There was no live music as advertised. Service was very slow and the waiter forgot to bring me the requested extra salad dressing- he remembered when he brought the entrees which was too late. My chicken piccata was tough and tasteless. Food was not worth the charge. Would not return. Also expensive valet with no validation ($15.00)
Great view of the oceanfront
We had an 8:30am reservation. We were seated promptly. The ambiance was quite nice. The service was not. Our waitress was not attentive and at one time unresponsive.
The food was good.
Awesome Anniversary lunch with husband
Great service and food..
My wife wanted Swordfish but they were out so she had Mahi Mahi. When the food finally arrived, the Mahi was a piece of wood and my son's pizza was burnt. They offered to bring fresh dishes but the wait was already so long we ended up leaving. It's unfortunate because we heard such good things about the restaurant.
This is our go-to place when we want either breakfast or dinner on the beach. The food is consistently good, as is the service. The view of the ocean is so relaxing. When we dine at Latitudes, we feel like we are on vacation. We are never rushed and the open table option guarantees a table.
My husband and I went here for breakfast during our vacation stay. We sat outside next to the boardwalk. Amazing views of the ocean and beach!! Food and service were great! Watch out for seagulls.
The location is excellent and views are great. The brunch is well supplied and the a la carte is good as well.
Very disappointed with your new year Eve's meal. Over priced and understaffed. Food was cold and the waiter complaining about staffing. A Marriott restaurant should be better prepared and provide a better product.
A positive was the location right on the boardwalk was great and the live entertainment was good.
The waitress was terrible and they never notified me that there would be a "special" menu when I called to make the reservation. Then when I asked for the regular menu the terrible waitress said it wasn't available. 20 minutes later the table next to us ordered from the all day dining menu. Will never go back again! Plus the waitress tried to over charge us for the food and I got so flustered that I forgot my credit card.
At $ 40 per person, Latitude offered the most reasonably price Xmas buffet in the area. Sides, salmon, soup and vegetable were exceptional. Not impressed with desserts . Meats tended to be dry or over cooked and ham watery. However, for the price I would definitely do it again.
Don't want to say anything negative about the resort, we were there for Thanksgiving only, and thats what we were disappointed with.
Hotel was beautiful. The location on the beach is fantastic. Unfortunately the food was not nearly as good as I expected. Limited selections for Thanksgiving dinner. Prime rib was somewhat gamy. The table in the ballroom reminded me of the kids table from back in the day. Very good service. Overall, not nearly as good as other places we have gone for special occasions.
I went to the Thanksgiving buffet this past week with three other family members. We all very much enjoyed the food. There was a wonderful selection, and I would think most anyone would have found something they liked. My only complaint was the stuffing was weird, and very runny. Not sure why stuffing would be so sloppy?
My biggest complaint was the ballroom where they seated most people with reservations. The live entertainment was nice, but it was way too loud when the hostess wanted to sit us right in front of the stage/speakers. They refused to sit us anywhere else, because "that is where the 4-top tables are so that is where you sit". So, we opted to go sit in the normal dining room of the restaurant where we could actually carry a conversation. We just had to walk through the lobby back and forth with our plates.
The staff were very friendly, other than the initial person who was trying to seat us, and the food was good. It was very nice to not stress out on Thanksgiving! The nice view of the ocean afterwards when we took a little walk outside was nice too.
Decided not to cook for Thanksgiving and opted to dine out. We chose Latitudes Thanksgiving buffet and was not disappointed. A nice selection of proteins - salmon, chicken - as well as prime rib, turkey and ham at the carving stations - all good well. The sides of potatoes (mashed and sweet) along with stuffing, corn souffle, green beans were good. Salad bar and lobster bisque soup also available - along with spinach ravioli for the non-omnivores. And for dessert - keeping with tradition - pumpkin, apple, pecan and key lime pies, cheesecake and chocolate cake. The quality and variety of the dishes was good given it is a buffet as compared to other plated menus for the holidays and you can go back for seconds (or even thirds!) - just like celebrating at home.
We will not be having thanksgiving buffet there ever again.
Slow service and cold food..... But the views and location are amazing.
Right on the beach, it's a gem for breakfast, brunch and lunch! That's why we live in Florida!
great service, and great buffet
I stay at this hotel 3-4 times a year and am always amazed for a hotel restaurant, how good the food is. The service gets 5 stars, the staff is wonderful and that's why I keep going back!
The Atmosphere is perfect for a outside meal on the beach...
Food. Mahi Sandwich was delicious. Love the mango butter. Love the lobster bisque
Had a 1 pm reservation on Saturday excited for brunch on the beach only to arrive and discover they serve breakfast foods until noon. It's the weekend in South Florida...why would brunch end before 2pm. They were nice enough to make some eggs for me when I asked the hostess but that was because my server was MIA. The service was super slow outside on the beach. Very windy with nothing to hold things down. The time delay with ordering, service and getting the check from our server is why they scored low in my book. Not sure if I would go back. Plus they don't even validate for parking.
Beautiful view of the ocean. Unfortunately the restaurant is going through renovations so the view of the building wasn't as pretty. Great music by the hired musician.
Latitudes is a great setting for Sunday Brunch, right on the beach. The service was great and the buffet items were kept fresh, replenished often. There is valet or self parking so you don't need to fight for a beach parking place. Note that there are on going renovations to the restaurant but management makes sure it does not interfere with your view of the ocean or your dining experience.
First of all, the view was awesome -- located pretty much steps from the beach. The live female guitarist was also very good and entertaining. It was a good mood and good vibe. The hostess, I believe was Ukranian and our server was from over there as well and they were very hard to understand.
Start with drinks -- I ordered Stella and both times they were warm. Server informed me that all the drafts were warm and that I should try a bottle of beer. Sorry, I wanted Stella. I didn't take it any further...just put some ice from my ice water in my beer and problem solved -- now a Stella Light! lol My wife got some fruity rum drink -- which she said was good but pretty weak.
Dinner. My wife got the smoked turkey club wrap gluten free and she liked it a lot - said it was good. I wanted a steak. Filet or strip? I was hungry and decided to go with the Hawaiian Strip Steak. It was ok. I did like the mango glaze on top of the steak. Rice was good and the asparagus was cooked perfect - not too hard and not too mushy -- just the perfect crisp for me. The steak didn't wow me. For a $30+ steak I guess I just had higher expectations. Felt like a cheap steak.
SO, would I recommend Latitudes? Yes. Would I go back again? Yes, I would order something else and probably turn to top shelf drinks with ice! :)
The place was absolutely beautiful. Right off the beach. The birds were very obnoxious. But it's the price you pay to dine on the beach. Wait staff got our orders wrong and was not happy to correct them. Had to request a manager. But overall, really cool place. The potatoes are to die for. Best thing on the menu.
The food was mediocre. Not much of a selection....but the view of the beach was amazing. Again, the food is nothing to write home about.
Salmon was great. My son had burger and said it was good
The food, drinks, and wait staff added to the great experience of dining on the beach!
Thanks Latitudes for making our lunch so memorable!
Celebrating my daughters 20th birthday. It was a great area and the atmosphere was wonderful. Our server was great, but he needed some more help. He had a lot of tables to serve. It would have been nice for the Mariott to include my daughters desert selection. I paid for 8 people to eat and several deserts. We were staying at the hotel as well. Great atmosphere and waiter, but everything else was just ok.
Beautiful ocean view but slow and terrible service. Went for Mother's Day buffet, good was not that great and we paid $36 per person. There are lots of better places to go.
What a fabulous spot for Mothers Day Brunch. The food was delish, the ambience could not be better and the service was sensational!!!
Very confusing where to park. The hotel at first was not very helpful. The waitress was not very friendly. The food was not hot and sub par. Overall, not a pleasant experience.
Enjoyed the food, drinks and atmosphere. Staff was great!!
This place looks tired and unapealing. Desparately needs a refresh. If it wasnt for the view, there would be no reason to eat here.
We dined here on Easter Sunday. The brunch items were not as good as in years past. Very expensive for the selections on the buffet.
Brunch was great, however the service is not the best. Our waiter was ok; he mixed up our beverage order and our table was filled with glasses.
We were attracted to Latitudes for the beach location and convenient parking (it's a Marriott). While the location is great the restaurant was so-so. Our breakfast was good but not up to the price tag it came with and our service was slow. Nice place if you're not too picky and want the ambiance of eating on the beach.
