Latitudes on Sunset Key
Located on the secluded island of Sunset Key, just an 8-minute boat ride from Key West. You’ll dine on exquisite island cuisine served indoors or alfresco, both with breathtaking views of the Gulf of Mexico, palm trees and tiki torches illuminating the night sky. A most romantic setting and exquisite view of sunset. Advance reservations are required. Your reservation time is actually your boat departure time on one of our private boats located at slip 29 in the Margaritaville Resort Marina, 245 Front St. Please arrive 5-10 minutes prior to check in with our boat hostess. In the event of inclement weather, reservations may be delayed due to limited indoor seating. Dress Code is resort casual, collared shirt, shorts or slacks for men -no tank tops; casual dress, shorts or slacks for women. No beachwear please. For the privacy of the island residence and resort guests, we ask that restaurant guests remain within the restaurant building and dock areas.
I would have given them 5 stars but it was a cool night and we had to sit outside. PLEASE NOTE! If you don't want to chance the weather, make sure and specify inside when you make the reservation. I made our months ago but still was seated outside.
Excellent place to eat and enjoy the beautiful surroundings.
It was a delightful experience. Everything was perfect!
Dan our waiter was the absolute best I’ve ever had.
Excellent meal, service and ambience. A beautiful backdrop for lunch or dinner.
It was a perfect evening. We were seated at a beautiful table by the water, had an very attentive waiter, fabulous food and a warm night. I ordered the grouper which was delicious. My husband ordered the lobster. It was extremely tender. I cant wait for our next dinner reservation so that I can order it. For dessert we shared the beignets which are always fresh and perfectly presented. Our friends who were visiting us thoroughly enjoyed the dinner too. We are looking forward to our next reservation in a few weeks.
amazing experience. can't wait to go back. food atmosphere, ambiance all perfect. may stay at this resort next time
After needing a reservation a month in advance and requesting an outside table when we arrived we were denied an outside table due to no availability; however we sat right by the outside patio and not only were there tables available upon arrival within 10 minutes, there was not one table taken and still not anyone sitting on patio or in most of the restaurant when we left. So disappointing to not be able to sit outside and enjoy the breeze and better ocean view. Even if it was a staffing change or issue (which is the only explanation i can even come up with) I would hope a restaurant of this magnitude would have allowed their server to wait on us outside since there was plenty of table space.
Overrated bland food that caters to upscale bland palettes. Key West is rich with dining options and Latitudes needs to step up its game. My friend had the Cuban sandwich and I had the local snapper. We had far better Cuban’s and far better Local fish elsewhere. This was booked as our fine dining lunch in our last day, what a let down. The required boat ride and view was charming & beautiful but the resort and island architecture was sterile and overly uniform. I much prefer the charm of the local architecture in key west. If the food was amazing it would of made up for all of it.
We always make a point to eat at Latitudes every time we’re in Key West. It is such a beautiful location and the service is wonderful. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a special meal in Key West.
Our waiter Michael was outstanding
Chocolate martini was excellent
Had an outstanding time
From Key West Town we took a boat over to Sunset Key where Latitudes Restaurant is located. We came for for a late breakfast on our second day in Key West. Magical is the only way to describe the setting over looking the Caribbean waters on the terrace, with only the sand between our table and the water.
Our server was was very helpful and paced our breakfast order first with coffee and fruit platter then hot lobster eggs Benedict.
I highly recommend making reservations in advance of you trip to enjoy the gracious design of Latitudes, appealing menu selection and perfectly prepared breakfast.
Excellent service, ambiance. Beautiful birthday evening.
We come here whenever we are in Key West. Such a beautiful venue and excellent food!
Location is amazing! Food was very good. Hope to return very soon!
Was a lovely experience with exceptional service. Will be back.
Absolutely wonderful. Starting (and ending) with a boat trip to a private island makes your dining experience unique. Restaurant has indoor and outdoor seating with a great view over the Gulf, it feels like you’re literally on the last Key. Michael, our waiter, was very professional and further enhanced our dining experience. We tried the conch, red snapper, key lime pie, coffee and Prosecco and we enjoyed it all. It was our last day on Key West and Latitudes felt like the Grand Finale!
A wonderful meal to celebrate our first time in the Key. Unfortunately it was a day of pretty strong winds and cool temps even for January which made for a somewhat cool room in which to dine. But we had a delicious meal and enjoyed the views.
Great food. I had the fish tacos and they were awesome. I do wished I had ordered a different side. I didn’t like the sweet potato salad. It was more like puréed My husband had Cuban sandwich with fries and they was very good.
We must of had an off night . I order the sword fish special and my wife had another fish dish . Half of my fish had great flavor but the other half was was bland. My wife dish wasn't anything special .
Although the food was very good, we were rushed through dinner, and a group of diners in the room next to us was raucous and obnoxious.
It was a cold and windy night and the staff made no effort to accommodate us inside. There were tables on the patio with heaters but they made no effort to move us. Other staff did move another party to the patio. We had to ask for wraps even though another party was offered. Our waitress was unfriendly and could care less about our comfort.
Michael made the experiece!
Great service, great food and wait staff awesome!
Fred and Margy Beyne
Absolutely fist rate in every way. The restaurant is very pricey, that's why I rated it 4 stars for value.
But, for a special lunch or dinner it cannot be topped. Service, food, setting are all wonderful
Great service! Our table was amazing, right on the water. Entree portion was huge! Definitely glad we split it.
The boat ride over to Sunset Key was smooth and fun. The setting of the restaurant is superb, and fortunately the sunset the night we went there was breathtaking. The menu was varied and interesting with lots of very good choices. The food was excellent, although both the cobia and lobster tail were very slightly over-cooked, and therefore were not as moist as they should have been. The flavors, however, were terrific. Kudos to the restaurant for allowing diners to bring their own wine for a corkage fee. Finally, Ivan was an absolutely first-rate waiter in every way. Overall, a truly wonderful experience!
We went here as part of a long weekend anniversary trip. Amazing experience!
Unique setting was great. Dishes were hit or miss. Some items were not as described on the menu. An arugula side salad became a mixed green salad, for example. Caesar salad was good, but grouper sandwich and burger were ho-hum. Clearly, you go for the setting and not the food.
We had lunch on Sunday. Typically we opt for dinner at sunset but the lunch was just as nice. The menu is full and we had wonderful options. Our next trip we need to try the brunch!
Our guest enjoyed the experience .
A perfect breakfast date with amazing service from the boat ride to the hostess to our wonderful server, Dan. We will be back next time we are in the keys!
Food and service were outstanding. Boat ride to Latitudes adds to the ambiance. All top shelf service and cuisine
It was a great experience and the food was incredible
Loved the location, the vibe, the service and most of all the food. We love this spot so much. Always our favorite place in Key west. We try to make it more than once during our week stays, but reservations are hard so reserve well in advance. So good!
Restaurant and view were amazing as always. After dining here many times, I feel like the menu has become stale. The dishes seemed under seasoned and bland.
Best place in Key West!
Beautiful place for lunch or dinner, couldn't ask for a better place in Key West
Fanatic dinner in Key West. The short boat ride at sunset was a wonderful prelude to a delightful meal. Service was attentive. Plenty of local fish options. We enjoyed our meal and drinks. Free parking at Margaritaville was helpful.
Wonderful ambience...great view of sunset. Recommend outside dining weather permitting.
Must go when at Key West !! Food, atmosphere and service was excellent. Must have the Keylimecoloda !!
