which was on the regular menu. He checked with the kitchen and said yes. I was with 3 other diners. Their food came out and I waited and additional 7 or 8 minutes for mine to come out. When it did it was the branzino and leeks which was a regular item on the menu. When I brought it to the waiters attention, he apologized and took it away. 10 minutes later he brings it back the same dish, but has taken the leeks off and replaced them with mushrooms with the same branzino I had sent back. I brought it to his attention again. He said that I was used to dover sole and this is their sole. It is filet of sole. I was insulted because, "filet" is not a type of sole. It is a cut, meaning cut off the bone. You could have a filet of salmon or a salmon steak depending on how it is cut. Dover sole or rex sole are types of sole, not filet. It the fish was definitely branzino. I was expecting him to remove it from the check, but he didn't and I won't be back.
The service was great and the entree was excellent.
A perfect place for a pre theatre dinner! Wine list is great and the food is amazing.
We go to the theatre once a month.
We eat at Lattanzi once a month
The combination just continues to work.
Food is great, service as well
So polite, so programmed to keep you from being late to the evening's show.
Absolutely the best Osso Buco I every had the pleasure to enjoy. Great lication in theatre district, cozy and faid ( not cheap) prices. A real NYC gem
Food & service were excellent. Great for pre theatre too.
We have had many quiet lunches here and less crowded dinners. Lattanzi had always been very accommodating for special diets. This Saturday night was too crowded, too noisy and the kitchen too busy to grant a need or two. .- Everyone loved their entree though! Will return, but maybe not for a Saturday night pre theater.
We got there 6:30 and got to show on time. Excellent food right in theater area,
We ate at Lattanzi before going to see Moulin Rouge. Location was great as was food and service at the restaurant. The food, service and ambiance make this a great restaurant for dinner before one of the shows nearby. We will come here again when we are visiting NYC.
