Steakhouse
Larsen’s requires a highly skilled butcher to be at the location at all times to monitor airflow, temperature, and humidity. During dry aging, the prime meats’ natural enzymes act as soothing tenderizers. At the same time, moisture evaporation improves the supple texture and hearty taste of the meat, making it richer and more buttery. Dry aging continues until a thin coating develops on the meat surface. This coating seals in flavor and juice, and is later trimmed off. Larsen’s then wet ages its beef for another arduous fourteen days, preserving its flavor of highly marbled, prime grade meat, from exceptional cattle breed. This process is a respected, time-honored technique of preparing high quality beef. It ensures that our guests enjoy the best steak they’ve ever had.
Furthermore, our diligent method of preparation includes slowly searing the meat in its own natural juices at 500 degrees, rather than blast cooking it at 1700 degrees like most steakeries.

The food and service are always perfect. Plan to spend some time here. Its not a place where you eat quickly and leave.

Our first time at Larsen's and it did not disappoint! The prime steaks we had were great as were our garlic mashed potatoes and brussels sprouts. Only advice is don't load up on the fantastic warm bread as you may not have room for dessert. Our thanks to Kenny and Tyler - great service!

I believe San Diego has finer Steakhouses. The food was good. The server wasn't very experienced, buy their own admittance they were not familiar with some of the menu, I have served and always believed it was my duty to know each menu item, if not tasting but a least seen the presentation. The busboy was terrific he knew about some of the food as well as the wifi password. The food did take a little extra time especially at lunch on a not very busy day, but hopefully good company keep that ok. Thank you for the experience.

Steaks and truffle butter were amazing! Caymus wine was delicious and paired wonderfully with our meal. Great service and can’t wait for to go back for future anniversary celebrations. Very much appreciated rose petal decor and complimentary Prosecco pour.

The mushroom soup and lobster bisque were excellent. The steaks (filets in this case) were good, but not excellent. Wonderful service.

The seafood tower quality was poor. Shrimp & lobster was completely dried out.

Steaks were nothing special & borderline flavorless.

We were expecting a great dining experience, but got the opposite.

Staff was wonderful & attentive.

The decor and the design of the restaurant is very crisp and elegant. However, the food is simply not up to par. We started off with the pork belly and the presentation was decent, but the meat was unevenly tender. About two-thirds of the belly was juicy and soft, but the remainder felt a bit drier and rougher to taste.

For the main dish, we had the Sea Bass, and a 32 oz. Porterhouse. The porterhouse was delicious and cooked to order (medium rare). The sea bass was relatively dry. For both dishes, the presentation was very lacking. The plate with the sea bass only had the filet on it along with a lemon. For the price, I'm paying for these dishes, I would expect a little more effort in terms of presentation.

Aside from the food, the service was not up to par either. The wait staff were not intrusive at all which is a fantastic thing, but they weren't very responsive when we needed them.

My friends and I all thought this was the BEST steak we had ever eaten. We had the Wagyu beef (not listed on the menu...they told us about it). Great presentation too. We like the playlist...not too loud and easy to talk and hear ourselves. The service was excellent...We also liked the mint creme brûlée's!! Highly recommend it!!

I absolutely LOVE Larsen’s. The food and service never disappoint! In other words, my steak was not the only item that was well done. We typically come here for happy hour, but in this case, we had dinner here to celebrate a job promotion. It was definitely an outstanding experience. Everyone was incredibly kind, welcoming, and professional (special thanks to our server Roy and management). In terms of food, I recommend the wet-aged steak, creamed style corn, and garlic mashed potatoes. They were exquisite. Thank you Larsen’s for making our celebration special! We will definitely be back soon!

Our server was wonderful - explained everything in detail. We should have listened to him and ordered only two sides. Instead we ordered 4 - everything was a la carte and extremely expensive. The steak was excellent - tasty and tender. The Caesar salad was not so great. Nice of them to give our 73 year old friend a free dessert.

Good for a special occasion because while the food was delicious and the service excellent at Larsen's Steakhouse, it is premium priced. The service starting with the staff and manager who greeted us at the host station were very gracious and personable taking extra time to make certain that we felt welcomed and knew about all the quality choices on their menu.

Our server, Richard, was superb. He gave helpful suggestions and delightful conversation. The food was delicious. I would absolutely go back again.

The prime ribeye had the perfect amount of char. The baked garlic was a delicious bonus. Seriously tasty food in the odd location of a mall. Definitely try it, you won’t regret it.

This was my first time eating dinner here and I was anxious try it. Overall, I really enjoyed it, in fact I'd say it exceeded my expectations. The food was really exceptional. The meal started with delicious warm bread and three accompanying spreads. I tried the Wedge Salad and thought it to be amazing. It's a pretty big portion, so splitting it may make sense. The quality and the flavor of the bacon they use is fabulous and really sets this salad apart. I had a Dry Aged Filet with Truffle Butter on top. OMG - sooooo delicious. Not a speck of fat on the filet and oh so tender. We ordered a side of the brussels sprouts and were not disappointed - I think they were prepared with candied pecans, bacon, parmesan and balsamic glaze. Again, just fabulous. I was so full, but... we just had to order the Bananas Foster Butter Cake. This is a favorite I've had at other restaurants, so wanted to experience Larsen's preparation of it. It did not disappoint! It a about six to eight inches in diameter, so large enough to share. It comes with a generous scoop of vanilla ice cream on top and bananas foster sauce over the top. The sauce was more caramelly than bananas fostery, in my opinion, but very delicious. It only had a scant few bananas, so if your not a huge banana fan you'll find it very tasty. I'll definitely be back. Great quality for prepared well.

Service was sub par I ordered a Filet mignon. It came out seared on top and bottom which was good but grey the side yes really grey 😐 they used vegetable oil instead of olive oil as if you could not tell the difference We were really looking forward to this dinner all day and we were completely disappointed. On top of it all they charge a $40 corkage fee $40??!!!!! I have no problem paying a corkage fee but that was flat out ridiculous!

Everything we ordered was just OK, nothing was great or even above average. For the price, the steak should have been excellent. The filet was properly prepared as far as cooking time but it was heavily over-seasoned and salty. The service was above average although management could make it more efficient with teamwork.

Food was terrible. Steak was raw when it was brought to me sent it back to be cooked more and came back dry and tough. Wedge salad was loaded with sugar in both the pecans and bacon. Restaurant was basically empty. Service was trying hard but not effortless. I cannot imagine that this place is going to make it.

Pretty place. Service was good. Food was tasteless.
Definitely not worth the money. We are not big eaters so if we are still hungry after our meal then we know there wasn’t enough on our plates. So many better steakhouses in the area that have more value along with better quality of food.
We were not impressed!

Several issues with this visit. The hostess could not be heard and kept talking towards the floor. We had a reservation for 7.15 and we were seated 30 minute late. The restaurant ran out of their signature bread, this was after we were told it would take 10 minutes. Food was adequate, not great. No value for the price. We went to order desert and found they did not have vanilla ice cream to go with the banana fosters butter cake

Incredibly disappointing night. I won’t be going back

Came here for lunch to celebrate my dad’s birthday. The bread was to die for. Most of the group ordered the lunch pre fix with two of us ordering the prime filet and the other two ordering the salmon. Food was pretty solid. Lobster bisque also another group favorite. Would return again and possibly try dinner as I’ve heard they have a more extensive dinner menu.

Our server was congenial and friendly. The food was mediocre. My daughter’s steak was large but flavorless, and my chicken was quite dry. We chose Larson’s because it was in the mall and we were shopping, but we will not return. Simply not worth the money. So many other great restaurants in the area.

Disappointing experience. Service was below average. Our dirty plates were not cleared for ates st 30 minutes after everyone had finished their meal. Our food was cold. Steaks were tepid other than the one we had to send back because it was undercooked/rare. Certainly not worth the price and will not be returning or recommending this restaurant.
