   We dined as a family group of 8 on a Friday evening. Restaurant was quite busy, waiter was rushed off his feet. But he was polite, sociable. The menu was very limited but that’s often the case in a hotel restaurant. The food took over 30 minutes to come after we ordered (we only had a main course each and a couple of sweets). Food was ok, burgers and fish and chips acceptable. However the gammon was dreadful, it was basically tough thick bacon! Ambiance of the restaurant was good, modern with plenty of room. Probably wouldn’t return to dine here although price of food was ok, drinks similarly. Too many other places to choose from in Torbay which provide much better food, service, etc.

   Do not go here, myself and my friend were staying here, went down for dinner, place was empty, the manager took a look at us up and down, and said they were fully booked. Thought it was strange, so I went to their online booking reservation, and they had loads of free spaces. So I booked at 7pm, I told him we had a reservation, and he wouldn’t even look at me. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. I’m not being a snob or anything, but I run a very successful business. Drive a Range Rover and a Tesla. And the fact that he looked me up and down was just disgusting. The arrogance of the manager needs to be reset for sure

   Was a lovely day - Mother’s Day food was delicious Servers were polite, quick and efficient.

   The waiter, Alex, was rushed off his feet trying to serve everyone on his own. Food was good

   I booked this as it was our 20 year wedding anniversary. Did not have a great experience. Our “booked” table was not cleaned nor set properly. There was mint sauce on the table, which the waitress put the menus on top of. We then got it all over our hands when we were holding the menus. Had to call them over to clean it. Our table was the only table with no water and drinking glasses. Even when the waitress realised we didn’t have any, they just looked the other way and walked past. The menu was very limiting (not too sure why sandwiches are on the evening menu) and way over priced for what’s on offer.

   Food was really good. However the service was poor. Drinks were ordered and then not brought over, had to chase a few times and we were charged extra for drinks. Condiments weren't brought over also despite being asked if we wanted any. And main plates took ages to clear and we had to chase up our deserts. Good location but overall disappointed especially on Valentine's.

   Food was nice and restaurant has a lovely view. Staff were pleasant but need some more training.

   Celebrated my wife’s birthday here! Overall ambiance was exellent. The food was amazing! The staff was wonderful! The f&b staff who attended to us was very professional and served us with a smile. The wild mushroom Tagliatelle was the best I’ve ever had. The Salmon was cooked to perfection too! The live band outside was a bonus. Such a lovely experience spending birthdays here. Did not disappoint at any thing we are satisfied just like last year but this year’s menu was far more better than the previous one. Portion was good. We found the mouth watering calamari in paignton that we had last year on the sister’s hotel next door so we are very happy.

    Very poor service . Forgot half of the food order: waited a long time for both drinks and food. Could have been just a bad day. Location was excellent. The manager tried to compensate in the end
