Fresh mozzarella, basil, our famous tomato sauce.
Our dinner was very good. We always like it here
Its the third time I have been there and all 3 times the food is awesome, the service great and overall a great experience. Our waiter, Carlton was wonderful- he made our experience even better.
Delicious food, great attentive server, large portions
The mushroom and truffle pizza was amazing. We sat at a high top table near to the bar and it was a bit hard to hear due to the noise level. There are tables in a side room that may make it easier to hear each other. We enjoyed our time though.
Food was excellent. Waiter was great. Bar service was extremely slow.
DISAPPOINTED WITH FIG PIZZA NO FIGS TOO SALTY REWITE MENU OR HAVE SERVER INDICATE NO REAL FIGS
The atmosphere was great. The server was so nice and attentive. The food took a while but the server was honest about a back up/ mix up in kitchen. Food was pretty good.
I always love the arugula salad and Margarita pizza! Everything looked great as it passed by us!
Noise level comparable to rock concert. Service slow and food delivered hit and miss. Veal was atrocious. Way way over rated
will place this on our rotation
love the meatball salad, the broccoli rabe-sausage, and the cheesesteak eggrolls
Food was ok. The Italian sausage bolognese I had high hopes for and it was just ok.
Our waiter was awesome!!!
If you’re looking for delicious Italian food, this is the place. My friend had a pizza, and I had the Fire panini. Both were mouth watering .We were there early on a Sunday when it wasn’t crowded so I can’t comment on noise level. Service was excellent, and I will definitely return.
Everything was great as always!
So many wonderful choices! Everything we ordered was delicious and we can’t wait to go back.
The noise level was very high on Wednesday evening. There are many hard surfaces and the noise waves just bounces off them in there.
The service was OK. We felt rushed. About 10 min after we received our entrees, we were asked if we wanted boxes. Then after we were done with the entrees, we were asked if we were ready for the check. We informed her that we wanted coffee and dessert.
The appetizers were very good……ricotta and honey board and the arancini balls. We both had the Chicken San Remo. It was disappointing….the vodka sauce was flavorless and watered down. There was only one shrimp on my entree and very little crab meat.
In addition, it took 30 minutes for us to receive our cocktails.
Great addition to the neighborhood. Great happy hour. Food is good, drinks are great too
Everything was quite good except the broccoli Rabe , sausage and cheese calzone——-instead of broccoli rabe, it looked like someone had substituted broccoli and spinach——-tough to fool a family with S. Philly folks in attendance.
We had a delicious lunch outside on their patio. The pizza and salad were excellent.
Pleasant outdoor setting, mediocre food, decent but not outstanding service
We enjoyed our dinner. Our waitress was wonderful despite it being a very busy night and I think she had her hands full! The food was excellent, and the house wine was good!
Excellent food. Huge portions. Lots of choices on the menu. Our server Jay was the VERY VERY best.
We shared a few appetizers with the table - fried calamari, fries with crab, meatballs and caprese they were all great. I had veal Milanese which was delish and my husband had Alicia’s sunday dinner. The meatballs were really good but the ricotta overwhelmed the dish and made it cold.
Food is brought to the table as soon as its ready so not everyone gets served at the same time. This is fine when sharing dishes with the table. Would recommend ordering apps and holding off on ordering entrees until done to manage the meal.
Looking forward to trying their pizza. We will definitely go again.
Great service and great food
Just outstanding. Great Italian food with good service. A neighborhood gem
Good food . Outstanding service. Reasonable prices. CARLOS is the BEST waiter. Thank you CARLOS!!
Very good food! Energetic atmosphere. The pizza is yummy
nice restaurant and good location. very popular with the locals as it was packed. food was good and reasonably priced as compared to similar venues. good combination of starters and full meals + had pizza offerings
Just not a very pleasant dining experience all around. The place has terrible acoustics, basically a wide open, stark white echo-chamber. From the moment we walked in, I knew that we were in for an unpleasantly loud dinner. The hostess was delightful, helped us to find the "quietest" (or at least the least decibels) table. But the server was pretty glum and ornery. The announcement that this was an "as ready" kitchen turned out to be true; half of us got our dinner first, the others a while later. I saw no benefit to this policy, except to make it easier for the kitchen not to have to worry about coordinating meal prep. We were told that the portions were large and suitable for sharing....not so. The presentation and preparation were "OK," but I didn't see or taste anything memorable.
My first visit, and I was impressed. Broad menu, reasonably priced. Great cocktail, also reasonably priced. Not at all rushed. Food came quickly, but the place was half-empty, at 6pm on a Wednesday. I look forward to going back.
Everything and everyone was awesome
Dinner was excellent. Great choice of items. And I recommend the veal Melanae’s. Great neighborhood gym.
The eggplant parmigiana had three thin slices of eggplant wrapped around ricotta cheese, topped with canned tomato sauce and a half-inch layer of more cheese. Vegetable completely drowned out, and without any basil or any other herbs--very disappointing. The veal marsala was well cooked over pasta swimming in a butter-heavy sauce--again, a misstep, especially since any refinement was missing. The saving grace was the red beet and goat cheese salad, accompanied by a limoncello and basil martini. Would not recommend this place for anything other than salad or pizza.
Very good food, good service. A little noisy if you are looking for a quiet meal. Would definitely recommend.
I visited LaScala Fire in Villanova yesterday and had a great experience. The food was amazing and the waiter went above and beyond in making our experience one to remember. I will definitely go back and refer my friends.
Salmon entree and the Spicy Tuna Salad Entree were fabulous ..Elena was a polite and attentive server
My friend and I split a pizza and the chopped salad! The food was nicely prepared and quite tasty. Our server, Colin, was great. He was handling most of the tables in addition to being the greeter and every interaction was with a smile!
The wait for the food was long. We waited 45min for our appetizers when it wasn’t even busy. That said, the food was delicious.
