Fun night with family on the patio. Food was good, especially table side guacamole, and the margaritas were strong and delicious. A great spot for a fun, casual meal.
Overall the meal was good; I've had better but I've also had worse! We were amazed at the speed of delivery of our meal; however, when we reordered chips it took quite a bit of time...we almost completed our meal before they arrived.
It was busy so we understood some of the challenges but the comparison between the actual meal and just getting some chips was huge!
Great restaurant. Server was distracted forgot our queso but otherwise highly recommend.
Traveling on business from the east coast and wanted to have authentic Mexican food. This was the place to go. Being able to dine outside and have a live guitar player added to the whole experience.
When we are greater Palm Springs area we attend this restaurant location Hwy 111 Rancho Mirage 2/mo on average. Always accommodating our growing family needs as well as good food, great fun and cadillac margeritas. Love.
We struggled with service. We ordered one glass of Pinot Grigio but were charged for a more expensive Sauvignon Blanc. We ordered tableside guacamole and received creamy guacamole and charged for tableside. When questioned, the bill was changed to say creamy but the amount did not change and the amount was more than the menu listed. It was unfortunate because creamy says it includes sour cream and one in our party can’t consume dairy. It was late in the evening and we were just done with trying to get the correct info so we paid and left feeling frustrated. The patio is very pretty but our service issues spoiled the view.
We were out on the patio. Really nice ambiance for an early evening meal. The waiter was attentive without being intrusive. Food was very good.
What we love about Las Cas Nuevas is its patio ambiance and knowing we always have consistently good food. Although I did feel like my original margarita wasn't quite right, it wasn't enough for me to send it back. After many many years of visiting all the Las Casuelas restaurants, this one remains my fave.
We ate outside in the patio. The large trees and the fountains provide a great ambiance. Our server was attentive.
We loved the outside setting
Food was great. Service was VERY poor. Don't plan on celebrating a special event at this place.
Beautiful delicious food in a fun setting, very busy
Nice nite. Got to eat outside on great patio. Big crowd for sunday nite at 8 !
A landmark for years in Rancho Mirage, Las Casuelas Nuevas always comes through. Great atmosphere, particularly when seated in tree lined patio, delicious Mexican food and a vibrant energy. Large menu with plenty to choose from and all the selections taste fresh and authentic. Phenomenal margaritas as well! When visiting the desert, I highly recommend a dinner at Las Casuelas Nuevas, or their original restaurant in downtown Palm Springs.
We had an off night here. It is rare, and never happens twice in a row. Service was the problem. First no server, then after a drink order was taken the real server showed up. Drinks were incomplete. Never asked if we wanted more cocktails through the whole meal. Never a refill on ice teas. The servers seemed to want to rush us once the food arrived. Countless people asked if we were finished when we clearly were not. I finally had to ask if they wanted our table or were short on plates. After that we were just ignored until the bill came and again the rush started. Then the bill was wrong and had to be corrected. Usually this is a flawless evening. Yesterday was not.
Great Sunday Brunch. Excellent service. Fun outside seating with music. Will be back.
We took a friend visiting from out of state, and here for my husband's birthday, to the Sunday brunch and had a wonderful time. Sat out on the patio and listened to the mariachi band - it was awesome! The food and service from our waiter Sal was excellent. We have been going to Las Casuelas Nuevas for years and would recommend this restaurant to anyone. Go and enjoy!
The food was horrible. Service was slow and unfriendly. My husband got sick after eating his dinner and I could barely eat any of mine. The worst meal we have ever had.
We had never been to this Las Casuelas location and it far exceeded our expectations. They have a large patio area for outdoor dining that has lots of lush greenery and lights and feels like a beautiful garden. We’ll definitely sit outside next time. Our server, Juan G., was fabulous and our food was delicious and arrived quickly. Overall, we had a great date night. Thanks Las Casuelas!
Our server was warm, friendly and knowledgeable. Food was great and arrived quickly. We didn't need or want for anything.
It was great! Everybody had fun
Great Margaritas and a good spot for a group of friends
Very good food, however, they did not read that o had put our daughters birthday on the reservation when I made it so they messed that up but didn’t seem to care. Would have given them all 5 stars if it weren’t for that.
We had heard lots of great things about this restaurant. So were excited to bring our out of town guests here. The service was attentive and friendly in the beginning. But it seemed after our food was served our server wasn’t around. I had a chicken combo dish and my chicken tamale had two large bones in it which I almost choked on. I couldn’t find the waitress to tell her so I had to let the busboy know. After that nothing. No one came around and checked. So needless to say it ruined our dinner. The restaurant was busy but not overly busy that someone could have come by the table. So we payed the bill and left. We won’t be returning.
Great festive patio, excellent dishes and magaritas... and fresh table side guacamole.
One of favorites!
Love the ambiance and dinner was great We will back our next visit to the desert
Veryl disappointing this visit. The food was cold, probably sat for a long time before being brought to the table
We go there more for the food than the atmosphere. Always go early before they start the music as trumpet sound is extremely loud. Used to have an excellent margarita called the "Nuevas"but took it off the menu some years back. The regular ones are okay but getting pricy too. Food is very good, service is okay. Hate the booths, kind of claustrophobic.
We were seated way in the back for some reason??? They had plenty of tables in the main section. When the musicinas come in, however, it is quite nosiy.
The Carnitas a la Chipotle are excellent. We order this every time we visit. We have done this for maybe 10 years!
Reserved patio for 8 people. Tried to sit us at a table for 6 which we obviously couldn’t fit at. Ended up eventually seating us inside. Waited 20 mins for a waiter to serve us.
We were here for Sunday brunch. Wide variety of selections, ample quantities, well prepared. Loved that menudo and ahi cerviche were available.
It's one of our favorite restaurant to bring visiting friends. The food, service and ambiance is always good.
We have been going to Las Casuelas Nuevas for over 30years and even used it for our son's rehearsal dinner that many years ago, and have never been disappointed. Our family and friends who come to visit, also put it on their list of must do when they come to visit. Now that my husband is wheelchair bound, have found it easy to bring him there for lunch or dinner ....especially love when they have mariachi music!
Great Sunday Champagne Brunch Buffet
Dads birthday. Trumpet player off the charts!!
Server lost interest when we did not order drinks. Food was under seasoned. Not what you expect from Mexican food.
It's a regular stop when we visit annually. Great service and food.
We always enjoy food and ambiance here we go often 😊
