my appetizer was cold and the tomatoes in my caprese salad were unripe and hard- zero flavor and were pink at best. the woman at the host stand was not good with traffic flow in terms of taking people who were there first and it caused some annoyed comments directed towards us. Overall the food was meh and I doubt I'll return

Took my team here for a dinner and it was not great. Service was slow and our waitress acted like she didn’t want to be there. My napkin was dirty when I went to unfold it; I had to flag down our waitress for a new one (which also took quite a long time). My chicken Milanese was overdone to the point some of the breading was difficult to cut through and the meat was tough. The check then also took a very long time to arrive at the end of our meal. Overall a poor experience and almost embarassing for me as I had planned and coordinated the whole thing. I have been here before and had good experiences, but this visit has completely disinterested me in ever going back.

Very disappointed. The service was non existent. The food was salty, too much sauce, totally the opposite of good Italian good. Even my Caesar salad had too much seasoning and some croutons tasted stale. Do not recommend at all - save your money. Go elsewhere!

Average quality for food. Enjoyed the one in Villanova much more. Felt rushed throughout the meal.

The food was fair. Service was very good. Tables are packed in there and noise level too high. Not relaxing.

Every time I go here the food and atmosphere are excellent. It does get crowded, it is a little loud but staff is so polite, helpful and always cheerful. Great experience!

While the service was great, the food was ok. I loved the beet salad, but the crab pasta was ok and the salmon was way overdone.

I was really disappointed with my experience at La Scala’s Fire in Newtown Square. I ordered the crab and shrimp linguine in white sauce, but it tasted more like lemon soup—watery and completely flavorless. The panini was greasy, bland, and fell apart before I could eat it. The birria pizza lacked seasoning and had no depth of flavor. The drinks were equally bad. My mojito tasted like flat Sprite with mint—nowhere near a real mojito—and the specialty Burton drink was just liquor over ice with no balance. Even the wine was just average. Our server was polite but not attentive. We had to be overly specific just to get basic things done, which made the whole dining experience frustrating. Honestly, I don’t understand the good reviews—everything from food to service was subpar. I won’t be returning.
