L’artusi is by far and away one of the best restaurants in New York City. The service, food and ambiance are top notch. I’ve been here 3 times and have not been disappointed once.
Third time here- will definitely return. Uniformly very good but food saltier across the board.
Amazing as always! Our latest obsession is the Strawberry Shortcake Sundae.
The best roasted mushroom and olive oil cake I have ever had! Really great location and everything is delicious
Brunch was absolutely delicious. Pancetta pasta and ricotta-filled buttery crepes were melt-in-the-mouth. Peach pastry served with berry jam was tender and flaky. Tables are close together but the food makes up for it. Highly recommend.
I came here with a friend. We had reservations at 6, and the restaurant was already packed.
We were seated promptly, and a waitress came to explain the specials to us.
We opted to share a gouda cheese plate. It was pretty good, but the cheese wasn't the easiest to cut with a butter knife.
The servers were attentive and very friendly.
I got the octopus, and I thought it was great. The octopus has a nice citrus taste. The dish came with crispy potatoes and these firm olives. Everything was well seasoned and prepared.
For dessert, they brought us a complimentary slice of olive oil cake as it was my friend's birthday. It was very nice, and came with a sweet creme fraiche.
I would definitely come again.
Awesone! I loved it.
Booked this for our anniversary on the great rec I received from a friend. Sorry to say it fell very short of expectations. We were seated upstairs on top of 2 tables; a space to hold 4 tables comfortably, held 8. The noise level was deafening, we could not have a conversation without yelling over everyone else.
As far as the food went, my salad consisted of an entire head of bibb lettuce with some grated cheese and nuts thrown on. My branzino was unseasoned and very bland. I asked server for salt and olive oil but it didn't do much to enhance the taste. On leaving both tables on either side of us had to get up so we could get out. They pack you in like sardines. Sorry but our first experience was underwhelming and I won't be returning. Really don't understand all the hype.
Really loved LArtusi having visited now twice. The food is amazing and the ambiance and service is formal but friendly. Will be coming back a lot more if possible!
Another fun delicious night at L'Artusi. Seems that a lot of tables were celebrating something which added to the festive atmosphere tonight. Had the pasta dish with morels, was excellent, as was the new version of the beet salad. Highly recommend.
Service was absolutely outstanding. We had a tough group and the servers handled it extremely well. Bravo!
Problem with guest etiquette:
We got there at 5:25 for a 5:30 reservation, and the hostess wouldn’t seat us until exactly 5:30 with all tables (at that time) open.
When a restaurant has a cuisine as great as L’Artusi the servers and hosts/hostesses should probably be humble not demeaning despite the huge demand. Just a suggestion for management.
Incredible food and outstanding service.
Great and unique dishes!
Great dinner as always
Excellent food and service. Our party thoroughly enjoyed the meal.
Delicious food. Great waitstaff.
Loved the staff and the food was fantastic. Will definitely be returning for more dining and special occasions.
Everything is delicious. Reservations are hard to make, but it's worth the effort.
Everything was superb except the waiter was not nice.
We live in the neighborhood and I’ve been to L’Artusi many times before in the evening - but never for weekend brunch. I think I’ll stick to evening visits going forward. The brunch menu only had a few items that weren’t breakfast dishes, which I wasn’t really prepared for when I came in for a 2:30pm brunch res. We also didn’t get off to a good start when the hostess scolded my husband and I for making a 2-person reservation when we were bringing our 3-week old newborn in with us. Apparently I was supposed to make a 3-person reservation... I didn’t know, as I’m new to this parenting game. My husband was served burnt coffee, and also thought the meat and roasted potatoes in his L’Artusi Breakfast entree were over-cooked (end of the breakfast shift and not so good). I on the other hand really enjoyed the chicory salad. Lessons learned.
Everything was amazing. Took me forever to get a reservation at a reasonable hour, but now I see why! Can’t wait to go back.
Prices were reasonable. Service was outstanding. Lighting was romantic! A little hard to hear from across the table but it is a lot of people in a small space.
Fine but completely overrated.... butter lettuce starter was v disappointing & was basically lettuce soaked in dressing . Lamb ragu mains also disappointing in presentation & delivery.
Service was only ok & although we had a late sitting ... felt rushed & presented with check before we even asked for it.
This is a very popular restaurant. The food is well balanced, flavorful and fresh. I’ve had pasta, seafood, and meat, and all have been delicious. Service is so warm and friendly. My only real issue is the tables are packed very close, and the noise level is extreme. I had to wait for a couple tables near us to empty before we could carry on a conversation. A high point are the cocktails. Delicious!
What a night! Want to impress your partner? Bring them here to try many amazing dishes. Roasted mushroom and black bass are must have!
We have only ever had amazing experiences at L’Artusi. So much so that we had our wedding reception there. If you want a great ambiance, amazing food, and attentive service, look no further. The restaurant is also in a great neighborhood for walking around and exploring.
Consistently outstanding and best value in town for creative Italian food. And even for the less typical Italian dishes, like the roasted smashed potatoes - amazing. Seated timely, service friendly and excellent. Meal is well paced, without being too fast.
Food and service was fantastic . Great wine list .We sat upstairs and had a great waiter . The pastas are amazing . Get the ricotta for the appetizer !
Fabulous. Staff was so accommodating. Food was perfect.
Absolutely amazing food and overall dining experience. Not one single hiccup. We came for lunch and sat at the bar. Ordered the menu special pork burger and it was heavenly. I hope they add it to their regular menu!
Best dinner I've had in NYC in a long while, I absolutely loved it!
Very good food and wine. Didn’t necessarily live up to the massive hype, but food and beverage were excellent.
Pork chops. Garlic pasta. Olive oil cake
Definitely overhyped place for no reasons!
One of the pasta we ordered was extremely salty.
I complained about it and the waiter just says it may be the inside of the tortellini itself that’s salty. So what??
Anyway, they took it back to the kitchen and some one that looks like a kitchen manager came back to us saying “the chef tasted it and it’s terrible, we’ll make a new one”. The newly cooked pasta, not any less salty, not edible again!
The waiter says this time “maybe it’s the Morel that has been preserved salty”. Hello?! I don’t need my waiter to just keep giving me excuses for their terribly salty food. The waiter or the manager never said they are sorry about the food that even the chef said “terrible”.
The salad was good but the rest of the food also very mediocre that’s no reason for a month in advance reservation kind of a hassle!
The mushroom ragu was out of this world
Our service Will was fantastic ! And the food was incredible as always!
We went for a birthday with 6 people and were seated in the back wine room. It was an overall amazing dining experience!
Getting a reservation here takes some effort but is 100% worth it! The food is incredible. We had the wagyu beef appetizer, two pasta dishes (mushroom and bolognese) and the squid. All were delicious and would highly recommend. I can’t wait to go back and try the other dishes.
