Latour's is known as a refreshing innovation on the restaurant scene ... a place to sample a type and quality of cuisine that is difficult to find!

We continue to return because it was our favorite restaurant in town, and I keep Hoping it Will return to its former 5 star self. It is obvious when chef is not in the kitchen. The venison , a go to dish for my husband, was not up to The standard expected. The goat cheese ravioli were swimming in a fig sauce The sauce was delicious but overpowered the dry, yes sadly dry, ravioli The profiteroles, on the other hand, never disappoint
The servers should not take smoking breaks. No one wants to smell the remnants of cigarette smoke on a server when he is pouring wine across a table
In the past, someone offered to hang a diner’ coat. It’s a pity that they are draped all over the backs of chairs.
Sadly, What was once ‘special’, seems dialed in now
Great staff and the owner/chef always makes a point to make great food with great presentation and, time willing, comes out and talks to the guests.
There are always great choices on the printed seasonal menu. Add in a number of daily specials and it gets harder to decide. We both had the seafood crepe which was very tasty, followed by the lamb duo special and the boneless spare ribs from the regular menu. All great choices on a rainy, chilly evening. Thank you, Chef Michael.
Great food and atmosphere and it is quiet! Friendly staff as well.
Excellent as always. Great food.
This may be the most consistently good restaurant in the area. The tasting menu is both excellent from a taste standpoint but equally great for its variety of choices and cost. The main menu offers the classic French dishes so it's hard to go wrong with any selection.
As usual, great food, great service, great value. We'll be back.
Cute spot in the town of Ridgewood. Chef comes around to every table to greet guests. We tired the souffle, lobster bisque and the Beef Wellington Napoleon, all delicious.
Excellent service and food. Highly recommended. Have been going for years and never disappoints, always excels.
Dominic was terrific
Best restaurant in Ridgewood. Consistently excellent dining.
High quality food with an authentic french atmosphere. We had the foie gras appetizer with duck and grouper entrees. We capped it up off with a delicious apple strudel. The service was excellent as usual. There's a reason Latour is a Ridgewood staple.
Our server was as scrumptious as the food in this little getaway that I thought I was in La Riviere.
Went there for dinner on my 46th birthday. The food was AMAZING!!! We did the tasting menu, Which had many choices for each course. I will definitely eat here again.
This was our first time at Latour. The restaurant was excellent in all areas. The food was delicious. the service professional and informative. The value of a four course price fixed meal was terrific. We will be back soon!
Everything was outstanding
My wife and I chose Latour to celebrate our 33rd wedding anniversary. It was the perfect choice. We shared a bottle of our favorite wine while discovering what makes this quaint restaurant unique. Each course melted in our mouths and the service was perfection. Chef Latour took the time to visit with each table so we are able to tell him in person how much we enjoyed the meal. We cannot wait to return!
My wife and I went to Latour for our anniversary. We took advantage of the priced fixed menu(Tues/Wed/Thur 5pm-10pm ~ Sun 4pm-9pm. Prix Fixe $42.95 p/person) that had great choices. I had the escargot appetizer and my wife had the crab meat strudel. Both were extraordinary. For the main course we both had the Beef au poivre . It was delicious. We had the apple strudel for desert it also was incredible. Our server was very professional and very charming. The Chef came out and asked us if we enjoyed our meal, this restaurant is a real class act.I would highly recommend Latour!
Very good food. Ambiance is totally French like. The chef/ owner comes out to chat w each table for a while and gave the whole experience a special feel. I recommend highly.
Menu hasn’t changed in years. Boring!
We've been frequenting Latour for over 20 years and have never been disappointed. Good, inventive and tasty food and great service. Looking forward for our "next time"
Four course price fixe meal on Sunday evening. Every course was perfectly prepared and presented. Fallen cheese soufflé and seafood crepe were excellent as apps.
Frisée salad and French onion soup were tops.
Entrees of short ribs and steak au poivre presented on hot plates and the finest.
Pear tart and apple strudel completed a perfect culinary evening.
Priceless !!!! And yet value laden meal. Can’t miss.
Everything is excellent, but the noise level was extreme the night we were there. One particular table of 8 wwas quite boisterous which made it difficult for other diners to hear each other!!
A really nice place to celebrate a special occasion.
Everything was Delicious
Excellent menu! Well prepared and served! One of our favorites!
Latour is one of our local gems!! From Chef Michael who is so hospitable to the staff always going above and beyond to the food which is second to none!! WE LOVE LATOUR!!
Food was wonderful as always. Service was impeccable. Always an enjoyable evening
The food and service were impecable. We will visit again very soon.
Consistently excellent food. Staff is always very attentive
No matter what the occasion, LaTour should be on the top of your list for an exceptional meal. The food is always very good, the service great, dinner at LaTour is memorable.
We had a great time with our cousin and his wife who came to visit from Connecticut. Delicious food, great service by Patricia . Nice touch by the chef to stop at our table. Will definitely return.
Nice tucked away restaurant near train station, fantastic food, reasonable prices, well worth the trip. Chef came out of the kitchen to say hello and make sure everything good. its also BYOB,will be returning soon
The food is outstanding but we felt we did not have enough time between courses , even on a slow night Atmosphere needs some rejuvenation.
It’s the best restaurant in NJ.
Great food and service.
Restaurant week promo - - 4 courses for $45.00! Wonderful experience!
Fantastic French BYOB. Michael the chef is a master! Have the French onion soup and the duck.
Celebrated our anniversary here. Every bite was delicious! That it was a byob is a bonus!
