We got to the restaurant about 6:10. After a long wait, appetizers finally came out. Our dinner didn’t arrive until 7:30 after we inquired a number of times as to why it was taking so long. I asked for pasta with only olive oil and asparagus. I specifically said no pepper, but my pasta which was supposed to be very plain came with red pepper flakes on it. Thankfully I noticed it before eating the pasta with the red pepper flakes as my throat can close from pepper.
We have eaten a number of times at Lattanzi before and never had an issue. However after this experience I will not choose to go back.
Bucatini all amatriciana was terrific. That is what I went for. The photos in the bar room are very atmospheric.
Pre theater lunch. Everyone enjoyed their meals.

A visit from out of town to relatives in NYC.
First time here.the melted mozzarella delicious,Good service.
I have dined at Lattanzi several times, and it never disappoints. The food is excellent, and always consistent. The service is first rate. I recommend anyone looking for a great Italian meal to make a reservation here. Excellent!
Excellent food, good service
Italian Jewish menu was great. Italian wine list had good inexpensive finds
I would suggest that some place on their website or outside their entrance or even on the menu that they say they do not take cash, only credit cards. I think that is a polite thing to mention for out of town customers. Otherwise, the food was outstanding! The atmosphere was fun, but very loud. Busy place. We were there on a Saturday night, so very crowded but managed to get a 7:30 reservation.
We were lucky enough to have the table outside - which made us feel like we had the restaurant to ourselves. The food and service were both amazing!
Food was fine. Service was poor. Our order was obviously forgotten. Nobody apologized or attended to us unless we flagged someone down. We are not tourists. We will not be returning nor recommending.
Great Pre-theatre menus! 5:30pm reservations...Seated promptly, finished in plenty of time to make it to the play with time to spare! Food with delicious too!
Lattanzi is amazing! It is the best restaurant in the Theater District!
Never disappoints. Been going for years. Excellent service.
Great for pre or post theatre. Great specials.Accomadates
for special requests. Romantic atmosphere. GO!
Was a nice experience
I try little Italy for lunch I was a disappointment
However we went a this restaurant Lattanzi and we felt like eating in Italy
I will be back for sure
The food just wasn’t very good. Veal piccata was alright, but a veal Milanese special was not good at all. Their Napoleon for dessert was delicious. Our server was excellent, but the food was just not up to par.
Wonderful food . Flavorful and nice portion . Staff was attentive and offered an opinion on the memo
Great meal, wonderful service. I had the veal piccata and it was perfectly prepared. We also had the pasta with shrimp and it too, was perfectly prepared. Excellent location, meal and service.
From the time we walked in, and till in the end, everything was excellent.Delicious food, attentive service, everyone was friendly.
The food was delicious and nicely prepared and served. The table location in the rear was very nice.
Lattanzi isn’t a treat. We had a pasta appetizer that was perfect. My veal dish tender with a great red sauce. My wife’s branzino grilled to her liking. Great location but worth traveling to.
I have been here many times. The best beef carpaccio and Panna cotta anywhere! My go to place in the theater district!
Our favorite pre theatre restaurant by far
The food was amazing! Great service !
Lovely place good food and service but expensive
This is a great restaurant with great vibes. Highly recommend.
Food was excellent.
Waiter not so much. Throughout the evening, he maintained a slightly condescending attitude towards our party. He was visibly perturbed when not all of us ordered alcohol.
When the bill was presented, he had the audacity to tell us the tipping guidelines recommended! It is no business of his how much we choose to tip! Plus, we are not idiots.
We paid in cash & when he took the check away, he opened the folder right away as if to make sure we tipped “appropriately”.
We left 20% ONLY because we knew that the tips are distributed amongst the bussers and we didn’t want to penalize them.
We WILL not go back, delicious food or not.
I went with my nieces for lunch, everyone was happy. I can’t wait to come back.
The food was just okay, the prices a little high, although I guess that's expected on restaurant row in NYC. We've had better for less in that neighborhood.
Wonderful spinach gnocchi! Went for dinner before the theater and were not disappointed!
Classic and exceptional Italian restaurant in the heart of Hell’s Kitchen next door to Broadway. Service is classically astute and food is classic with homemade pastas, fresh fish options and a nice wine list. Great for intimate dates, business dinners or family affairs!
THIS WAS OUR FIRST VISIT PRE-THEATRE DINING.
SERVICE WAS VERY GOOD
WE ALL HAD DIFFERENT DISHES AND AGREED THAT FOOD WAS EXCELLENT
WILL DEFINATELY BE RETURNING
Reservations at 5pm before a 7pm theater show- worked out perfectly with location and timing. So happy to have real homemade pasta and delicious food in a regular restaurant instead of some touristy, gimmicky chain. Wonderful food and wonderful service! Will definitely come again and recommend to friends and family.
Pre theater dining
Great food. Good for pre-theatre dining. Staff is very attentive.
The food was very good in particular the beef carpaccio and the Rotolo di Spinaci e Ricotta. All of the staff were friendly and efficient.
We love this restaurant! We make a point to come here anytime we're in New York. The service is always top notch, and the food is amazing!
