Very pleased with the food, service and ambience. Felt that the experience was relatively good value for money.
This was our first visit to L' Anima and had a great experience with some wonderful creative food with lovely ingredients enhanced by brilliant flavours. The wine list was extensive although limited at lower price levels but wonderful quality red wine recommended by sommelier . The whole evening was made memorable by the wonderful attentive service of all the waiters and waitresses.
Make sure you are sitting down when the bill arrives because its not one for the faint hearted. Overall experience was an enjoyable one, but I would say that there are items over-priced such as the Grappa at £17.50. Portion sizes could be larger for the tasting menu, but the quality of food was very nice. Very attentive service.
Lovely restaurant. Great food and service. Thouroghly recommend.
the winter tasting menu was great value. Staff were very helpful
Had a fabulous time on Friday night. The food was excellent and service was top notch. For starters we ordered the raw tuna and octopus and n'duja, mains were the monkfish and turbot. The sommelier recommended Trebbiano d'Abruzzo which went well with our dinner. We were quite full but found our second stomach to share the Cupolone, the Chocolate dome - it's a must have. I can't fault the level of service which was perfect. I'd definitely come again.
Very convenient for meeting friends in the City and was a surprising find - we arrived early and the restaurant was empty but all the staff were very friendly and welcoming , giving us special treatment =- the restaurant soon filled up and the atmosphere grew but did not crowd in on us - super food off the taste autumn special and great wine - overall good value - would not hesitate to recommend
Chi Chi restaurant full of business men the night we went, with an entrance that was quite hard to find! Good service throughout. Offer included prosecco. Bread basket was delicious. Starter (cheese and pumpkin) and dessert (blueberry and almond tart) both good, main of baby chicken a bit disappointing.
Big space which filled up later in the evening but felt rather empty to begin with. Suspect busier for lunch rather than in the evenings. Food was good. No stand out dish. Service good.
PERSONAL VERY ATTENTION AND AVAILABLE. BEAUTIFUL AND SILENT ATMOSPHERE. CAMERIERS ATTENTIVE TO OUR REQUEST AND BACKGROUND REQUIREMENTS.
The restaurant was lovely and nothing was too much trouble. The food exceptional, service fantastic but we did go on a Saturday which I believe is a quieter night for them but this meant that the staff had time to talk to everyone. I didn’t like my dessert (personal taste) and so they changed it with no questions asked.
Restaurant is quite sterile, could do with an injection of colour /energy. Food was ok, but not fabulous.
Ideal for a business lunch only
A faultless lunch enjoyed here last week. Superb value using the Taste of Summer promotion.
Food and service was exemplary. Will definitely return.
I had lunch with my friend and goddaughter the other day.it was a very nice welcome so good service and very well presented tasty food.prawn and courgette spaghetti super.one thing the air conditioning was a bit too fierce i did mention later in meal and seemes to get bit better.great location for liverpool street station
Super food and interesting wine list. Very competent and discrete service.
The bright airy feel when I first entered made me worry I may be dining in a goldfish bowl but the one way smoked glass resolves that problem whilst adding people watching opportunities for those commuters not enjoying the fine dining here. We went for the special offer - 3 courses plus prosecco and really enjoyed it. Great food and some very nice presentation. Waiting staff were informative with details about the dishes without being in any way intrusive. Would happily go again.
We had a special summer offer. The value and the food was outstanding. The only issue we had was, that we waited 3/4 hour between starter and main course. For a lunch time event just far too long.
Had summer menu. Staff were excellent, very professional and couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. Food was very good. For this part of town, 3 courses plus a glass of prosecco plus coffee is very good value, particularly when the food is this good. Ambience was also good, not too noisy so we could talk.
Went to L'anima for friends get together and a birthday. Food was excellent.....tasty and well presented. Lovely wine list. Service was welcoming and attentive. Recommended.
booked a table via Open Table and selected the set menu option - which is a steal! great service, good wine list (pricey), simple but elegant setting, beautifully presented delicious plates, the food at this restaurant is definitely fit for Foodies!!!
ran into some confusion on arrival as they wouldn't give us the set menu claiming we didn't book online. luckily I had proof!
nevertheless, we had a lovely evening, and will return for sure.
Great food as usual , service over efficient and rushed. We have been many times . The restaurant wasn't very busy but we were a little rushed by the service . Clearing plates and glasses when you hadn't quite finished and the next course appearing before you were ready .
I have eaten at L'anima before and my previous meal was fantastic - this time the food was very very average . In fact i took my friends here based on my last experience and ended up being quite embarrassed as no one really enjoyed the food.
The wine list is great though.
Excellent food and servcies! Very good value for special offer set dinner .
Superb food and great service
The banker office crowd with large groups of banker bro s is a bit of a buzz kill .
The octopus starter was lovely, both in texture and taste. The linguine was a tad overcooked, but the base wasn't overly rich and quite refreshing. The monkfish was delicious, it was paired well with the sides. I only wished they could have removed the bones. The tuna was mediocre, could skip that dish. The service was great, apart from how fast they spoke making it difficult to catch every word. As for the dessert, I ordered the souffle and it was mediocre at best, I could not taste the 'whiskey' and the waiter just poked a hole into the souffle without a warning. The caramelized pineapple was meh and the tiramisu was decent. The atmosphere of the space was great, would wanna try during the daytime.
They could not have been more accommodating since we arrived with an extra guest and then one guest (the key client) had to leave early. The food was delicious and the staff were all smiles and helpful.
Great restaurant. Really good food, the pasta and ravioli were amazing. Lovely staff. We felt welcome as soon as we entered the door and service was impeccable all throughout dinner. Highly recommend L'Anima for a business lunch or a romantic dinner.
Excellent starters and pastas!
Excellent: the bar is very good. The general manager made sure everything was just right. We will be back soon.
High end Italian dining in London... never let's you down.
Fantastic! Always spot on👌
Great and delicate food and super wime pairing. Nice and discrete service.
Everything was perfect about this place. I don't normally like Italian food, but this place did it for me. 11/10
Very poor service (had booked a table, got seated half an hour later / had emailed and confirmed a special set up for special occasion, was not provided), no ambiance, unfriendly staff. Food was excellent though.
Wonderful food and service, very corporate and formal vibe
Food good. Service good only slight negative is that when busy it's hard to hear yourself think. Bare floors and walls make for bad acoustics. Looks good though!
Excellent service, delicious food, nice ambience. I'm pregnant and the staff took good care of me! Quite expensive so good for special occasions, dates etc.
Food was tasty enough and service was friendly but whole feel of the place is corporate and verging on souless
My partner and I came here for an anniversary. We'd looked at the menu before so we expected the higher-end prices. For a Friday night, the restaurant was quiet but because of it's location we assume it's a little busier mid-week for business meals. The service was impeccable - I would recommend the restaurant on that alone. We even had a few freebie bites and extra glasses of wine on the side which I thought was a really nice touch and that kept us happy but also made me really full that I was too stuffed to order dessert. My partner ordered the lamb which looked very good and I had the mushroom risotto which was so-so. All in all, a good place to come for a really special occasion and just want a quiet place to talk and laugh. I'd come again for another special occasion to try a meat dish.
As always the food and service were top class and the Somellier advice for wine pairing was perfect.
