Food was really good and service was good as well.
I selected this restaurant to celebrate my niece's birthday. We went there after seen the menu online, octopus salad and Moscato D'Asti wine to start with. However, at the restaurant we were told that the octopus salad was taken off the menu a month ago. Then, that they did not have the Moscato D'Asti wine.
First time there, first and last disappointment there. We ended at Maggiano's; my niece loves Italian food.
Food was very fresh and tasteful!
Sat for more than an hour and a half waiting for food. Staff didn’t do much to help. Tables around us came and went. Asked to see a manager and one never came. Have had good meals here before but service was simply terrible. Shop and take it home.
Service was extremely slow. Too many tables/reservations for the number of waitstaff available. Waitress was ovewhelmed by so many tables that she forgot to put our order into the kitchen.
Employees at hostess stand were unfriendly and somewhat rude when we checked in for our reservation.
Service was ok. I’ll go back again maybe on week day when they aren’t so busy.
Didn't like announcer coming over load speaker
a little pricey
Love everything about Eataly! Amazing food and a great market to shop! The atmosphere is comfortable yet high class! I can’t wait to go back!
Food was fine… ( the pesto burrata pizza was very good) Service was TERRIBLE. Too expensive for the experience. We’ve been in better restaurants for the same money and way better everything.
The food was pretty good and really fresh, however, the issue was with the service. We had a reservation for 4:45 PM but they made us wait for an additional 15 minutes. They offered to give us a private room since we waited, but they then retracted it since they "didn't have enough servers". On top of this, we brought desserts to celebrate a birthday and were told that we were not allowed to eat them due to a complaint last time from another customer who had an allergic reaction to a homemade dessert. We later found out that another customer ran into the same issue, but they called ahead and were told that they were allowed to bring homemade desserts. The hostess ended up agreeing to allow us to eat our desserts due to the disorganization and misinformation. Once we sat down, we wanted to confirm with the manager, however, the manager then told us she would have to charge $20 for us to our homemade desserts that we brought. Overall, the service from the management and host/hostess felt unprofessional. They didn't uphold our reservation and did not clearly communicate with each other in regards to this dessert policy.
We were not pleased with the teams ability to seat our large party. They said they lost our reservation. Outside seating needs sun shades for a way better experience!
The atmosphere was nice, we tried the fried calzones and were very disappointed. It was just bread and very little cheese, pretty much no sauce and small bits of the ham. Probably about $1 worth of ingredients. Save your money and buy a pizza or pasta some place else.
Good experience from food to service was great
Did the $25 pick 2. Delicious! Truffle and ricotta bruschetta and the mushroom papardelle were phenomenal and a great value.
Wonderful atmosphere. Staff so attentive and pleasant. Food delicious!
Second time visit. And was the same service and quality.
When we got there we were seated and waited for about 10 min before the hostess came over and told us they were moving us tables, after being there for another 10 minutes without a waiter/waitress coming by for at least water, the hostess came by and asked if we wanted water. Not sure if this was due to a staffing issue or not.
Our waiter Kyle was great, food was amazing.
Overall, my whole experience with La Pizza & La Pasta was very underwhelming, just like my experience with Eataly overall. At the restaurant, the food was okay, not good, but not bad. It was not very seasoned, except for a lot of salt. However, when first seated, two slices of flavorless bread and a plain bowl of olive oil was put down. We ordered an appetizer of the fried calamari. Moderate portion, but only came with a wedge of lemon. No dipping sauce. For $19. Our entrees, the chicken, and the porchetta, came with nothing but the meat and a very small dressed lettuce for the chicken and shaved fennel for the porchetta. I got one glass of white wine, and my husband ordered iced tea -- which came in a bottle. Two bottles of tea cost more than my glass of wine. Total of $107 before tip.
Coupled with the blah nature of Eataly overall, and with the truly sparse and lackluster bakery department (as opposed to the full and lush photos seen online) have settled that I will not come back.
A wonderful selection of authentic Italian dishes. We had carpaccio, linguine volgole, and a margarita pizza
Delish! Handmade everything! If you want some of the best italian anywhere, make your way to Eataly.
Basil is not that expensive. When you order a margherita pizza, and you get one tiny leaf in the middle? It may sound nitpicky, and maybe if the crust was better it wouldn't matter. But it isn't, so it does, and nowhere in Italy will you get a margherita pizza with one tiny leaf. And considering the astronomical markups on the wine? At least spring for a little more basil.
Food was okay, not great, so the price felt steep for what you get. They looked understaffed so the service wasn't great, so that's not necessarily a recurring issue, but it took over 10 minutes for anyone to come to us after being sat down. We might give it a another shot and see how it goes down the road, but not a great first impression.
My fourth time here and food quality and service are going down. They are clearly short staffed and we only saw our waiter when we placed our order and when we paid. I’ve gotten the Bellini several times and it was off this visit. I ordered the lasagna (ordered before ) and it was dry. Needed sauce or creamy. Geese or something - was like eating sand. My partner got the calzone and whatever the meat in it was really strange tasting. He ate about 1/3. I noticed the table next to us did the same with their calzone
It should be noted they sometimes offer bread and olive oil (which are good) but I find you have to ask for it.
Lastly, their meatballs have been consistently good.
Love the food here. Always a treat. Save room for dessert.
After 2 hours at the table with no food, we finally left. Disappointment for sure. Huge lack of communication. Unacceptable. Won’t be returning.
Main course took a bit to come out but great time regardless. Waiter was great.
This night they had a ticketing issue where their system stopped working. After being there over 2 hours only 4 of the 10 people got the food they ordered. While waiting the restaurant didn’t attempt to make things better without us asking. For example, after an hour of waiting for the food, once they told us of the issue, we asked if they could bring bread for the kids. They did. To help with our experience they didn’t charge us for the bottled water and two sodas we drank.
Second time I’ve been here. First time was AMAZING!!! The food and attention to detail were notable. This time the food prep. was average, and portions were smaller. Pasta was over cooked, almost gummy. Will try once more, and hope for a better experience.
Good food! It’s always our go-to for great pasta. Will come back again
Great! It was our anniversary and they gave us free Prosecco! Wonderful experience!
Delicious food! The margherita was extremely authentic and the cacio e pepe was the best I’ve ever had. It was a bit noisy at times! But the price is great for the quality of the meal.
Pizza was excellent but the Tuna salad was poor. Had the tuna salad a few weeks ago and it was excellent. Shame about food inconsistency. Puts us off about returning.
I love Italian food! I ordered the ragu with fresh tagliatelle. It was good, but I’ve definitely had better ragu. It was a little greasy and salty, and not as creamy as I prefer. The pasta was also good, but I do have tasted better fresh pasta. The server said this was the most popular dish on the menu, and I think it was $24, which seemed pricey since it wasn’t out of this world.
They have a DOP margarita pizza for $16 I’m going to try next.
The fresh pasta here is to die for!!! So delicious. Such a variety of pastas for every palate.
The meatball appetizer was fabulous as was bread. Flavorful. Sent back the Ravioli do Zucca. Flavorless.
We sat in the bar area and had the pleasure of having Andi as our waitress. She was super knowledgable and passionate about the menu and her timing was perfect. My girls, age 12 and 14, love this restaurant and so do I! Our faves are the fried pizza ball appetizer, burrata and meatballs. The pizza is great too. Great family restaurant with delicious food.
Bisteca steak undercooked for medium. Was more like rare. Not worth the $100 price. Overall quality of three pastas dishes was okay. Basically food I could have cooked buying eataly products. Would not let us open and eat a cake we ate bought im the grocery store to sing happy birthday.
Food is a little pricey and drinks very expensive. Was a nice outing.
I have had much better experiences in Eataly in NYC and Chicago. This time service was quiet slow and food was not as good as I was expected. not at all close to my previous experencies in other cities.
Pizza and calamari was great! We got the fru fru and it was nice to try multiple pizzas in one. I was really disappointed with the service, very slow. Also, if don’t specifically ask for tap water, they charge you 7 bucks for fancy bottled water. Will most likely try again for the pasta, but definitely not a place to celebrate a birthday. Go somewhere more intimate.
