Horrible service. Pizza was good. Pasta was so so. Couldnt barely get water refilled. Couldnt pay our check. Service took forever. Table to next to us couldnt even get a waiter and water for 20 minutes. Food is over priced. Not worth your time. This is 2nd time trying this and second time service was terrible.
Great food , I love the pasta and desserts were amazing
QUADRATI -Ricotta and Spinach Filled Pasta, Lemon Butter, Pistachios was excellent as was the LASAGNE EMILIANE. The dessert
PROFITEROLES - Cream Puffs filled with Chantilly and Pastry Cream covered in chocolate were complete disappointment! Tiny cream puffs overpowered by tons of chocolate sauce. I love chocolate but this was over kill on the tiny delicate cream puffs. All could taste was chocolate. Everything else excellent!! Will go back but get different dessert.
We were seated immediately. Our waitress was excellent… friendly, patient and yet, attentive. Food was great. Wine was great. Really enjoyed our night out!!!!
Server was good until he forgot about us.
Fun, new place at North Park Mall to eat. Feels like the NY store!
Good food, little noisy, very pretty restaurant!!
Superb meal, especially the branzino! We enjoyed the arugula salad and caprese salad to start. First rate bread and pasta!
Excellent food and service. $16 for a glass of house wine is excessive. Will not be buying alcohol next visit. Portions small. Thought this was an Italian restaurant, not French. Noise level was almost unacceptable. Could hardly communicate with my wife who was sitting next to me. If with another couple, dinner communication would have been very difficult.
Our expectations were very high because we heard the food here was incredible. We had a reservation and arrived early. The hostess was so rude when we asked for a booth after taking us to a seat with four other people dining at the end of the table. There are very few booths, as this is an open concept design, but there was one that people had just cleared out of. She scoldingly said “Well, your going to have to wait for a while then, I don’t know how long”. We came back after 5 mins and another hostess sat us. They all seemed a bit overwhelmed. Maybe a training issue. Our server was pleasant. The food was ok. Pizza is authentic soggy crust so if you like it crisp you have to request that. Got the mozzarella board with added prosciutto which was good. The place is extremely loud and crowded including the market around it. Looks like an amazing place to shop and will probably try the counter eatery for pasta if we are back at the mall. So overall review for the sit down restaurant is loud, crowded and just ok.
Love love love this place. The best food and experience.
Service was great! The Arancini and the bruschetta are unbelievably delicious. You are eating fresh, homemade food. At least, that’s what it feels like to me.
We arrived at 7pm for 7:15 reservation. because we were driving in from Ables Spring and was unsure of traffic and they have a policy of 5 minutes late your reservation is cancelled. Had heard raves about food and the attached grocery store. We waiting until 7:35 for our table. Then they escorted us to a bistro table that was very small and by the door exiting to the patio area that the wait staff used. I requested to be moved to another table. The hostess stated that there wasn’t anywhere else to be move to. After several minutes of trying to decide is we should just leave and go to Season 52 for our special dinner. I requested to speak with the manager as I had placed on our reservation that we would be celebrating our 12 anniversary. The head hostess listen to my concerns and immediately moved us to a larger table away from the door.
Overall, the noise level made it extremely hard to carry on a conversation , the food was Ok but not grand. They did give us our dessert for free. There is also a huge problem with fruit flies. They are everywhere. Cost of dinner 160.00 including 2 alcoholic beverages. While it is the “rage” of Dallas to eat there, we will not be returning except to purchase a few grocery items.
The worst service we’ve experienced in 40 years…. We will never go back. Three of us had finished our meal before our fourth even got his dinner. Not even an apology. We talked to manager who only comped one meal. Our waiter just disappeared and the restaurant wasn’t even full. Plus, we had to wait to be seated about 15 minutes, even though we had reservations. Very disappointing.
I had high hopes for this restaurant, but it did not meet my expectations even half way. We had a reservation for four and we’re seated at a table that had two random plates on it. Nothing else and clearly wasn’t ready for us. Service was ok, except 3 of us all had our drinks about 10 minutes before my fiancé even got his beer, and we all ordered at the same time.
Pizza was amazing. Pasta was mediocre and lacking flavor profile. The sage on the butternut squash ravioli was raw and the lemon butter sauce on the pistachio pasta dish appeared to be added as a last minute thought, because the butter wasn’t even fully melted. I was told the Bologna’s was delicious though.
I think the issue is that this place is so busy they are just trying to get food out as fast as possible. We were told pizza is from a different kitchen and I’m sure the Bolognese sauce was made ahead of time, so the flavors really had time to set in.
I’ve been to the Eataly in Chicago and it was so great, so maybe this one will get there eventually.
All good. Food was excellent. Service was charming, organized and fast.
Food for the most part was good, service was underwhelming. They seemed spread thin on the staff side.
The food was delicious as always. However, the service was pretty bad this time. We kept having to flag down our waiter to get plates, forks, place more orders. Additionally, management was unprofessional.
The food was awesome... everything surrounding the restaurant was awesome! Only complaint was how slow the service was... other than that they get an A from me
The staff was very accommodating and the service was helpful. I will say we were a little surprised when we got our bill and saw that we were charged for our Italian flat water and mozzarella when the waiter asked us if we’d like to add if to our dish. We were until the impression is was going to be like asking someone if they want Parmesan or pepper added to their dish. So be prepared for the up charge. We also had to ask for bread, but I’m not sure if that would been an extra charge as well, or if we should’ve had it brought out with our meal. Overall- the food and taste was so delicious.
Love the location and the vibe. Decent food as well, however, staff and management was not prepared for walk ins and reservation customers, a little unorganized, but overall, love the place. would definitely come back.
Sever could have been more tentative of our drinks
This is my second lunch visit. The food both times have just been okay. I had the homemade lasagna today. It was barely warm and lacked flavor and seasoning in my opinion. Also, I ordered a glass of the Prosecco from the menu and the waiter didn’t inform me they were out of that particular Prosecco and poured me a glass of Ruffino Prosecco. I wanted to try one of the Italian wines on the menu. If I had wanted Ruffino I could have just bought it at Kroger. I really like the concept of Eataly and the overall store and atmosphere. The food has just been disappointing for me.
Awesome meal, reminded me of eating in Florence, Italy.
When I ordered the Sparking water, just for myself, I received half a liter, which was $7 and way too much for me to drink. I had more shopping in the mall to do, the waitress did her best to put a cork in it, but it popped off, I keep a hankie in my purse so I was able to use it to eliminate any spillage in my bag. Just be Mindful.
Overall, I had a great experience here! I ordered two pastas and a pizza to share with two others which was perfect and delicious!
Everything from the food to the service was outstanding! I would definitely be back to this place. Loved my whole experience!
The pizza was excellent. I was not impressed with the pasta dish I tried or the lasagna. The cannolis were not very good. The service was great. No complaints there!!
Had been wanting to try Eataly and loved the experience. Lasagna was very good except a little dry. Asked for a small amount of sauce to eat the rest and was charged $1.50 each for 2 of us that were served the lasagna. I don't think that was necessary to charge for something being dry from the kitchen. Our waiter was exceptional.
The food was really good but the portions were too small. We ordered Bruschetta and it was one slice of bread. The price was $10! We had to cut it into 4!!! The waiter was not very attentive and kept looking at other women and getting distracted.
The overall ambiance was great and felt very lively.
We went early so not the rush hour and the service was terrible. The food was not good wither.
I took my elderly friend to lunch yesterday at The Eatery because she had heard good things and wanted to go. It was great from beginning to end. The parking valet took good care of us and made it easy. Our server, Ulysses was helpful, patient, and really good. We loved our butternut squash ravioli, pizza with a tender crust, and the tiramisu. I can't wait to go back!
The server was awful. The foods and drinks came out in different times, the foods and drinks were wrong items, and the service was slow, and some of the items never made to the table.
Took 8 minutes to get a table for a reservation I had. Took 15 minutes for our waiter to finally come over after being seated. Didn’t offer bread. Brought oil and no balsamic in it. Had to waive him down to order food. Had to waive him down for drink refills. Very forgetful. Food was amazing. Service was bad. Had put down it was my moms birthday and that was never acknowledged.
Poor service. Slow. Unfriendly.
The reservation was for 12.30 PM. We asked for a table outside. Were told for table outside we must wati till 13.00. Ridiculous! The calamaretti fritti were good, the side
sauce was like tomatoes coming from a can.No taste at all.The margherita pizza very good. The rosé wine, Alie from Tuscany excellent.Very good service.
Beautiful restaurant with amazing food! i would highly recommend.
Excellent service and the best Italian food around!
Sooo delicious you should try
3 out 6 meals were wrong and 3 out of 6 became ill that night. Meal took 2.5 hours, the noise level is loud, and service was less then moderate. By the end of the meal we could not even get water for our glasses. There are too many better places in Dallas then to eat here.
