20th wedding anniversary. Not sure the purpose of letting them know about something and they do not acknowledge what you put in the reservation. Food was really good. Our server did not seem to care about waiting on us. We will know next time.
Food was great but service was very slow. Went on a week night. Wasn't going to a show but the service was a drag. Sat at the table next to the front door. Seemed to have some confusion on who had our table. We felt forgotten. Becco next door shows them up big time.
We always enjoy the food at Lattanzi. The artichokes are to die for and the Napolean is the best Napolean ever. Our only complaint is the they sat us in the back room under the sky light and it was leaking onto our table since it started to rain hard. We had just finished our dinner and ordered desert when we asked to be moved. They accommodated us immediately but sat people down again at same table that we had once they cleared it and reset the table. Not sure what happened next since we ate our desert on a dry table and left. I think they have to fix the problem. Always good and will go back.
Wonderful service and homemade pasta was delicious.
An excellent meal pre-theater. We were not rushed. Food and wine are reasonable for NYC.
We'll be back.
Wonderful meals and a great Maitre D. Lovely environment except that Rudy Giuliani walked in and almost spoiled out dinner. Still, a fun place and he doesn't come every night!
Our reservations were for 6:30... we called that afternoon and we asked if we could come at 6... we were told that was okay... we were not seated until 6:50...I complained to the owner who said they were busy and that our call for an earlier time didn’t matter. ... he was extremely rude and I would not recommend the restaurant to anyone!!!
For a special occasion in Manhattan's Theatre District, it's hard to beat this legendary establishment.
Great food and ambiance
My first visit to Lattanzi will definitely lead to a return. Conveniently located in the Theatre District, this charming location features delicious food beautifully presented not overpriced. Make sure you order cannoli for dessert - best ever!
service was excellent and food was superb! highly recommend this restaurant!
Waiters were very attentive and food was authentic especially enjoyed the lasagna.
The atmosphere was very relaxed and added to our enjoyment of the evening.
Never ever a disappointment. Love it.
My friends and I enjoyed lovely wines, delicious food and attentive, friendly service. We will definitely return to Lattanzi.
Everything was delicious
Ask to sit on the terrace. Spectacular on a nice evening.
I have eaten here many times. We had a dissappointing meal.
The food was excellent and very, very fresh. We were 5 people and two of us had grilled combination fish platter, which was excellent , one had chicken which he loved and two had pasta which they thought was excellent. We also had grilled vegetables and broccoli rabe. Everything was perfect and the staff was very friendly and professional. They sang happy birthday to my 5 year old nieces. They do have a garden with tables but it was still too cold out to dine outside.
We are always looking for good after-theatre spots. Lattanzi has been here forever, but we missed it. Great food and service, many affordable good wines, and friendly knowledgeable staff. We are going back.u
Food -ambiance - service. Lattanzi has it all!
Really delicious interesting food beautifully presented. Gracious service. Thoroughly enjoyed this and we'll definitely go back.
We loved this restaurant, from the brownstone it occupies, to the very cordial woman at the desk to our server, to the ambiance and of coarse the delicious Tuscan based food. Homemade fettuccini stuffed with fresh ricotta cheese and spinach was just incredible. It’s perfect as a pre or post show venue! Jerry M
My sons birthday
Great birthday dinner pretreated. Love this place and I’m a picky foodie. They have an incredible seasonal Roman Jewish artichoke menu (truly special regional touch that you don’t see frequently— from the Jewish quarter in Rome where artichokes prepared in different ways are a true specialty). Kudos to the owners/management for bringing the special touch and for a wonderful and charming restaurant.
Food was exceptionally good. However, they were out of artichokes (their signature dish) by 8pm on a Saturday night--very disappointing!
Service was generally good (back up staff) but our waiter was pushy when present but often unavailable easily, unpleasant, and in general a negative experience. I have usually had excellent service at Lattanzi and because of that will return--but this particular dinner was spoiled by the service despite the food being excellent. Our first drink order went missing, but was found once I mentioned it to the maitre.
Always excellent! I’m not even curious about another restaurant. I’ve never had a bad time. The food is outstanding- great flavors, perfectly cooked.
Tremendous. Disappointment. !! Food. TASTELESS !
Had to request water, lemons. & bread multiple times
& never received ! Waiter was CLUELESS. ! Stay
The food was delicious. I don't remember the name of our waiter but he was excellent--attentive but unobtrusive. He had a nice sense of humor too which alway helps.
Loud. Had to fight for waiters attention. Pretty room. Some food good, some ordinary. Okay for pre-theatre
Great Italian food. I had the veal scaloppine with limone. It was excellent. Partner had the halibut special and thoroughly enjoyed it. Good wine selection. Attentive service.
We love the outside deck but it was cold and closed. We were six and they sat us at a table that was very very small
The service and staff were wonderful, the food was outstanding
We have been coming here more than 30 years, because we are never disappointed. Yes it is sometimes mayhem pre theater, but do yourself a favor and dine after the theater rush. A completely different experience.
As Schwarzenegger once said,”I’ll be back”!
Great menu and tasty food.
FYI - they won’t split the check for you.
Special weekend with my daughter.
We had two different waiters not friendly and felt like we weren’t wanted there.
Food was ok
We will not return
I have been eating at this restaurant for over a decade. Saturday night we had a large party and a reservation and still has to wait. While the food, room ambiance, noise level was great, we had horrible service. The waiters could have cared less. In fact, we repeated asked the water guys to get someone to get more drinks, more bread, dessert, etc. I expected more on this stop to your restaurant. We all left was a disappointing experience.
I’ve been here many times, enjoyed food, service was good. However, was not impressed with the service which put a damper on the evening.
We're a semi-regular at Lattanzi and this time around it was an off day. Firstly there there was a party on the roof and the place was packed.
This impacted everything -- especially the service which was extremely slow and the food which was just meh.
Everyone can have an off day but I hope this isn't a slow decline.
Loved Latanzi. Went before our show. Food was great as well as the service. Would def go back!
