Wilted lettuce and rancid bacon grease served by a polite waitress in a nice atmosphere.
Great food as always. Missed my Brussels Sprouts appy. Hope they can get them back on the menu.
My daughter had the pasta and said it was delicious. My wife and I had the lamb. Some of the lamb was underdone, some very fatty, and some Very good. The vegetables were awesome. I should have said something at the time but didn't want to wait and have my daughter's food get cold waiting for ours to be fixed. Next time I will though. I thought the vegetables kind of made up for the lamb, they were so good.
There for Easter Bruch.....have stayed at hotel at least 15 times and have had nice meals at Larks....so decided to try a holiday ..
Requested a window table and there were many open tables but got put at small cramped corner table.....
The whole entire meal felt rushed obviously to create more turnover
Will not return again for a holiday
This is the most wonderful restaurant in Ashland! The daily menu is always filled with scrumptious standards, both for carnivores and non-. The specials are tasty surprises. I had the porterhouse-sized pork chop with black cherry reduction while my son had the special halibut with porcini mushroom sauce. The folks at Larks we’re also kind in bringing out a special dessert for my son’s birthday celebration (arranged in advance). The wait staff are always pleasant and very helpful and attentive without hovering. Whenever I’m in Ashland fir the Oregon Shakespeare Festival, it is off to Larks religiously for the best culinary experience in town.
We had a lovely birthday dinner together. Everything was perfect!
Special recognition and kudos to Asher, who had an impeccable combination of attentiveness, promptness, and charm.
As always, outstanding service and brunch. A treat to sit by the window, sipping coffee, nibbling on a scone, talking with a friend, watching Ashland's Sunday parade of people walking their dogs (or vice versa).
The food was good, but not great! My meal was the pork chop and it was a bit dry and not particularly well seasoned. The service was very good and we had a great seat so the ambiance was very good. Bottom line is that the food was good but not great and it was way overpriced for the quality.
Great experience, we live in Ashland and will be back. The rabbit cacciatore was fabulous! Enough for two meals!
The ambiance, service and entrees could not have been better. Absolutely first rate.
I have been to this restaurant on several occasions and it has always served really good food. Kudos to the chef!! The price of a glass of wine is way too high, and I think there should be more of a selection of non-Oregon local wines. However, the wine we had was excellent, just too expensive by the glass.
There is some weird new policy they have in making you ask for bread and then when they bring the bread for TWO people, they only bring three pieces. That's stupid because, bread pieces should be EVEN, so the two people aren't fighting over the last piece. lol I recommend they provide bread at the table without customers having to ask and that they supply an even number of pieces of bread for the number of seated customers at that table. The bread is just too tasty to do anything else. Our waitress was outstanding. The service was outstanding except for the above mentioned bread policy, and the food outstanding. The table we sat at was really nice by the window. Chairs comfortable. This is a really NICE place to eat, but you need to have some serious money and willing to part with it to eat here.
We enjoyed our meal but had to wait 30 minutes after our reservation time for our table.
We had a ladies birthday lunch celebration and it was perfect!
The staff were awesome. The food was carefully prepared and had a beautiful presentation!
Spinach salad had way too much raw onion in proportion to spinach
Mussels were delicious
Service was OK but not great. Wanting to take my salad way before I was finished
We probably stayed too long talking. I think the waiter was annoyed
OK experience but I was expecting it to be fabulous.
I use Lark's in both Medford and Ashland. Thanks to our great server for making our meal!
We took our son and daughter-in-law out for dinner, and were happy with the experience. The wine list is very good. We needed a gluten-free option for one guest, and the kitchen was accommodating. I particularly enjoyed the brussels sprouts. When the pork chop arrived underdone, our waitperson whisked it back to the kitchen immediately for correction; we were not charged for that meal.
It was a delight to celebrate this day, special menu and exiting environment. Very much appreciated being greeted by other servers who we have experienced in previous visits. Felt special for them to come say hello and wish us s great meal and experience. We LOVE Larks!!!!
As usual and as expected my wife and I enjoyed our lunch at Larks. The staff were friendly and we were waited on quickly. We will recommend Larks to our friends from out of state when they come to visit.
Larks is quite beautifully appointed, the staff are lovely, considerate and friendly, the menu is creative and the food delicious. My recommendation: have a locals' special in the winter. It was quite pricy for one piece of fish, a cubed sweet potato with rosemary sprig - Could have included another veggie or a small side salad or cup of soup?? Delicious, but expensive.
Excellent food but I feel that for the price the diners should include a soup or salad.
As always, excellent service!! Food, ambiance, wine list...!!!!
Our dinner was wonderful; my spouse got the filet mignon and I had the cheese plate with charcuterie. We shared the salad special and a dessert special. All were excellent. We had a very nice wine, and the service was attentive without being overbearing. We were very happy with our meal. We charged the dinner to our room without any issues and everything was as it should be.
Soups, salads and steak was delicious. The meat loaf dry and disappointing . Service was outstanding as was the ambiance.
Living in Ashland, Oregon is a treat in itself; a small town brimming with culture often exceeding that of NYC, Chicago, Los Angeles, et al, with 4+ dining experiences paralleling the same! So when I say My dining experience at Lark’s, this evening, exceeded. all expectations, it should indeed be noted!
The squash in the pasta was uncooked. Hard as a rock. Very dissatisfied as I was expecting amazing from Larks.
Our server was delightful. Enjoyed my birthday dinner very much.
Always my favorite place to eat when visiting. Food is always fresh, delicious and consistent.
Lovely Ahi tuna. Every entree was much enjoyed and service was pleasant and just the slightest bit quirky in a fun way.
One of the best places in town. The food is always great and the staff is very friendly and attentive, plus they have a great bar right in the heart of town!
We ate here for New Year's Eve. Part of bonus special when staying at Ashland Springs Hotel. Atmosphere warm and comforting, but our table for two was smashed against a wall. Felt closed up and unable to really have a conversation since another couple was locked right next to us. Food is tasty, rich and my fish dinner was very salty so that's why I didn't give it a high rating. Price is very high for what you get. We were accidentally billed another amount to our room number even though we paid our bill in full at restaurant. It was a good thing we kept our receipt, so the hotel took off the extra charges from this restaurant. I recommend this restaurant if you want a generally nice dinner at an expensive price, but definitely save your receipt if staying at hotel.
Service was good food was Great! DON'T mind paying for what you get but this place was definitely over priced!
Tasty, server often read from his notes, not looking up at us. But he quickly fixed his mess up and all was good.
Our meal was fabulous. We are locals and love going to Larks for all kinds of occasions. Your eggs benedict were one of the best I have had. Other good news is we used our 10% off coupon. We also like Larks in Medford and Luna in Ashland Keep up the great job of bringing fine dining to our valley.
There are too many items on the menu you need to pick up to eat. I like to use my fork as often as possible so the choices are limited unless you want a salad. The fried chicken is good but I got a very small portion. When I saw a waiter bring the same dish with a much larger piece of chicken on it to another table, I complained and got them to fry me another piece. But I shouldn't have had to ask.
My wife’s birthday
The staff was attentive and pleasant. The food as always was excellent and very well prepared. the presentation of all the food was very well done. The atmosphere was very nice not overly noisy. We will definitely return.
Brunch With Santa
My dinner came out cool but delicious. Service was wonderful !
I enjoyed everything but my Cobb salad, which was bland. The rest of the party liked their meals very much. The waiter was terrific and they comped the dessert for the occasion, which was a sweet 16 luncheon.
