   We always enjoys dining at Lannings. There are very few really comfortable restaurants in which to dine. I am not a nervous wreck because the music is too loud and/or inappropriate for dinner. The staff is always very attentive and accommodating. It is a perfect dining experience

   Expensive, fast food-type meals, ill trained servers with no knowledge of basic restaurant etiquette. Such a disappointment! We used to love Lannings, it was a special place...the charm and good service are gone just like the salads and the trays with garnishes and dressing! Will not go back ever again.

   There is a charge of 5% for credit card use. Outrageous. At Lanning's prices - most people would use a credit card. Also - was not told that au gratin potato was NOT a substitute for the baked potato, nor that it was for 2 people. Charged an addition $14 for them.

   Love the view and atmosphere. However the rolls were a little stale, the crab cakes were fishy. Our entrees were the fish special snapper and shrimp scampi. They were good but expensive for what you get.

   Dusty was great, Matthew was great! Filet was very good! The shrimp scampi was pretty chewy. Ambiance with Stan Miller was really nice. Loved that he came around to greet guests. Nice conversation with him.

   Food was overall good, but nothing spectacular. We had to ask for more bread for the escargot. Bread is not available to pass at table, and diners must select bread they are wanting from a basket that servers are holding.

    The dinning room is completely remodeled. Gone are the very high chairs you couldn’t move. The decor is very nice and inviting. Very good vibe in the restaurant. Everyone, including the valet service, thanked us for coming and wish us a good day. Probably best service and food we have had at Lannings. New owners are to be congratulated on the great job they have done.

    We have been here before but this time it was not good at all. Our food took one hour and 20 minutes to get. Our waiter said gave the same answer for all of our questions about recommendations. They valet gave us our keys to our car before we had our food because it was a slow night and that was at 8pm. There are no vegetarian options. The dessert was under cooked. The baked potato was still cold and raw on the inside. The sea bass was tasteless. The macaroni that was a special order was covered in corn flakes and had absolutely no taste.

    Wonderful table over looking the river. Pretty mediocre after that. Pretzel bread without salt? Stale rolls. Croutons special- fried, not special. Fish dry. Rice hard and undercooked. Cheese cake boring. Baked potato was great. Delivered the wrong steaks to people around the table. Never returned to check on temps of the steak. Not sure why it was so busy.

    We were seated promptly and initially things were fine. Then my boyfriend and I ordered our steaks, he ordered medium-rare, I ordered medium. Both of the filet mingnon were well done. The waitress asked if our steaks were cooked properly, we said they were too done and she just walked away. So we ate them, and the table service decreased quite a bit after that, then they told us they would comp 1 dessert since both of our steaks weren’t done properly. I don’t think I would go back when it’s so pricey to eat a steak for $60 that I could have cooked better myself.

    Delicious food. Amazing service. The only down side was their lack of specials. The menu seems smaller, which isn’t a bad thing but sometimes it’s nice to spice things up a little.

    In my opinion this is the best restaurant at this level in all of Akron and vicinity! Starting with arrival and reception you are greeted by polite and friendly staff! This aspect is missing in many restaurants at all levels. The staff are genuinely pleasant and capable. The owners if there will personally greet you and make sure all is well. The food was great last night! For the past two years this good restaurant has improved due the care and the passion of the new owners. I highly recommend this restaurant.

    I have dined at Lannings a many times over the last 30 years and have always had the best experience. The food is presented and prepared wonderfully. Very appetizing. The service is great and the atmosphere is exquisite!

    The food is pretty good. We ordered the escargot, lamb, petit filet, rice, potato, and a shared side of asparagus. The appetizer was delicious. The steak was great. The lamb had a very uneven cook, being medium on the outside and being more on the rare side toward the middle. The rice was kind of mushy and texturally not the most pleasant. The baked potato was served in foil which I think is an odd choice for a dish that was $60. The asparagus was cold and the hollandaise sauce tasted almost like some sort of store bought cheese sauce which was odd because it’s egg, butter, and lemon? Overall, I would enjoy trying this restaurant again, but certainly would not order the lamb or asparagus again.

    The food is amazing, and the customer service is excellent. I love the updates to both the menu and the dining room. Everyone is so friendly and kind, and they absolutely helped make my mother’s 87th birthday special and memorable. Lanning’s has been our favorite restaurant for many years and will always be our first choice for celebrations and special nights out.

    The menu was limited . But the food was very good . Mostly steaks . All the employees were very friendly and professional . We liked the jazz in the lounge after dinner . We wanted to eat in the lounge, but no availability, but the lounge was empty when we looked in. Our table for 4 in the main dining room , had two of us staring at a wall, no view. Reservation through Open Table, states “complete.” Yet, I did not receive my open table points

    The renovation is nice, the food is still excellent, and the owner showed a genuine interest in the patrons experience! The attention to detail with a card and rose for our anniversary and the special seating at table 5 was all so nice!

    The steaks were top notch, per usual. Non-Alcoholic beer selection needs to be attended to. O'Douls is not even a TOP 15 choice for this level of Lounge/Restaraunt. Many options today could be Stella Artois, Becks, Heineken, Peroni, Corona, Bud Zero, Buckler, Etc. Secondly, the marketing of the new sharable sides made us believe they were in lieu of the infamous baked potato detail. They came as seperate a la carte pricing that caught us off guard a bit. Please allow waiter to make clear in future. Wonderful evening, Wonderful establishment, Wonderful entertainment in Chad Hoffman. Keep up the classy atmosphere despite minimal complaints.     Excellent entertainment while dining. The new owners are extremely friendly and want to make sure every customer has a great experience. Wine list is great. They offer Caymus by the glass, which is pretty much unheard of. I extremely enjoyed this because I was the only one drinking a red and would not be able to drink an entire bottle, but was still able to enjoy a great glass of wine. Food was delicious. Larry the singer was incredible. We were in the bar, which was adorable. But, we looked at the restaurant. It was remodeled, and beautiful. Defiantly, will go back and enjoy a dinner in the dining room and then relax in the bar for some great entertainment. The owners name is Dean Martin, which is incredibly entertaining. Great job remodeling Mr. and Mrs. Martin!! Would I recommend? YES!

    This was a birthday dinner for me and did not disappoint. Our first time dining at Lannings and I think we will return. Dinner was delicious, dining room was charming and service was top notch. Next time I think we will request a table in the bar as they have entertainment.

    I thought the food was good, not fantastic, and felt it was way over-priced. The server kept trying to upsell us on everything and when one of us ordered Maccallan 12, we were told you only had 15 but didn’t tell us it would be $40 for one drink! If we come back, we certainly will watch what we order. Only 2 of the 4 of us drank alcohol and the bill was over $150 a person.

    Attended a family dinner celebrating my retirement. The food, drinks, service and ambiance were all outstanding! Both owners came over to the table to give me well wishes and chat a bit which just added to the experience. Can't wait to go back!

    My husband & I went here for our 20th anniversary. One of the new owners introduced herself. Everything we ordered was wonderful! The special sauce they use on their steaks is delicious! I would highly recommend eating here. Our waiter was great & the atmosphere was very nice. We've eaten here several times before & always liked it. Definitely worth the 40 minute drive.
