   Usually love eataly. They must have had an off night. Pastas were not as good as they usually are. We went for mother's day too and it wasn't as good. But i figured it was busy for mother's day it they were trying to get done. Ordered the fried calamari... The plate had very little calamari and significantly a lot more fried zucchini. I told the waiter he just shrugged his shoulders like there's nothing he could do. The seafood pasta was very fishy too. Seems like the portions are smaller.

   My husband ordered lasagna which was delicious. I asked the waiter if I could just have some fettuccine Alfredo and he said sure. When my dinner came, it was in a small bowl and extremely dry, I felt like I was just eating plain add noodles. Then my husband tasted it and said that there was no sauce on the noodles. I I asked the waiter if he could bring me an extra side of sauce, and 10 minutes later, it finally arrived but the noodles were cold. Once I put the sauce on, it tasted like the real thing. So, I’m assuming that the kitchen forgot to put the sauce on the noodles. I brought it up to the waiter and he went and talk to him manager who just shrugged his shoulders as if he didn’t care. When the bill came, they had charged me $26 for the fettuccine. I couldn’t believe it the lasagna was 25 and I did not understand how they could come up with a $26 price tag on a small bowl of noodles with cream sauce.

   Must order a pizza (tried the larger marg) and tiramisu for dessert. Espresso martini was divine! Skip the focaccia as an app. Looking forward to working thru the pastas to find an excellent go-to.

   Food was so delicious and our waiter was very nice and attentive and answered our questions. Focaccia bread was outstanding-so light and fluffy compared to other places where I have eaten it. Overall, a great experience. We'll be back!!!

   2nd visit here (lunch) and a disappointing one. Service was not good but in all fairness, our server had several tables inside/outside and just was not present. I had the salad with tuna (canned, not-white meat) and most uninspired. My companion had the ravioli pasta with lemon sauce that was very good. Cappucino arrived cold but no one to tell. Not a great lunch at all.

   Good food, cold bread and I got refused when I ask to warm it up, salmon cooked perfect but the eggplants on the side.. very cold as well like coming from the fridge. Carbonara it’s okey.

    We typically enjoy all of Eataly's restaurants. On this visit, the experience was a bit uneven. The pizza and meatballs were fantastic. We also had two of the new pasta dishes. Both came nearly 20 min after the pizza, which made for a bit of disjointed meal, and both were not hot. The Cacio e Pepe was overcooked and the dish came in a sauce and was quickly finished in a wheel of cheese. The Tagliatelle alla Bolognese was missing Parmigiano Reggiano.

    Oh good LAWD........Eataly was amazing. First time for us going and we're fans for life now. Food was amazing, service was friendly and really knowledgeable, and the atmosphere was perfect. I would warn visitors to try and avoid wandering the market BEFORE you have eaten though. Same principle as not going to the grocery store hungry, except that the Eataly market has way more that I personally would be buying so the pre-dinner trip would have bankrupted the family.

    Arrived at 3:57 for a table For 2 reservation for /4:00pm. Was told to come back at 4/00 for the table. So we turned around got back in line at 4:00. Seriously? Then our table didn’t even have two chairs.

    The lasagna had almost no taste. Also, it's yet another restaurant with nothing but hard surfaces. So although it wasn't too noisy with a relatively small number of diners at 8 pm on a Sunday, it must be deafening when really busy. I do wish more restaurants would install some sound absorptive materials. I'm not inclined to give it another try.

    Love the 'homemade' pasta and the sauces are so unique. Not the greatest for conversation as the room is very loud but good for a quick bite when shopping.

    The hostess depends on which one you get. TheAfrican American one was rude and played the “ I don’t see you look” . But then all got better. Waitress and food were fine. Second time on hostess attitude

    We had tried “Terre” restaurant several times. We wanted to see how this restaurant compared. Bigger menu. Pizza options. But, it was noisy and didn’t feel as special. We agreed we will eat at both- Terre for intimate special events. La Pizza for more casual or when we want the wider variety. That said, La Pizza is not less expensive.

    Took friends from out of town. Hoping to show them how wonderful Eataly is. The service was horrific. The young, large, black Hostess told us she didn’t have a server for a decent booth and put us in a horrible booth. We asked her to put us in a different place, and she said they didn’t have a server there. Immediately afterwards, she seated another group in that booth she didn’t have a server for 3 minutes earlier. We asked the server for a different table, and he very happily reseated us. He also commented on how everyone hates that booth. We then watched her see someone in that same day immediately again. The food was cold. I’m afraid I’m not going to be back.

    Though we miss Dean & DeLuca, this was a great alternative. Not found it is in a Mall setting, as the store is not spaced for that much traffic. Over all good selection of items, if you know your Italian options. Will have to return during the not so busy time to get a good sense of the choices and social atmosphere. Btw: An Italian eatery with no Risotto, on their menu. Hmmm

    I would highly recommend La Pizza & La Pasta to anyone that loves authentic Italian cuisine. All the food is very fresh and portions are very adequate. The entire food presentations were 10/10 in my opinion and you are getting quality as you would with other high end Italian restaurants in Dallas. The staff was very friendly and our waiter was very attentive and knowledgeable on the menu and wine pairings.
