About Langdon's Restaurant
Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar is located in Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, just across the Cooper River from the historic city of Charleston. Chef and owner Patrick Langdon Owens has taken Lowcountry cooking to a different level. Crispy local grouper served atop brie grits with applewood smoked bacon chardonnay basil cream or pepper crusted tuna over baby greens with avocado relish and wasabi-topped with fried leeks are just two of the many wonderful selections that are featured at Langdon's Restaurant and Wine Bar.

Langdon's Restaurant Ratings and Reviews
A truly outstanding meal, ambiance and service. Lunch prices are quite reasonable.
The ahi tuna on polenta was one of the best seafood dishes I've eaten. It was more delicious than a similar fish dish I had recently at the AAA five diamond Salt Grill at the Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island, Florida. We hope to drive up again soon from our home on Amelia Island to experience another meal at this great restaurant.
I've been a fan of Langdon's for years. It's setting in a small, quiet portion of a BI-LO strip mall is unassuming, and doesn't hint at the exquisite food and service within. Our choices were the shrimp with polenta cake, and the foie gras. The foie was perfectly seared, and softly buttery, balanced with a sweet glaze and crisp, lightly vinagraited frisee. The shrimp were firm and spiced heavily enough to interact with the creamy polenta cake. Our entrees were the pork, and the lamb rack. Each had a smoky, chargrilled exterior, (a rarity in grilled meats), a light glaze, and was perfectly cooked. The smoked tomato grits had an incredible depth of smoke, yet sweet freshness of tomatoes, and the other accompaniments were delicious. The service was quick, friendly, with good natured humor. The house kindly gave a complimentary champagne for my birthday (my restaurant of choice for celebration). I keep coming back to one word for Langdon's - "perfect".
AS always, Langdon's NEVER disappoints! Awesome Oysters Rockefeller, great Arugula Pear Salad, Amazing Grouper and Succotash, Wonderful Salmon and Pork Chop...all perfectly prepared! For our Birthday Boy, we had the Lucious Warm Chocolate Cake. Tim was an excellent, professional and very pleasant and helpful server. Great night at Langdon's! MMMMMMMMM!
The menu had an interesting variety, in a good way. We split a baby arugula salad which was delivered on two plates with a nice presentation. The fish of the day was seared grouper, was served on a bed of leeks and corn risotto, and provided a perfect portion size. My wife enjoyed the shrimp and grits. Both dishes were quite tasty. The only downside: although I identified the reservation as a birthday event, no special touch, not even a small candle, was added to the dinner or dessert. With the upper tier restaurants in Charleston, we have come to expect a little something special for such occasions. The wine was priced in an acceptable range and the meal was priced within the typical Charleston market. All things considered, it's a great choice for those who appreciate fine dining but don't want to deal with downtown parking and crowds.
Dining at Langdon's is always a treat! All 4 of us in our group had a wonderful meal, as we always do at Langdon's. My husband and I had the Hawaiian Ahi Tuna with avocado, and it was heavenly! We both loved it. Our friends who we've brought there before loved their meals, too. We used to wait to come to Langdon's for a special celebration, but now we've decided not to wait so long between visits as the food and the experience never disappoints!!
Langdon's never fails to please. Greeters and servers are warm and friendly without being obtrusive. A great wine list complements the best food in Mt Pleasant, if not the Charleston area. All the food contains fresh, local ingredients but the daily specials shine even brighter in this regard. A stunning tomato bisque, glistening and flavorful, followed by shrimp and grits elevated to a fine dining experience, left our English guest suggesting Michelin should take a look at Langdon's. As always the husband's steak was perfectly cooked and the heirloom carrots were al dente, colorful and a great accompaniment.
Have been here many times, but this is the first where I was not totally satisfied with the service. The meal was late and then when we asked about desert, no one brought us a menu and then 20 minutes later I had to hunt down our waitress to get the check! Not what I had anticipated!!!
We have eaten here several times and at the sister restaurant Opal even more often. The food was excellent, especially our pate and shrimp appetizers. The only thing I would suggest is a gluten free bread be available. There are so many fine restaurants that accommodate people allergic to gluten that I am surprised this is not one of them.
