Landry's Seafood House - St Louis
Food just “ok”. I used to feel great about taking clients to a Landry’s sponsored restaurant. Unfortunately not any more. Dinner here was just so so. Great server, Rachel had good suggestions and excellent customer service. Did’t want for anything.
Ordered filet mignon and asked to have it butterfly so could get a medium cook without over cooking the outside sear. Only partially cut through with 2 inch lump in center. Baked potato arrived barely warm enough to melt the scoop of butter. Chocolate cake desert was fresh and good tasting.
Unlikely to return to this Landry facility.
Food was absolutely delicious. Also good sized meals.
We sat on the patio with view of lake at union station. Once the aquarium is complete I expect the views will be very nice (October 19)
Good fried oysters. Average service. Way too noisy.
Loved our food! Our server was so nice and knew that we needed to be done in time to get to the concert. He did his best to get us our food and out the door. We had allowed 1.5 hours for dinner also just to make sure we weren't late. Everyone at our table liked their food. It's a little expensive though. ($115 for just me and my daughter, but we both got crab legs). Overall, it's a very nice place with great food!
Service staff needs better training...food quality was marginal. Banking on tourists dollars creates complacency.
Service was very slow and food was not very good. Not a good experience for our first time at Landry's
Food was mediocre, service was extremely slow and not accurate based on table conversations around us and was very expensive versus the quality of the product. Will not be going back a second time.
4th July service and restaurant was short on staff. Our waitress was wonderful! She was gracious and quite capable. The food was good. Our table was satisfied!
Our waitress was awesome. The staff were also pleasant. I ordered Mahi fish and it was not done. Thank God I am not ill. The manager took it off the bill by that time, we were already running late for our event. I did not get a replacement meal however. Sticking to Las Vegas for Mahi Mahi fish...
Service good. Construction zone noise. Food was fried and average.
We made reservations and when we arrived we were told it would be 5 minutes. My wife and I sat down next to the hostess stand and watch group after group get sat. After about 15 minutes a group of 6 walks in and say they do not have a reservation and proceeded to get sat. At this point we left. We just assumed that if the front is this messed up the back is just as bad. It ruined our anniversary. We had to scramble and try to find a place to eat at 730 on a Saturday night. We didn't get to eat until 930.
First the restaurant is located in the middle of a construction zone and almost impossible to find. The service was horrendous. The shrimp cocktail was not fresh. The salad was soggy. The lobster tail was difficult to cut with a knife. The background music was not quiet and soothing. Do not go here.
We shared three appetizers for our meal. All three were mediocre at best. Won't go to the St. Louis location again.
Greeted warmly and seated promptly. Server was friendly and attentive. Food was great as usual. Their salads are exceptional!
Poor food quality and understaffed restaurant
The friendliness of the service staff could have been a little nicer. The managers were nice but the girl who came around to pick up the dirty plates had a horrible look on her face all of the time and didn’t say a word to us when she grabbed our dirty dishes, not even a smile. I had to ask for crackers and a plate and bowl for the crab legs I ordered, I would have thought that would have been brought out along with them.
Service was slow. Never got a refill on drinks. I ended up drinking my husbands water as well as my iced tea and nothing was refilled. My food was warm when it came out as well. I asked for a refill of my friends Moscow Mule twice and it never came either. Ambiance was nice outside on the patio though.
Landry’s really needs to work on improving its consistency in food delivery every time. I’ve dined at this restaurant for over 20 years. The first 10-15 years showed nothing but consistency in the taste and seasoning of food; however, over the last 5+ years, the food is never quite the same each time I go. One minute it’s great and the next it’s good and terrible. My last visit was definitely on the good and terrible side. The service is usually pretty good, so that is the one thing I can say has consistently remained the same, but not the same for the food.
I would recommend Landrys hpwever my experience on father's day was subpar...the appetizer was on the salty side bit edible...I was disappointed my my server...he neber asked what dressing we would like on on salads ..he had already tossed it in a dressing neither person liked..his comment ... the dressing was standard but he could change it info liked...I kept the salad...then when our entrees came my pasta was cold and the side for the snapper entree was also "standard". Id like them to know everyone does like standard salad dressing or standard broccoli. Next time it would be nice to ask.
Outstanding service and excellent food. Landry's is always clean and staff treated us well. We sat outside the view was nice looking at the water. Thanks for making my Husband Father's Day special.
It's been awhile since we have been to landry's and it didn't take long to remember how much we liked it. We had a beverage and a appetizer in the bar and then we had dinner outside. The seafood was wonderfull.
Restaraunt clean and quiet. Ambience fantastic. Waitress hardly came by the table. There were not too many people in the place, so I am not sure why she wasnt around to refill our empty glasses. We waited a while for our bill once our meal was done, and then waited again for her to pick up our payment. We have eaten at this chain in another state and was really excited to eat good seafood again. However it was just "ok". We felt the food was not worth the expensive price we paid.
It was a very pleasurable experience. Great food and great service. Would definitely recommend!
Went for my mom's bday and it was really really nice !!! She enjoyed it so much and Dan was amazing !!! Food was awesome. Great ambiance and cant wait to go back
Swordfish was overcooked. Crab cake mostly stuffing. Service very slow.Oysters Rockefeller was outstanding. Old fashion too many flavors while trying to do something different. Overall 5 out of 10 disappointing
Love the food . It was excellent. Our waitress was really good and not too obtrusive. I do wish they would have a little more room between tables.
Our service was phenomenal! The host sat us down when we arrived and the waitress did a wonderful job! Food was great and my family enjoyed our meal!
was not a good experience at all. food was not what i expected
Outstanding find in St Louis. Great to sit outside. Our grandson loves the fire display in the fountain.
The meal was ok Not great but not horrible. Maybe a touch overpriced for the quality of meat they use for ribeyes. I would probably not eat here again given other choices in the area just based on the food vs. price standpoint. The service was great and it was a pretty cool place. I’m sure it will look really neat when all the construction around it is done.
Our server was great but service was very slow, as she was the only person working inside. My steak was incorrectly prepared twice.
My experience at Laundry's this past week was fantastic. The occasion was my wife's birthday and it went perfectly. Our waiter Danny as well as our host were most informative. I explained to both that it had been awhile since I was last at Laundry's but would make it a point to return more frequently. That is when they informed me about the loyalty program in which I joined. oh and by the way the food was great.
Thanks again Laundry's!
Service and food delivery was extremely slow.
Two of our fish meals were undercooked. Two were supposed to be blackened and weren’t. Server pretty much disappeared once the plates were brought to our table. It took way too long to get our bill and then get it paid.
Service was very slow and kept us from our scheduled meetings.
We had 7 pm reservations. We did get seated until 720 pm. Manager had no sense of urgency to get us seated, every time we asked about our table he said it will be just a moment. There were several open tables so I don’t understand why we had to wait 20 minutes! There were employees standing around talking to each other including the manager. Once we got seated our waitress was very hospitable & pleasant. The waitress gave us great customer service!
Our waiter was awesome. Food was great. The only drawback was the extra wait after reserving a table for a certain time.
I made a reservation for this place for Mother’s Day because I had a full preplanned day and intended to stick to my schedule. My reservation was for 5:30 and I arrived on time. I was told all reservations were 15 minutes behind schedule. It took 30 minutes to be seated. It took another 15-20 minutes to get our drinks after we ordered them. By this time we really don’t have time to relax and enjoy an entree without feeling rushed. So we opted for appetizers and soup. After waiting another 10-20 minutes for our food my crawfish bisque came out cold. At this point I am already disgusted by the entire experience. So I said just forget it and I decided to send it back. The crab artichoke dip had absolutely no flavor. The only thing that was good was the oyster trash bar. 1 out of 6 items including our drinks was good and that is terrible! To top it all off they had us and others with reservations waiting when there were tons of empty tables. So I’m not sure why we were waiting at all. The drinks weren’t even good. I spent $80 and enjoyed 1 item. I will never return and I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone else either.
We reserved a table and didn’t get seated at the right time.
