My go to spot in theatre district!
Never disappoints with great food and service ....try the artichoke appetizer!
I went for my special birthday and this was a lovely, quiet cozy restaurant. My family sat in the wine room. The food and service were both excellent. I highly recommend this restaurant!
My daughter and I were here for dinner after seeing a cabaret show at Don't Tell Mama, which is on the same block. We were about 15 minutes late for our dinner reservation, but were seated promptly and without an issue. The food is very good. My daughter had lamb chops and I had the pasta rolled with ricotta and spinach. We shared artichokes for an appetizer. The server, however, was not as attentive as I would have liked.
One of the most well run professional first class operations in the theater district that I have come upon yet.great food, service and value with the food arriving quickly. Highly recommend to anyone.
Food and service are top notch. Great restaurant for business lunch /dinner or special occasions. Always a memorable visit.
Lattanzi is located in a convenient location in the theater district. The menu offers a variety of options and the wait staff was helpful in making our selection. The meal was excellent and was finished off with a great dessert.
This is my go to Italian in NYC. The food is phenomenal, service over the top and the food is delicious. The best Napoleon Dessert in the city!
Have eaten here before consistent and quiet nice atmosphere. Would recommend.
The pasta quality was good, but overall the restaurant wasn’t mindblowing. Their desserts looked decent, but didn’t get any
Just a lovely and convenient choice in the theater district. Freshly made pasta was fabulous. Everyone loved everything they ordered. This will be my new go to place when I have theater tickets.
Service is friendly, knowledgeable and professional. Food superb!
A fantastic dining experience! The service was wonderful, attentive without hovering. The food was mouth-watering and perfectly done. We started with wine and appetizer and the portions were perfect. We topped it off with an authentic dessert and cappuccino. Don’t hesitate, you will not be disappointed.
Recommend by friends and did not disappoint... wonderful night out!
Was our first time be to this place! Food & service five stars. We had really nice experience.
We will definitely go back!
This is still one of the most authentic and best Italian restaurants in NYC. Great food great service, comfortable and quiet enough to have a conversation. It’s been my go to for Italian for over 30 years BRAVO LATTANZI
Everything seemed to click perfectly. From arrival, to timing of drunk at the bar to amount of time to being seated to the overall experience of sitting for dinner. The staff was attentive, but also knew when to just let us be. The food was great and we had additive twists to each plate that didn’t take away from our main meal. Always enjoy our time here and look forward to coming back.
Excellent service. Food was out of this world. Atmosphere was very realxing
We went because we had tickets for a show for my son's birthday. Unfortunately, the food was not very good. The salads were fresh and nice, perhaps the best part of the meal. But the famed artichokes were soggy. The branzino was pale and mushy and came with baby carrots. The salmon was tasty but again the accompaniments were vegetables that you would expect from a steam table. The gnocchi were ok - not great, not terrible. The tartufo lacked a chocolate shell and the napoleon lacked sufficient filling .The service was good and we did make it to the show on time. But at these prices you can eat much better Italian food in NYC.
An underwhelming experience and would definitely choose another place if I was in The City again.
We live Lattanzi! We’ve dined here many times over the years, and it’s always a great meal
Charming and comfortable. Noise level worthy of a conversation and delicious.
Great pre-theater. Food was fabulous
We haven’t been there in several years and the food was not as good as we remembered
We went for the artichokes and there wasn’t any
Overall very disappointing
A lovely dinner with great service, but we were very disappointed that at 6pm on a Saturday night they had run out of artichokes. Considering it's what they're most known for, it was quite a surprise.
Have been here many times, pre theatre.
Always consist, both food and service
they supposedly have a pretheater but not prefix.....why bother if.... the prices are the same.....and a bit overpriced.
Nice place with great food. Unfortunately, our waiter Ermir was a total snob. We were visiting NYC and had friends recommend this restaurant. From the moment we arrived, our waiter treated us like we somehow did not belong in this restaurant. He gave us a menu that did not have the entree our friends recommended. When I asked him about the entree, he acted disgusted and brought us another menu. He called it the “richer” menu insinuating we couldn’t afford items from this menu. I can assure you we can. After he took our order, he never came back to check and see if the food was prepared the way we ordered. He also never came back to ask if we wanted anything else to drink. We didn’t even consider ordering dessert because we’d had enough of our waiter’s attitude.
Always lovely, fresh pasta always delicious. Perfect birthday celebration.
Nobody cooks pasta better...Nobody! They are pasta pro’s, which is why we always return.
I was very happy with the service and especially the low noise level which allowed us to communicate easily without yelling. We ordered one appetizer to share and had 2 main dishes, 1 dessert hichnwe shared and cappuccino along with two glasses of wine. Overall I think the prices were reasonable considering what many New York City restaurants charge. I did not feel rushed which was much appreciated and I would definitely recommend this restaurant. We went before theater and had dinner at 5:15 in order to make a 7 o'clock show and it was perfect timing.
We love this restaurant. We have been here several times before going to a show. The wait staff is attentive, friendly and accommodating. I highly recommend this restaurant!
The service was impeccable and the food was outstanding. Our favorite place to eat in the city.
We ate here twice during our brief stay in NYC. Both nights we were going to a Broadway show, and this place was very convenient and efficient. This is not a big pasta-fest Italian restaurant, and we were happy to be served protein and vegetable dishes. The veal marsala is especially delicious: tender and smothered with tasty mushrooms. The tiramisu for dessert was also a treat.
We were celebrating our anniversary, so we wanted the dinner to be special. We shared the mushroom ravioli to start, and it was ok but not notable. I ordered the sea scallops which turned out to be only two medium sized scallops. I considered the serving to be skimpy, but the flavor was exquisite. My husband ordered Bronzino which had good flavor and was well cooked, but it was ultimately rather bland.
My biggest disappointment was the unfriendly service. The hostess was as warm and friendly as she could be, but, unfortunately, that ended at the door. I thought that possibly it was only our waiter, but then I overheard an older man ask a different waiter if he could help him get a taxi. After a significant pause, the waiter agreed to see what he could do. Surely that wasn't the first time that the restaurant has had that request from a patron, and they weren't particularly busy at the time.
My husband and I enjoyed the food immensely, both times we were at Lattanzi. We will be making another res. soon.
Lattanzi is my favorite restaurant for pre theater lunch. It’s cozy, it’s pretty, the food is wonderful as is the service . AND you can have a conversation .
We had a delicious meal and the service was very good. The staff is able to serve you in a timely manner to get you to the theatre on time.
my first time at this restaurant, and it won't be the last. Good food and service, close to all theaters.
I have been going to Lattanzi's for 30 years and the quality of the food and the staff is excellent. I would rate them no. 1 Italian restaurant in the midtown area. Good for lunches and dinners with a good wine list. Prices are reasonable for the area. The manager has been there for most, if not all, of the 30 years that I have been going there. It doesn't get better than this.
Great food. Excellent service. Would come back but pricey.
