Larks - Home Kitchen Cuisine at The Ashland Springs Hotel
Lovely meal....great service. Marionberry martinis....yum!
Everything was super.
My wife and I go to Ashland twice a year to see plays at the Oregon Shakespeare Festival and to enjoy the town of Ashland, including the excellent dining opportunities. Each time we go, we have dinner at Lark on one evening. We have never been disappointed.
Ordered the filet mignon entree and it was delicious!
Love Lark, the new fall menu was inventive, colorful and delicious. We’ll be back,
We've eaten at Lark's many times, for lunch and for dinner, and always enjoyed our experiences. The food is spectacular and the waiters are unfailingly nice, knowledgeable, and there when you want them to be.
For a table of 6, it is so nice to be able to engage with the entire group and not have a soundtrack of loud music overwhelm you or require you to shout (I may have betrayed my age here, but it's true at any age!).
A+ in all categories. One of best restaurants in Ashland.
Great menu, everything well prepared.
This is our second time dining at Lark's. The dinner was beautifully prepared and the service was excellent. We will certainly return.
Absolutely outstanding meal and the service we received from Jessie was impeccable. We'll definitely be back!
Excellent service, food and ambiance. AND our request for a specific table was granted. THANK YOU!
Took a 5:00 seating before the play anf art walk on a Friday. Good choice. We had the place pretty much to ourselves until 6:15, when the rest of the play goers showed up and the noise and bustle increased substantially. We had a very nice meal--the kind one would like to enjoy with conversation and no time pressures. The service was very good, which might be expected when there are fewer customers to demand attention but which seemed to carry on well for the arriving crowd. Interesting and well prepared menu, good wine list, beer limited to bottles, too full to try desserts. A good choice among a number of good choices in Ashland.
Excellent food and service. Never felt rushed. Whenever we are in Ashland we go to Larks
As a guest in beautiful Ashland I always love to visit the Ashland Springs Hotel. Larks is the restaurant at the hotel and I've never had a bad meal there and this time was no exception. Service is always excellent and the food presentation is elegant.
Visiting Ashland from San Francisco Bay Area for a wedding. Lark Kitchen was recommended by a neighbor. We were not disappointed. The food, servers, and ambience was exceptional. Very pleased we experienced Lark !!!
Excellent all around
Fabulous fish & accommodating kitchen which changed up ingredients to meet some dietary restrictions. Thanks!
Excellent food, service&ambience, reasonable prices. Have enjoyed every visit.
We had a wonderful experience tonight due in large part to our waiter Jessie. A couple of entrees came out of the kitchen that had been sitting and were no longer hot. He was gracious in sending them back and ensuring that they were right. It was worth the wait. All entrees were great and wine pairing recommendation was great! We will continue to enjoy this lovely restaurant! Thank you, Jessie.
Always a pleasure dining at Lark on our annual trip to Ashland to attend the plays. Food is always delicious. We both had the halibut and LOVED the petit peas/corn combo with it. Service always good.
The entire dining experience was very nice! I would definately recommend this restaurant and hotel!
Our meals were delicious and thoughtfully prepared and presented. As simple as homemade perfectly balanced Caesar dressing, with side of lemon; to perfect temp Halibut and crunchy fried moist chicken. Collard greens spot on, risotto perfect al dente and richness. Two notes of probably personal preference: croutons were very hard and as much as we so wanted the garlicky goodness, we’re worried about our teeth.....and mashed potatoes were tasty but very lumpy.
Ending on a great note, our complimentary Sundae to share in honour of our anniversary was unexpected and romantic! We recommend Larks full stop and will be back often.
Our favorite restaurant in Ashland. Great menu and service.
Awfully slow device. We would have come back for dinner except for that.
This place was QUIET! Food excellent but limited menu selection. Well located, old world, classic
We regularly visit Ashland, stay at the Ashland Springs Hotel and see OSF plays. Larks has usually been reliable, in the quality of food and service. On this occasion the food and service was truly superb, measuring up to the best of the best in London, New York, San Francisco, even if it does not have a Michelin star or two, as do the restaurants to which it compares.
Dined with two friends last Sunday evening at Larks and I think all three of us would agree, our meals were tasty and beautifully presented. Our waitress was very attentive and helpful with our dining selections. I love the Ashland Springs Hotel and Larks compliments its elegant feel.
The restaurant was very pleasant. The service was great! The pasta dish was delicious and the chocolate sundae for dessert was a highlight.
Excellent menu selection, great service, and close to the theaters.
It was the flies. They were quite bothersome, and our waiter was not concerned.
We chose Larks for our anniversary dinner during a trip to Ashland for the plays. We love the decor, especially the historic bar which is so inviting to sit and have a drink. Our waiter was very attentive and provided good support without being overbearing. The food is expensive, but they use fresh ingredients and good pairings that make the most of the dish. I had a steelhead filet served with sweet potato puree and carrots cooked in duck butter that was elegant and very tasty. My husband chose a vegetarian risotto option that used potato instead of rice. Although it was not the usual risotto, he enjoyed it. The choices of wines by the glass offer a variety of Oregon options as well as some imports. I liked the option to get a small glass of wine for half the cost, since often you just want a little more, or a taste of a couple of different wines, without having to get a full glass. Our dessert was a flourless chocolate torte with salted caramel ice cream that was simply delicious. All in all, the meal was expensive but worth it.
One of our favorite spots for 6 years-always a great meal, ambiance is perfect for really great food in a casual space. Waitstaff is always attentive without being overbearing.
We sat outside for the first time—we much prefer being inside; better atmosphere that enhances the experience.
Lovely anniversary dinner date, as always! Fabulous pasta this time, and excellent service.
We look foreword to Larks each time we visit Ashland.
Excellent food was locally sourced, imaginative, and beautifully prepared. Reservation immediately available, and the meal was a pleasant experience.
A delightful lunch. We shared the tomato and burrata, which was a great start. Caesar salad (a bit overdressed but otherwise excellent), tuna melt, chicken and eggplant sandwich, and basil tomato bisque were all quite good. Dessert was a real treat, with the butter cake (like pound cake but allegedly lighter ... a half-pound cake?) with peaches and vanilla ice cream was a real hit. The basil-infused sorbet was very unusual and a delightful surprise. Drinks were fun, too, whether alcoholic or not. Service was absolutely perfect in every respect.
Great food and good service in a lovely relaxing setting!
When bringing a group of folks to Ashland to introduce them to OSF, we always recommend Larks and know they will have an outstanding meal and experience!
