Opened in December of 2008, L'Artusi is the second step from the team that brought dell'anima to the West Village.



Executive Chef Joe Vigorito, Pastry Chef Jessica Craig, and Beverage Director Annecherie Saludo share their expertise in Italian Epicurean Hospitality on a larger stage. Featuring refined rustic cuisine, a crudo bar, specialty cheese program, private dining room, and a walk-in wine cellar, L’Artusi offers guests a variety of dining options in a warm, friendly vibe.



Our 110 seat restaurant, designed by Brooke Maples, features two floors of comfortable banquette seating, extended traditional bar, cheese bar and a chef's counter over-looking the open kitchen. Private dining opportunities are also available in our 2500 bottle walk-in wine cellar.

L'Artusi can accommodate private dining events for groups of up to 120 people, making us the perfect location for business dinners, social gatherings, rehearsal dinners and many other events. Our private Wine Cellar can accommodate up to 16 people for a seated dinner and the upstairs mezzanine can hold up to 50 people for cocktails and dinner. Our waiter, Martin, made a flawless wine suggestion for our meal. Everything was delicious for not outrageous prices. We had a wonderful meal, everyone was delightful, and we had a great date night! We will definitely be back! (We made the reservation in the first place because the head chef is a Buckeye!)

I went for my birthday dinner with my boyfriend and we both agreed that the small dishes were just enough food between us. We ordered about 5 dishes and the dishes are split into groups like Crudo, Vegetables, Meat, and Fish. The food tasted delicious and we finished everything. The wine and drink list was enormous like a story book. The service was pleasant and top knotch.

We had a memorable meal with very good food. The bucatini and sauce were sublime. Our Waiter, Dennis was excellent. He provided great service and was very helpful with recommendations (when asked) and very friendly. Thank you for a wonderful experience.

Hands down, our favorite restaurant in NYC. We have dined there 3 times in the past 2 years (everytime we've been in NYC since discovering it) and have had exceptional meals and service everytime. Sitting at the bar overlooking the kitchen is very entertaining, to watch the chefs at work. The food at L'Artusi is fantastic and the service is equally memorable, no attitude, very friendly, warm and welcoming. It is also an excellent value for the quality of the food and the experience. If you only eat at one nice restaurant in NYC, this is it!

This was my first time to dine at L'Artusi. I could only get a 5:30 p.m. reservation via Open Table, but my train was late (NJ Transit naturally...) and so I got to the restaurant at 5:55. But there were plenty of open tables. Hmmm... In any case, the food was wonderful: I started with the raw scallops and thimbleful of clam chowder. A bit too much lime juice on the scallops, but still tasty. Next were two pasta dishes, the bucatini with spicy meat sauce and mushroom stuffed ravioli. Both were excellent, the ravioli being creamy, fragrant and smooth. My salad was the "butter lettuce" salad--enough for two! It was like a stack of pancakes made with many leaves of buttercrunch lettuce, but with gorgonzola, walnuts, something else crunchy (pomegranate seeds?) and chunks of black olive hidden in the middle. It too was delicious, but too much for one person to finish.

This meal was perfect. Service was spot on, great wine list. We shared 3 pastas, Tagliatelle, Orecchiette and the Cavatelli . All were soo good!!! Ended with Budino -yum.... Must go back again.

Fantastic service and food, as has become commonplace for LArtusi. Ordered the ricotta special , 2 starters, a vegetable, and 2 pastas, which seemed like a good amount of food for a date. Received great help as well with the wine, though the wine was a bit cold (admittedly opening up more once left in the decanter). Spectacular experience overall.

was really excited to try l'artusi since i have heard great things - while the food was awesome, the noise level was earth-shaking (on a tuesday!). i could barely hear myself think, let alone hear the person across from me speak. was pretty disappointed as this was a special occasion. the atmosphere ruined what would have otherwise been a great experience.

I’ll keep it short and sweet. OUTSTANDING!!! Cheese, to Apps to Chefs Specials were just amazing. Pasta was immaculate. Wine selection is immense!! They have good beers and great cocktails. Dessert was mouth watering. Danielle was a joy as she gave us a great table, treated us like regulars and acknowledged our special night which was our 5th Anniversary. I would let them cook every meal for me if I could.
