   Wonderful restaurant and delicious food. Staff including owner are highly attentive. A must go to when in Saint Martin!!

   Prompt response to request for reservation. We arrived early and were seated immediately and met Alexandre the owner who greeted us, explained the evening and then allowed us to order drinks-full bar. Alexandre then explained each dish on then menu and answered questions. When it came time to order, I had a few more questions about the meat and our server jumped right in and confidently answered my questions. Starters were bone marrow bruschetta and seared foie gras. I’m a bone marrow guy and it was delicious but of course very rich. My wife loved her foie gras taste and presentation. Wife had the Simmental filet from France with a side of truffled pasta and she savored every bite. I had one of the Wagyu steaks from Australia- a sort of sirloin with a fat cap along one edge- my steak was perfect cooked and the flavor exquisite. We have excellent steak all the time at home in the Midwest, but these steaks tonight were top notch. For dessert we had a beautiful fresh goat cheese with black olive jam (more jam with the cheese please) and an interesting take on a coffee cheesecake. Service was impeccable and we asked for several additions during service which were promptly delivered. All in all a wonderful night with very friendly people. Definitely would return to try some of the other dishes particularly the seafood choices

   L’Atelier exceeded our expectations. Right from the start the owner meets you and explains his menu. This is a nice touch because he seems genuinely proud of his ingredients and preparation. Our food was prepared perfectly and served professionally by an excellent staff. Leave room for the house speciality dessert. A great experience in Orient Bay dining.

   Have been here several times, always a memorable experience. The owner Alex was there to welcome us and personally go over the menu. For the appetizers, we had the Crispy Poach Egg, which was amazing. The Brushetta with Beef Marrow was also great, along with the Ceviche, the Green Salad Buratta, and we shared the two cheese plates, the Brillot and the Goat Cheese. We could have stopped with the starters, as they were all great, along with the fresh bread, but we continued. The entrees included the Rigatoni with sliced filet and mushrooms, which was excellent, The yellow fin Tuna steak was delicious, The AMAZING duck breast cooked to perfection with thyme honey sauce, and the Braised Beef short rib, which was sooo good. We shared the truffle risotto, and it was very well done, with perfect texture. We finished off the meal with the bread pudding and apple tart-tartan, which was really a start by itself. The drinks we started out with should be mentioned, the signature smoked old-fashion was really a great start, and the mango mojitos were very good, although thr mint could have been smashed better for more intensity. We had a Bordeaux with the meal, and i have to say, the staff could not have been more attentive or perfect in execution. If you are headed to Orient for a meal, this is the place. The meal ended with complementary shots of a rum with fresh squeezed passion fruit juice. Yum.
