Latin Flavors Steakhouse
The server was very friendly and the food was delicious.
Everything was OUTSTANDING! They did an EXCELLENT job making my wife's birthday memorable. The music can be turned down just a little. We've already recommended to others and will be back!
So very awesome to have such a high-end restaurant inWinder Ga. looking forward to the deck on the rooftop to open this Spring!
Great place for brunch or dinner! Service is outstanding and the dood is wonderful!!
Latin Flavors Steakhouse is a new upscale restaurant in Winder. My husband and I made reservations here for our 3 year anniversary weekend. It is really nice on the inside and I loved the ambiance of it all. It also has an upstairs that leads to the roof, which was closed when I went (February 29, 2020), due to the cold weather. However, I definitely plan to return during the spring and summer months so that I can get a feel for that. They also have a Speakeasy section in the basement of the restaurant, which I did not get to see but I definitely plan to.
The food was good. I got the shrimp pasta and it was a bit spicy for my taste (not fond of spicy food but I wanted pasta for dinner); however, the shrimp were jumbo sized and I loved that. It was also good, overall. My husband had a mixture of steak, chicken, lamb, meatballs and steak fries. His dinner was AMAZING. The lamb and steak were cooked to perfection! I would definitely get the lamb or steak during my next visit.
Our bill ended up being around $120 before tip and that included an appetizer, two entrees, two drinks of scotch on the rocks and a mixed drink. I am giving this information just to help those wanting to know about the pricing since there are no prices on the menus online. However, the bill can definitely get up there, depending on the entree and the alcoholic beverages. Hope this helps! :)
This was our second visit in two weeks. Our first visit was on a week night. Place was moderately busy but not too bad. Waitress was not very attentive but the food was great.
Decided to meet some friends for dinner tonight (Saturday)
I made reservations on-line three days in advance via Open Table. Our reservation was for a party of four adults.
We arrived promptly at 6:40 and met our friends at the bar for a cocktail while we waited. Well, after 40 minutes the hostess offered us a table practically at the front door.
I politely said no thank you. There was a table for four that had finished and left. I asked if we could have that one, she said yes, let us clear and re-set it. Well, I kept watching and waiting and finally after another fifteen minutes had passed and NO one was making an attempt to clear the table, I approached the Manager and explained our situation. He himself and another waiter promptly cleared, re-set and had the hostess sit our party. Almost an hour after we arrived for our 6:45 reservation.
We ordered another round of cocktails and placed our order. Two orders of Salmon and two Ribeyes.
The manger came back around shortly and offered us an appetizer on the house. Very nice of him to do so.
Unfortunately, my Steak was over cooked as well as my wife’s Salmon. Our baked potatoes were hard and undercooked. Once again the manager came by to check on us and I reluctantly informed him about my Steak.
He offered to have it replaced and I politely declined and so he took my Steak off the bill. Mind you, I only ate one quarter of it. I was grateful he did so we continued to finish up our meal. My wife only ate half of her Salmon but said it had good flavor even though it was over cooked. Unfortunately still, our friends were finishing their meal only to find a long black hair under her Salmon.
I pointed that out to our waitress and not to the manager.
She must have said something because it too was taken off the bill. We won’t go back.
Overall I feel the value isnt justified. The flavor of the steak was lacking and I feel that I could have paid for a better tasting steak at a lower price at a chain steakhouse restaurant. I had to cut up my lettuce in my ceasar salad, and we were seated by the door where the cold draft kept coming in. I can truly appreciate paying a higher price for quality food, but such wasnt the case and I was dissapointed. My friends ordered two types of fish and they felt the quality did not meet the price either.
Love Latin Flavors in Winder Georgia. Food is always excellent. Recommend this restaurant highly.
Very flavorful food. Great atmosphere and service. A welcome addition to the area!
The atmosphere was great. Very quiet and relaxed.
The tuna, salmon, lamb and steak were delicious. I can't wait to try the other dishes!
We were there for a birthday dinner, and they brought out the dessert empanadas, which were fantastic, also! My two faves are also on the menu.......creme brulee, and bread pudding. The espresso creme brulee was amazing, and we will be trying the bread pudding next!
Service was a little iffy, but they were changing shifts, so it was understandable.
I really hope that the people support you in this endeavor, because we need more restaurants like yours!
Our goal is to eat with you on a weekly basis!
Finally a restaurant that uses proper flatware, glassware and china. Not in Buckhead, but in Winder, GA. Chef/owner came from Pampas Steak House. Food was incredible.
We had a great experience in this new hidden gem! Food, service, ambience, all excellent. After dinner we listened to music and fellowship in the Speakeasy downstairs. Who would’ve thought there was such a great place in Winder. We will be back!
Service was great love the atmosphere, food was very good just small portions and large price
The appetizer, main course and wine were delish. We had grilled octopus and scallops with rice. The taste, presentation and freshness was on point. For dessert, we had the lava cake, which had zero lava. It was dry cake with ice cream.
The servers were knowledgeable, friendly, and checked on us often.
Service was great and so was the food. Speak Easy looks like a pretty cool place to hang out. Will be back!!!!
Great food and great service! So happy fine dining has come to Winder!! No longer do we have to drive to Atlanta or Athens to for date night or a girls night out!
Excellent flavors for the food.
Steaks were very nice cuts. Quality meat. Very nice flavors.
Very nice lunch menu.
Excellent service. Several other floors of the restaurant open or opening soon.
We will be back for dinner soon.
I don't think the restaurant was quite ready for the sheer volume of Valentine's Day. Some people offered bread, we were not. Some of our food was like warm; taste was good to great though. To be the upscale portion of this three tier establishment, the dress code was all over the place. Most people were at least business casual or better; but there were also people in jogging pants and tshirts. At $55 person just expected a little more adherence to a somewhat of a dress code.
Chicken empanadas were delicious! I could eat an entire meal of them, but that's not an option. Service was friendly, but entirely too slow. Had the steak with pesto pasta for lunch. I had the same dish on another occasion and it was delicious, but not on this visit. Steak was cold and both lacked flavor. Didn't say anything because I didn't have time to wait for a remake. Lunch service took almost an hour and a half. The ambiance is beautiful. Tables are slightly crowded. Feel it is overpriced.
Steak was o.k.; however, the mashed potatoes that came with it were hard and barely warm. The appetizer (empanada's) was good. It has potential and maybe it's just growing pains since they haven't been open long. The seating is very cramped and it makes it very difficult to have a private conversation without all of the tables around you listening in. If they are going to compete with the other high end steak houses, then they will need to step up their game or lower their prices. We may give them another try when the rooftop bar opens; however, until then we'll wait on them to work out the bugs.
Everything was wonderful. Our server was awesome.
So many surprises! So many good dishes! Where do I start?
Latin Flavors has been open for only a short while. Oftentimes there's a "breaking in" period when service, kitchen, bar, and final results get worked out. Not here. They are running like a champ. The welcome, the seating, the service, the food - totally prepared for us, totally performed for us. We were delighted with the result, and we're planning our return!
The restaurant is absolutely beautiful! The menu has a little something for everyone. We started with the octopus which was tender but no very flavorful. We had the scallops which were outstanding and the special halibut. Nice wine selection. Pricey but worth it.
Change the name, and then maybe review would be better. What I mean is that it should not be called Latin Flavors. There are no Latin flavors. I got a soy chicken with a tropical fruit salsa. Someone should tell the people who run this restaurant that tropical fruits does not mean Latin flavor. Plus, I have never been to a Latin restaurant that did not serve beans of some sort. I got plain white rice, and caramelized bananas. Which surprised me, because I expected plantains. What I got was a half a banana sliced and creme brulee style, but even that wasn't cooked enough to give the crunch that a creme brulee has. But when does a restaurant serve a piece of a banana as a side for an adult? The 2 chicken breasts were tiny and looked like they were for a child. The empanadas were great. The brussel sprouts side was delicious according to my wife. The potatoes gratin was ok. The mac n cheese was gross. My daughter took 2 bites, and then stopped. My other daughter got spaghetti and meatballs. 2 bites, and then done. There was no red sauce, and no flavor. My wife got octopus. She said it was bland and lacked any flavor worth eating. I had high hopes for a new restaurant in the booming Winder area. What a mistake. I would not come back to this restaurant at all.
My daughter and granddaughter plus my 7 year old great granddaughter enjoyed dinner. The food was excellent. The atmosphere. Excellent. I especially enjoyed the music. I will recommend this to all my friends.
Really loved this restaurant. Wonderful menu! They have great choices, fish, steaks and small plates! Food was cooked well. Service was great.
A few things that would really make it perfect, the lighting was way too bright. They need to be dimmed in the evening. It was just too bright. It was a very loud restaurant as well that could use some sound muffling panels. Other than that we loved it and will 100% be back!
The steaks were perfectly prepared. Speakeasy was a nice place to get away shoot some pool. Once the rooftop lounge area opens, great view for nice evenings for dinner.
Amazing experience. Will be back for our anniversary 💝
We were looking for different and upscale and just happened across Latin Flavors on OpenTable. You can imagine our delight at the great food and ambiance! The wait staff and management were friendly, helpful and obviously enthusiastic about service and quality and making sure you had a great dining experience. My husband had a NY Strip and I had the trout special and we were both pleased with the different flavors and spices. I highly recommend their key lime Martini!! Deliciously surprising!! We will be back!!
This place is amazing, the best filet I’ve ever had!
Excellent food and wonderful service! Will definitely be returning. Best chimichurri Ive had in a restaurant
A very lovely place for dinner in Winder but I only wished that the upper levels were opened already.
Excellent food and service! Great atmosphere. Highly recommend!
Incredible food along with impeccable service, will be back again and again!!
Very wonderful experience. The service is exceptional. The food pairings are flavorful and delicious! The Brussel sprouts and plantains are incredible. Must haves!
Serious service issues. I hope they resolve them because food was outstanding.
We tried the new restaurant here in Winder! Food was really good! Will definitely be going back. Might be a little pricey for the area but they have some other non steak options that look tasty!
Excellent food and service! Will be back!! The empanadas are so delicious.
The food was awesome. I have eaten there 2 times now and will be back again.
