    PLEASE NOTE - price is per set not per person Buryani is a dish to be celebrated and shared and we encourage you to do just that. Each week is a new version, but the menu always includes a chatty pot of buryani, baked in the oven, made with saffron scented rice layered with some sort of curry affair, topped with a cashew temper. With this comes a sambol and a raita, or something similar, and papadums. Always papadums. Watch out for our guest chef series where the set structure remains yet the flavours go wild. The set is good to share between two to three people however you will need to add to extras from the normal menu to complete your meal.

    This banquet gives you the best of everything. Short eats to start, with the buryani served with an array of accoutrements as your main. Followed by a little dessert. Watch out for our guest chef series where the set structure remains yet the flavours go wild and we match dishes from our menu with our visitors tasty delights. We will take credit card details to secure your booking, but no money will be taken at the time. A cancellation fee of $60 per head will be charged for no-shows or bookings cancelled with less than 12 hours notice.

    The food quality was good and very friendly service, however we got the banquet and the value of the banquet is pretty ordinary with the amount of mains (the protein). There was only a couple pieces of fish for 3 hungry guys. Some of the banquet items (thick toast & iceberg lettuce salad) were strange selections - our fault too as we took the easy route of the banquet rather than selecting a la carte which would have been much better.

    The food and overall experience was as good as any restaurant ever. Truly superb. Blue Eye fish wings and Mulloway were particular highlights but everything including hoppers and roti and sambols were great. Wine list also excellent. Thanks very much for having us LFS

    Wonderful authentic Sri Lankan food except a tad less chilli and pepper. The hoppers and string hoppers were lovely with 3dishes-eggplant, dahl and seeni sambal. Great food for a night out. We felt like we were in Colombo!

    Great food, great service on a very busy day in the neighbourhood. The restaurant was fully booked & though we arrived an hour early for our booking they made room for us. We will return.

    Best fish curry I’ve ever had, wonderful ambience and a lovely way to start off the week. Dishes are made for sharing and I suggest ordering more than less because everything is so delicious
