Larks celebrates Oregon: its farms, orchards, creameries and wineries offering dishes that excite and surprise with freshness and flavors.
Excellent food. Quick, polite, service. Very nice atmosphere.
Excellent food. Great service. Will go back again.
As always, all levels of service and food were excellent.
Service was ok, a little solicitous. The booths are uncomfortable, the headrests are too big and the table is too close to the seat so we moved to a table.
My dining partner is allergic to anything with grapes and her salad had raisins in it and the onion soup seemed to have sherry. The fried chicken is good but pricey for what it is. The lemon lavender creme brulee was good though.
The room itself is sort of depressing. Not a destination dining room.
Hello Bella, We are so sorry to hear that your experience wasn't what you may have been looking for. We are always trying to improve and elevate our offerings, and your feedback is very much appreciated. I apologize for the mis concerning the allergies, that is incredibly important! Our team always strives to accommodate every guests needs, and clearly we have some opportunities. Thank for visiting Larks, and I hope we can have an opportunity to share with you again in the future.
Our usual complaint at American restaurants is that they are in a hurry to turn your table. The courses arrive one right after the other. Salads arrive with your cocktails; the last piece of the salad is gone just as the main course arrives, etc., etc. The opposite happened during our visit to Larks. The food was wonderful and the ambiance quiet but, for some reason, service was glacially slow. Our server was courteous but lots of time passed between courses. It took almost 2 hours to get through a cocktail, a salad, and a main course. We skipped dessert because we feared having to wait another half hour. The restaurant wasn't busy (only half full when we were there) so we still don't know what was going on here.
Hello Bruce, I apologize if our service was not what you were expecting. Our team at Larks, is always trying to give the absolute best in service, warm hospitality and delicious torrior driven dishes. We appreciate your feedback and will continue to encourage our team to be as mindful and sensitive to our guests needs.
Service at Larks was top notch, the food was exquisite. The atmosphere of the restaurant was so relaxing, we will definitely come back.
We've been to Larks and usually love it. Both of our entrees were not very good. The drink I had was very good. We will go back again but just surprised at the lack of quality at this visit.
Good food.. band playing a little noisy.
Reservation were easy to make on Open Table. This was for our anniversary. We were quickly greeted upon arrival and escorted to our table. Staff were already advised it was a our anniversary and congratulations were offered. Florist flowers were sent ahead of our arrival, and were displayed on our table. Staff were all helpful and pleasant. Food was outstanding. Definitely a good place for a special occasion. They will take care of you and make it special.
We had a wonderful dinner. The interior is beautiful, chic retro 60’s with lovely white booths (recommend) and elegant high end tables and chairs. Our waiter was perfect. Attentive, professional, knowledgeable and made our requests happen seamlessly. The food was excellent. Very high quality and delicious. Think San Francisco, New York quality. Octopus and ribeye were amazing. I am so happy Medford has a place like this, finally. I come to visit my mother and now have a restaurant to look forward to. Great job! Really impressed.
Seated in one the semicircular booths, we had privacy but easy reach for servers. Several of us had the fried chicken, which came with a strong recommendation and found it outstanding. Service was friendly, and one Latino man extended especially gracious instinctive hospitality.
I ordered the Caesar with shrimp and the dressing was really bland. Shrimp was over cooked. Would not order it again. My first time here.
Not sure I’ll be back.
Server was very helpful and knowledgeable about the menu.
Salad was good. My friend had the fish tacos and enjoyed them very much!
One of the best ribeye steaks I’ve had in a long time. Very expensive.
Took our son and his 2 housemates out for a special birthday dinner. Very comfortable setting, very attentive and friendly service. Food was quite good. Charred octopus, pork shoulder, fried chicken, pasta, salads, cocktails. Everyone enjoyed their meal. Highly recommended for a special meal when in Medford.
Super friendly and accommodating staff. Halibut and meatloaf entrees excellent. Octopus appetizer was somewhat tough and rubbery, not like the first time we had it when it was tender and fabulous.
While our server genuinely tried his best, the food was very slow coming out of the kitchen, and one person in our party didn't get her order at all, until the rest of us were nearly done. It seemed expensive for not getting any sort of salad or even bread with the entree unless ordered separately for even more money.
Hello Firsttimer, Our team at Larks Medford, is always trying our best to be in service to our guests. We are committed to utilizing the finest local ingredients, serving them in a professional, warm, friendly and respectful environment. We greatly appreciate your feedback, as our team is always looking to best serve our guests.
The food was good, but the portions smaller. The fried chicken had changed to kale instead of the green beans which drew me to the menu. It wasn't as good and there were fewer mashed potatoes. The chicken was still good as ever. We weren't offered the complimentary biscuit like before. The service was outstanding with a waitress willing to please us in every way. I may not go back as the item that drew me has changed dramatically.
Wonderful servicer. Nice atmosphere. Food was descent, but portion sizes (especially for price) seemed small. In fact, after a beet salad appetizer and Halibut on black rice entree, I was still hungry. We have also been here for brunch and had a wonderful meal, but weren't as impressed for dinner.
I would recommend Larks to a friend with some reservation. Had dinner there on Valentines day. Service was polite but very slow. Our food was very slow in coming out from the kitchen. The restaurant seemed understaffed for the busy holiday night. The pork shoulder was a small portion and very fatty. All the other food was good.
Dear Carolyn, Valentine's is a very busy holiday in our restaurant, but that is now excuse to give less than you expected from a restaurant such as Larks, that is dedicated to sharing the best available local ingredients, paired with incredible local wines and warm, attentive, professional service. Our team appreciates your comments, your business, and will make every attempt to reach our goals of hospitality.
The waitress seemed preoccupied and aloof. She failed to ask if we wanted drinks with our dinner. I ordered Halibut and was told there was no Tartar sauce available. The Manager however was very accommodating and finished serving us when our waitress failed to return to our table. Poor service.
Our server, Stephanie, was a delight. The table was just what we hoped. My onion soup was spectacular. We all enjoyed our meals in a quiet unhurried environment. It was a perfect celebration lunch
Thank You to Larks and to the wonderful service we received. We left a high review of our table server. She was a delight. The party was a Birthday celebration for my 94 year old mother. It was cute that the chef in the back put her candles in to read "49". We all laughed!
Thank you so much for the delightful luncheon!
Really the best service we have had in a long while! Exceptional food with exceptional service made a wonderful night out with friends. Thank you
Always a wonderful experience at Larks.
Thank you for the kind words, we are so glad to hear that you enjoy your time with us
The menu selections are limited. The food and service were good but the portions were small.
Waiter was excellent. Would like more food choices. The steak was excellent.
Very disappointed in the food and service. The screw top wine was the best thing we had. The soup was colder than room temp and the meal was below average. We won’t go back.
Unfortunately, my dining experience on Christmas Eve was not as favorable as it was the last time (Mother's Day). The pork and fried chicken meals were very underseasoned, and the parsnip puree was chunky. Strangely, the meatloaf was the only dish that one of my guests enjoyed. I'm afraid I expect delicious food for these prices, and Larks missed the mark on this one.
Lark's has the best meatloaf and ribeye in town. I love their booths for a cozy conversation.
There was a large group in a back room. There were only 2 very over worked servers so us sitting in the dining room were not very will attended to. We had to ask for our water glasses to be filled, and it took a long time for our food to be served. We understood the servers problems but the lack of Larks addressing the matter was the problem.
Pretty disappointing menu.. very few options. Duck ravioli should be considered an appetizer portion. And the southern fried chicken was a joke. Tasted like a fish stick.. yes.. that bad. Our waitress was sweet and attentive... but we won’t be back that’s for sure. As for the hotel... stay far, far away!
Service was extremely slow! Irish coffee missing cream topping, cold by the time the cream arrived.
Food was good, but prices were high, salad was extra.
I always go to Lark's Medford for its ambience, its friendly staff and its value. I prefer it over Ashland's restaurant as it's more spacious and has more light and better seating. Also, great for birthdays and celebrations.
We were celebrating my birthday and we had a really nice time. Food was absolutely wonderful. Between all three of us we had cocktails, wine and coffee, all great. Appetizers were delicious, charcuterie board was absolutely great! Our main courses were above and beyond delicious, more than we could finish and presentation was beautiful. Dessert was also delicious. The atmosphere was quiet, it was a Monday so wasn't very busy. Service was excellent. We felt very relaxed and just generally had a really nice dinner.
We are 6 old friends who meet for birthdays throughout the year. Except for the early summer birthday, when we can eat at an outdoors restaurant, we choose Larks every time. Can’t wait for our January event. Thanks for good food and service.
I really enjoy this restaurant in Medford and Ashland. One of the top 10 eating establishments in Medford area.
Fantastic food at a great central location.
Had a wonderful evening with grandson and daughter and wife.
Every dish was disappointing and most was tasteless. I love the ambiance and the staff was good but the food needs drastic improvement! It tasted like a Cisco menu, but the price is like fine dining. Even the salad, which was dressed nicely, looked like it had been out all day as the greens were wilted and limp rather than fresh and lively.
