Excellent food and very friendly service! This place is a true gem. The gnocchi pesto with burrata is a must so is the truffle pasta, can’t wait to go back
we were outside, and it was a quiet night. The food was great and it was very relaxing. I would just say to make sure you check your bill. I almost didn't and then when i did i realized they charged me for a small item we didn't have. I might be paranoid but i just found it odd because it wasn't busy and it was a cappuccino . We never even looked at or discussed getting dessert. I guess mistakes do happen so it might have been an honest mistake, but all the more reason to check. I would go back.
We sat outside, it was a nice evening and I had read a lot of good recommendations. They had a regular menu und a special menu with additional dishes such as the famous truffle pasta - without mentioning the price. So when I ordered it the waiter said: you know, I have to tell you the price so it’s 49$. I was definitely surprised by the price and I think they don’t write the price on the special menu on purpose. A regular contract requires two consensual declarations which definitely can’t be made without knowing all the important information - such as the price.
Anyway, I changed my choice because I think that’s robbery. We had Cacio Pepe and Carbonara and it looked really nice. unfortunately the carbonara was too salty and the cacio Pepe was missing something (maybe salt).
After we finished we wanted to leave and since we sat outside the waiter had forgotten about us. Not particularly severe but in a restaurant where you pay 100$ for a burrata and two pasta I expect attentiveness.
Food was great, however, our service was a bit slow (there was only 3 other tables at the time) and our server mumbled a lot.
No prices on the specials, wasn’t fun receiving the check and seeing how much it was after the fact.
absolutely delicious. a little expensive for what you get, but the homemade pasta is outstanding
Food was tasteless and over priced.
Great, as usual! Just a little louder than usual!
It was the perfect place to have a birthday dinner. The food was delicious. Absolutely loved the truffle pasta they had as a special.
we ate at around 5 and there was only a handful of tables so it wasn’t very busy but the food was amazing. The pesto gnocchi with buratta was delicious, definitely my favorite! It was a special but I needs to be on the menu all the time it was perfect!
I feel like the waiters were constantly up selling us. We aren’t tourists
Great location and wonderful for summer dinner outside, service was okay. Both dishes were just so-so. Wouldn’t go back or recommend it.
Thoroughly enjoyed my food here. The Truffle Pasta was amazing, but make sure you ask for the price beforehand! Loved the bread basket and red sauce. Crispy Octopus was not very crispy at all, but pasta quality makes up for this. Servers were awesome, attentive but not annoying
Service was great. The food was ok overall.
I like the restaurant but it was so loud that my husband and I could hardly speak with each other.
Don’t get the specials without asking the price!! They charged me $50 for a pasta
As far as italian goes in the city, the pasta was alright, the Truffle was too creamy and overpriced. Gnocchi was good though as were the meatballs. Service was great, but food was not really totally up to the standards I expected given how expensive it was. The pasta was not al dente enough and lacked much fortitude in terms of consistency and texture.
The gnocchi pesto with burrata is a MUST have!!! Everything was excellent, the staff was friendly and the outdoor dining is beautiful! Enjoyed very much and can’t wait to go back
It starts from laminated menu... tv screen on the wall, people trying to pour tap water to your glass with San Pelegríno...
It’s an art to make a poor dish with pasta, but can be done.
My daughter said... when the taste of bare pasta is not good, there is a problem.
We were very careful to choose desert which is most difficult to spoil... took creme brûlée. Even that had a wrong texture...
A pleasant, intimate restaurant with outdoor seating. The food was fine (salad with beans, creamy polenta, squid ink pasta) but, afterwards, felt a bit rich. The staff was attentive. Cannot address he noise level because we dined outside.
The food was amazing and the service was great. I had the truffle pasta and it was excellent.
All in all had a great experience here! The service was amazing and it was one of the best gnocchi I’ve had.
Great food, service and atmosphere!!!
Amazing food, great staff.
Been going since it was Roc. New people very friendly and professional.
New discovery close to our condo. Delightfully light food. Exceptional service. One of the best values around.
Elegant white tablecloth restaurant with exquisite food and excellent service. Will frequent L'Angolo again soon!
Swag place swag food but tiny portions
Very good food, service and ambiance. My favorite Italian restaurant in Manhattan.
I decided to try L'Angolo from pictures I had seen from a view food blogs and because it looked like an authentic Italian restaurant. The food was good overall, but the pasta's were just way too salty. For the price you pay, it's not worth it in my opinion unless you like salty pasta.
The outdoor tables are great in pleasant weather and the view across to the park is nice. Handy location in Tribeca and quiet to moderate noise level before 7-7:30, even on a Saturday. The food was good, but avoid the Caesar Salad: no coddled egg or anchovies so the salad is underdressed and tasteless.
Beautiful outdoor eating.
Best pesto gnocchi i’ve ever had!
The food was very good. The service was excellent. A bit noisy because it was quite crowded.
Went for brunch, and the prix fixe seemed like a good deal, but the food was good, not great. Probably food on the regular menu, while more expensive is tastier. Great service, great view of park, but food was average.
Came here for a team dinner for work. Service was impeccable. All the food was delicious. We had the burrata special appetizer, and almost everyone got fresh pastas. The team is still raving about this dinner!
Visiting from out of town, happened to notice this restaurant while mis-navigating. Overwhelmed by choices with little information to go on, we looked on Open Table and there was a table available! We thought - what's the worst that could happen? Our expectations were greatly exceeded! We had a lovely evening, with friendly, attentive service, great seafood (swordfish and branzino, without overly precious sauces), decent wine selection at reasonable-for-Tribeca prices, and a lively but relaxed neighborhood restaurant atmosphere.
The menu had normal and fair prices. We ordered the truffle cacio e Pepe special and the waiter let us know the price was $49 which was what he should’ve done. We then ordered two gnocchi pesto with burrata and he didn’t tell us the price so we assumed it was the same price as the other gnocchi on the menu which was $20. We got the bill and it was $35 each. This place was a huge rip off and i feel personally victimized for the price of the specials. The food was great but very poor management to trick customers that way. Shame!
Love the atmosphere and the portion size. The salads and pastas were delicious and you did not feel overly full after leaving.
Food was delicious and service was great! It was a very special experience. We will be back again and again!
