Had a lovely meal to celebrate my birthday, as ever the welcome, service and food is first class here.
Popular restaurant with a pleasant vibe, we would highly recommend.
Thank you again for the birthday cake which was a much appreciated and thoughtful surprise.
Been going to Langans for longer than I can remember
Always great always friendly
Will continue
enjoyed very much and will return in the future restaurant was busy and the staff coped very efficiently
It’s been a long time since we’d been to Langan’s and that is our loss. It was just as great as it’s always been. Great food, service and atmosphere. It won’t be too long before we are back!
Brilliant!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Don't need to add anything else!!
Langan's sets high standards and, once again, lived up to them. The food was as good as ever, the service was exceptional from friendly, dedicated, highly professional staff. In a relaxed yet decorous atmosphere, we had another first class evening and I would have no hesitation in recommending Langan's to anyone.
Visited Langans for my wifes birthday. We were cordially welcomed by staff with lovely smiling faces and escorted to our table. The restaurant was moderately full and the ambience was perfect. I chose the winter vegetable soup which was delightful mopped down with the lovely bread baton. My wife chose the cheese and mushroom dish which I of course sampled and it was superb. We chose a nice bottle of Sancerre to toast the occasion and the wine list is expansive with choice to suit all tastes.
For my main meal I chose the Rib Eye steak cooked to perfection melting in my mouth. I of course sampled the lamb shank that my wife chose and this too was delicious.
The whole experience added to a very special day and we will return for my birthday in the new year.
Intersting food, well cooked and tasty. Great buzz in the restaurant.
Hadn’t been to Langan’s for a couple of years. The restaurant was busy, as usual, the food was pretty good, in particular the duck & ginger salad starter, but the service was not up to standard. We ordered a bottle of white wine and it was not left in an ice bucket by our table so we could top up our glasses when we liked, rather it was taken away and we had to ask a waitress to top us up which was annoying.
We had a nice dinner. Food was nice, service was a little slow In the bar area but then we moved through for dinner and it improved. It’s a nice restaurant but is tired. Needs updating.
Always a safe bet for taking new clients or family where you know the ambience, food and service will not disappoint....still feels a personal experience even though the restaurant has a large footprint
Thanks
Excellent food, friendly and efficient service, buzzing atmosphere - fantastic.
Our favourite restaurant since first going in 1994. The team treat everyone equally and are so professional and also friendly. They helped make our birthday dinner very special.
We met with old friends and had a lovely evening. Everyone thought Langans had a very special atmosphere and very good staff. We might have broken some record for number of questions asked to our very charming waiter.
There was an issue with a number of birthday parties (Saturday night) being a bit noisy but it would be churlish to moan about this. However there were two nearby tables where males were using very foul language. My wife silenced the first with a mighty glare and fortunately the other staggered off into the night.
The menus has plenty of delicious classics, fish pie is highly recommended.
Fabulous service lovely atmosphere super oriental duck salad starter
My wife’s birthday, very good all round lunch
Great table setting and our ten guests were given superb service as always.
We love to return and look forward to our next visit for a lunch or dinner
Excellent as alway just the waiter was not very friendly he made it seem like he really didn’t want to be there. This is a shame as we have dined with you several times and alway found the service to be excellent
We went on a Friday evening. It was pretty busy but the service was efficient and friendly and the food was good. We like the atmosphere and mix of people and it is our favourite London restaurant.
Too many large tables positioned at either end of the main restaurant of 10 guys being guys. The voices got louder the more the drink flowed. The noise levels become intolerable
Management must be on top of these situations to politely check other guests are not inconvenienced.
It`s not up to customers to intervene. The food was good, service was good but was it worth it no!
So many others around with modern smarter interiors & food as good.
We had an early dinner after work. The restaurant was nearly full and very noisy so for conversation you need a loud voice to make yourself heard and good ears to hear over the hubbub what is shouted back. The service was good although we got forgotten a few times. I had a tomato and Mozzarella salad and a slightly undercooked risotto, my partner had mussels and lamb shank, very tender. £70 per head including one cocktail and a 500 ml carafe of wine.
Great experience, wonderful room, busy atmosphere, service and menu choice first class, nice wine list without being over priced,
We booked a late dinner with clients after a work reception. Staff were attentive, food was great.
Extremely extremely noisy, to the point that in a table for 3 we could not hear each other or have a conversation
Great atmosphere plenty of space top service good food selection excellent wines.
Will be back time and time again
My family and I have been going here for years. Continues to be an excellent establishment. Thank you
Overall a good experience.
Service in particular was courteous and efficient .
Ambiance is very nice but as with many larger restaurants the noise level made conversation a bit difficult.
Steak and kidney pudding rather dry and uninteresting other food was good and the mussels excellent.
on;ly real complaint was from my guest who though the fish a little dry.
The restaurant was very busy with good atmosphere. The service was very good. The two people I was with both really enjoyed the seafood salad and the fish pie but I chose wrongly and chose the pheasant which is rather tasteless but it did come with a tasty gravy.
A perfect venue for a special night out. Faultless. Is no wonder this restaurant has been popular for so long.
The service was excellent, the friendly waiting staff were always there when we wanted them - my glass was never allowed to be empty - but respected our privacy. I had mussels in white wine sauce for a starter - they were cooked to perfection although there were too many of them for a first course in my opinion. The pheasant was pleasant and my friends thought that the "Dingley Dell" pork was very tasty. Overall a very enjoyable lunch.
Tired and Sub Standard but Big Prices
I have been going here for decades, and it always has a charm and character, however the last few visits culminating in last night, feel more and more like an unloved tired old dame with no leadership. I had a moderate duck salad with leaves that look they had come straight out of a bag, my main of the daily special, beef in wine, tasted nice, was tepid in temperature, tiny in size and cost £25. 2 of us had a moderate meal, 1 gin and tonic 1 beer, no dessert and it cost £133 being to my mind bad value. I sadly feel this much loved institution has served me one moderate over priced meal too many, and until it has a major makeover and evaluation of standards I wont be going back to the 80s anymore.. . Bye bye Langans.. I will miss you
Having wanted to visit this restaurant for a long time when we finally got there we were very disappointed
The food was ok and very over priced for what it was
I am not adverse to paying for quality and sadly this fell short
No mussels left which was disappointing
We were seated next to the service door which was a little busy
Fabulous evening, excellent food and wine and the service was superb
From the moment we stepped through the door we were made to feel welcome and special by the friendly reception staff. The food was superb and as described on the menu and our waiters were professional, kind and helpful. This was a birthday celebration which was a great success.
Always good service, food always amazing, had a brilliant time with our friends...thank you Langans!!
A great time for a special occasion
Staff were friendly. Food excellent
The food was excellent and the service was very friendly and professional. The noise level from other dines behind us was loud for a Saturday afternoon and at times made it quite difficult to hear our selves
Nice meal on Friday night, but extremely noisy in both the bar and restaurant. Could hardly hear yourself speak
