We enjoyed our meal and the service was excellent. Unfortunately we weren’t seated where we had requested on opentable, but that was ok bc they were for 8 people and we only had 4. The restaurant was very nice and we will definitely go again.

We had a lovely time celebrating a Mother’s only lunch out on Mother’s Day. Our server was attentive but also polite in the sense that we were not in a rush a land wanted to pace our meal. The food was delish as always. I cannot stress this enough—try the ricotta board!

For starters, the food is excellent. My table tried three of the chicken dishes and they were all delicious. The overall decor is bright, clean, and simple. The service was excellent and we will be back again.

I almost walked out. If the description says full service bar and it is BYOB there is a problem. In all fairness there is an incomplete bar, so my guess is a liquor license is in progress. Nonetheless we stayed. Not a fan of a kitchen that delivers as you order, in a sense you have to know how long food takes to cook and gauge how busy the kitchen is. Fortunately I'm a chef so our meal was well paced. Mussels and Italian bread....mussels cooked properly, average broth, but only one slice of what I would call a crustini for two people....where's the bread? Calimari was crisp, proper temp, well seasoned, and not chewy. Marinara underwhelming. I prefer without sauce so it did not detract from the dish. The white shrimp pizza was perfectly cooked, seaoned beautifully and packed full of flavor. Will be back again as the food was of exceptional value and there are other items I want to try.

Service was nice and the staff was helpful. The inside of the restaurant was very pretty and had a nice aesthetic. The food was amazing and worth the price cause they give you so much.

Went here for dinner a few weeks back & had a nice experience. Although the waiter was a little green, he did try his best. The food was good, although I was serve the wrong sauce it was serendipitous as it tasted good with my entree. So on this part of the experience I would rate this as good. On the way out we saw they this location had takeout and grabbed a menu. I ordered one of their ‘bada$$$’ pizza, which was supposed to be 22” special, for an impromptu get together. What we received looked like an ordinary xtra large pizza. It was a very ordinary pie and nothing to write home about. Unfortunately we had rave about this pizza and felt very let down. We even had to order more pizzas from another pizzeria, because there weren’t enough slices in the ‘bada$$’ for everyone. This is why we gave this location a fair rating.

The food was absolutely delicious! It is served family style so either go hungry or be sure to have people to share with. The restaurant is clean and the wait staff was responsive and prompt. Great place for date night.

The food was good. I had the mussels appetizer and there were plenty, but had to ask for the bread that was included on the menu, the first bread they brought was only 2 crustini's which are small oblong slices of crusty bread like off a roll, not enough to be worthy of the mussels and tasty red sauce, so I asked for more and got 3 more crustini's, ok that was enough, barely....I like my bread. My wife's Panini was good and so was the pizza. We understand the new servers in a new restaurant curve.... Overall was enjoyable, nice Italian menu

Have been to 2 other lascalas with a much better experience. The food was just OK. My pizza came out after everyone was done their food-AND it was ice cold so I can only assume it was most likely forgotten. I wouldn't say No to going back their again if someone wanted to try it but I personally would stick with the other locations

I am being lenient in my review because this location just opened and clearly the servers are Rowan students. I went on their opening weekend and I didn't expect perfection. However, I made a reservation, walked in, and was told it would be 5 minutes, since tables had to be cleaned. Sure, no problem. As we stood there, we witnessed another hostess seating people who were just walking in. After nearly ten minutes and the 5th family being seated, we said something. We were told the one hostess "didn't know" we had a reservation because the other server didn't tell her. Clearly something that they will work out with experience over time.

Our server, however, needed finesse. It was perhaps her first serving job, and for that we totally gave her a break. She was clearly overwhelmed, as she completely forgot our drinks, didn't refill waters without being asked, didn't remove plates, etc. The food came out extremely fast, almost too fast, but it was delicious. No complaints there, and we WILL be back. I love supporting my town and am so happy LaScala's Fire is so close to my home. Hopefully in a few weeks the minor kinks will get situated and it will be even better and I will be able to come back and change my review to 5 stars.
