Everything was great - cocktails, appetizers, dinner and dessert. Great for pre-theater.
Overall, the restaurant was good for pre-theater dinner because of its proximity to many Broadway theaters. Food, service and ambiance was good but not great. The value was fair for the location. Soup was served barely warm. The restaurant is on two floors, neither of which has a restroom. The restrooms are in the basement making it difficult for those who are not able to easily negotiate stairs.
Lattanzi is my go-to restaurant when seeing a Broadway show. I love the ambiance and the service and food are always excellent.
I've gone to Lattanzi for years and love the food. The fried artichokes are some of the best in the city. But I've always gone during non theater hours. I've moved away from nyc, but brought my children back to see a Broadway play. So of course, I booked a pre theater dinner at Lattanzi. I was utterly and completely stunned by the rudeness of the service. After we sat at our table ignored for 20 minutes, I even had to get up to go find a waiter to place a drink and dinner order. Maybe this is life these days in nyc, especially pre theater? But it is a shame.
Lattanzi is just a wonderful Italian restaurant. The service and the food are always impeccable. We had the asparagus gnocchi and the veal piccata. Devine!!!!!
We picked this Italian restaurant on Restaurant Row because it has been operating for 36 years! It is a gem! Cozy and welcoming, and you can have a private conversation even though restaurant was full. We split an insalata mists and each of us had fish - sea bass and swordfish- yummy! We split a Napoleon for dessert- the waiter said they are famous all over NYC for Their Napoleons and we can see why. We ate pretheater and they handled the timing beautifully. Waiters were nice, and great Italian wine list! Bravo!
It was my daughters birthday and I reminded them and still not a mention at dessert. Also the waiter was robotic and not friendly. Will not go again.
Food was fresh and tasty. We were a party of 10 and were seated at a round table which I love so everyone can participate in conversations.
My recent repeat visit to Lattanzi was as delightful as the prior ones. The ambiance was calming and the service attentive. As always, the house artichokes were delicious. My seafood special and my friend's pasta were wonderful. We will be back.
A family get together the before seeing Hamilton! It was also a several month late 80th birthday dinner for my dad. We arrived and were promptly taken care of with coat check and a nice round 8 top. Everything was great from the wine and appetizers to the espresso and creme brûlée. Thanks so much for a memorable evening with family.
Always the go to place to eat. Great atmosphere, service, and hot, fresh food.
A pre-theatre favorite of ours for over 10 years. Home-made gluten free pasta!! Outstanding. Where else do they recommend a bottle of wine and offer to bring you a substitute if you don't like it!!??!! Be sure to take the time to understand the specials; they are always wonderfully unique. And the Napoleon is the best you'll ever have.
Great dinner and service was awesome!
This is my 5th time, and I always enjoy the experience.
Every time we are in New York we go to Lattanzi. Our favorite.
Received a warm greeting from staff, upon entering the restaurant. We were giving a great table in a corner nook. We enjoyed sharing the entrees. Great food.
I LOVE THIS RESTAURANT. One of my most favorite places in the city!
Food was great
FROM TEXAS - WE ALWAYS STOP IN FOR DINNER WHEN WE ARE IN TOWN!
Pre-theater excellence. Ordered off the menu : try the penne arrabiata or bucatini amatriciana
Every thing was excellent. Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxp
Welcoming a family member from the west coast. We have been there but she had never eaten at Lattanzi’s. We all enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere.
We visit Lattanzi often and have never been disappointed! From appetizers to desserts, the meal is always great. The napoleon is truly the best we have ever eaten and should not be missed!
Service is always excellent!
Fabulous Mediterranean Italian food....
A must to try
We always have a great meal every time we go to Lattanzi. The service is excellent as is the food. It's one of our favorite restaurants and I highly recommend eating there.
First time patron,we were very impressed with everything. Joined a couple from out of town who loved it. It is definitely a restaurant we will go back to.
The food was not very good. We ordered appetizers and entrees. They brought everything out at the same time. Had to tell them to bring back the entrees to keep them hot while we ate the appetizers. The food then certainly felt like it was reheated. No apologies by the staff.
Would not recommend this restaurant.
The fried artichoke was better than those I had in Rome
The whole family loved it
Very nice decor and lighting sets you the right mood . The table for 4 where we sat was more like a table for 2 which made it tight for wine , plates and bread basket. I was pushed up against the wall leaving me little wiggle room for my 6’ 1” frame . Overall food was nicely presented and delicious. The homemade Napoleon was 5 stars .
The food was fantastic!! The only reason I couldnt give this restaurant 5 stars was the wait time for 3 ppl WITH a reservation was too long. We were not seated utill an hour past our scheduled time. Half an hour would have been acceptable. Too many resevations were for the same time as us...5:30p...and mutiple groups were up at the front complaining of same. Sadly, the unpredictability of seating would be the only thing keeping us from returning...especially w/ my entire family of 6.
Excellent! Each time we come it gets better and better. I think the best restaurant on restaurant row!
Good quality of food and good balance quality/cost.
Nice people and place!
Meal , ambiance and service was excellent. Would highly recommend any time for theater shows dining or Rockefeller Center visit
I went with my family for pre-theater dinner before, the food was great the service was good a bit pricey but money well spent.
My husband and I dined at Lattanzi to celebrate our 60th wedding anniversary. The food was excellent and the service was excellent as well. The wait staff was very attentive and we were greeted by several very welcoming people as we entered the restaurant for dinner. Lattanzi is the type of restaurant that we would most likely go to only to celebrate a special occasion as it is quite expensive. I did notice some people sharing a meal which we would consider doing in the future to keep the cost down. In any event, we were happy we chose Lattanzi for our "milestone" anniversary celebration as it did meet and exceed our dining expectations.
We’re from DC and NYC is noted for its Italian restaurants and we weren’t disappointed. Would go back in a New York minute,
Consistently good food and service. Limited menu but what they do, they do well.
We enjoyed our meal and the ability to get a reservation before an early curtain. Would highly recommend.
Great food for pre or post theatre eating. Relaxing atmosphere, great service. I’ll go again next time I’m in NYC!
A great restaurant for pre-theater dining, it is located toward the end of Restaurant Row. The restaurant is deceptive. What one would presume to be a moderately sized restaurant is actually quite large with several dining rooms. The food is innovative and very good. Best of all, the staff is prompt, attentive, and courteous, with the exception of the occasionally rough busboy. This a factory. It is friendly, but they do give you your meal and send you out the door in a rather quick fashion. You never will miss a curtain eating here!
