I’ve been here many times and enjoy the food. This time there were 6 of us. Problem was that we got our meals at all different times over a 30-minute span, meanwhile other tables that sat down after us were being served. Really hard to track down a wait person to follow up. Made the meal awkward.

My group and I had a nice meal at Lao Table. Location was really convenient. Drinks and food were flavorful. It's worth noting that this venue is somewhat loud at peak meal time.

While I love this place for the quality of the food and it's setting. Opening the main entrance door at 9:15pm to indicate that the restaurant closes at 10pm and for the customers to leave on a cold San Francisco day is far from acceptable. Multiple requests made to the staff that it's cold and difficult to enjoy the dinner only resulted in shoulder shrugs. I will not go back !

We were very disappointed with the service. We got mains before drinks and appetizers and it was difficult to get hold of a waiter. We had to ask for things like take-out containers several times before we got them. Staff was not friendly and one of the dishes was overly salty. Overall the food was good apart from that.

We had an excellent dinner at Lao Table! Everything was flavorful and delicious. We definitely recommend it and would definitely return when in San Francisco again. We started with the crispy spring rolls which were some of the best we've ever had! The wrapping lettuce and other vegetables and herbs were the perfect accompaniment. For entrees we had the Pad Pha Beef and the "Totally Prawns", prawns in a coconut curry sauce. Both were delicious and very flavorful. The service was attentive without being overbearing. Again, we highly recommend Lao Table!

Great food but I felt they they were rushing us and trying to get us to leave by 7:45 (30 minutes into our meal). Before we’re we’re finished they were trying to take our plates, turned on the bright lights, moved furniture, told us we couldn’t order anything else, etc. Not very pleasant.

Went with a party of 4 on a Thursday for lunch. Two of the people in our party live in Berkeley and my other friend and I were visiting from Hawaiʻi for a work conference. One friend had called the day before to ask if we needed reservations and was told we did not. We arrived around noon and asked the hostess for a table for 4. She asked us if we had reservations and we repeated what had been told to us the day prior. She said she couldn't seat us without reservations because they were busy. Okay, fine. We made reservations for 45 minutes later and were seated quickly when the reservation time arrived. We weren't even sure who our server was as different people kept coming to our table. And none of them even tried to be nice or friendly. After we got our food, no one checked on us and it was impossible to flag someone down. People working would look at us, see that we were looking for some help, then look away/ignore us. I understand a busy restaurant. I worked front of the house for most of my life. But come on. Maybe they were short staffed. Maybe they hadn't anticipated being so busy that day. But management could at least communicate to guests what's going on. The food came out quickly but it wasn't even good enough to make up for the crap service. We ended up going to a different Thai place later that same day as a palate cleanser for both the food and the service.

I met a friend who I had not seen in years for lunch. We were doing a quick catch up but were approached at least 4x in 5-6 minutes about ordering and felt rushed to order. Food was fine. Was hoping for offerings a bit more exotic but maybe Laotian cuisine is similar to Thai.

This last experience was very strange for us. We are regulars & usually have good service. Our food was too spicy and overdone. We had to chase them down for water, boxes and our bill. No one checked on us during the meal and overall just disappointed with this experience. I called and left a message for a manager to call, no one ever called.

The food was terrific. The pacing of the dishes left something to be desired, with the main courses coming when we were only half way through the appetizers. Value was good. If you’re sensitive to spicy foods (chilis), ask about the spice level before ordering. It’s hard to find a good Lao restaurant. This one exceeded expectations.

I had a great experience dining in here. It’s nice to try other Asian cuisine. Although i think it’s labeled as Osha Thai, i love the Lao flavor. New taste to my palate. The price i think is right since they deliver an excellent food and service not to mention restaurants need the help recovering. The overall ambiance is appealing. Wish i still have extra tummy so i can order the mango sticky rice with shave ice, but next time!

Found this neighborhood gem online looking for a restaurant within walking distance of the Palace Hotel. Excellent dinner, nicely seasoned, nice portion size, and good value. We had spicy crispy garlic chicken wings and salt and pepper calamari appetizers and shared a delicious Pad Pha Beef dish..... more than enough for two people.

Upscale SE Asian food. The food was good, not extraordinary. Personally, I found the menu to be somewhat limited. Friendly service. Beautiful setting. Good alcohol selections.

We had family members visiting us from out of town and decided to make them experience Laos cuisine. The ambience was great. It appears the place is well lit now. I did like the dim lighting setup in the past.
