The service made the meal. Ask for Victoria. She was very attentive and made great recommendations. She understood the menu and was helpful all night. The appetizer we ordered was a tower of crab, lobster, oysters and shrimp. It was fantastic. My daughter had something off the kids menu, my two boys had crab legs and stuffed mahi tuna. I had a steak and my wife had sea bass. All were very good. I can’t tell you how much we enjoyed the meal and the service. I’ve only been to Landry’s a couple of times. Both visits were very good.
Order was wrong
For the price the food was par
Service was poor slow
Not the experience I expected
Service was ok l, food was good but the restrooms were a mess.
This was our first time and the place didn’t leave a good first impression. Table was messy, had trash on it. Waitress was not attentive. Made reservations and I think we were seated in the worst possible spot with a pillar obstructing our view. Food was good.
Felt a little rushed. Alcohol menus were taken away so we couldn’t order any more. Over all good but i wouldn’t come again.
Quality of raw material good. Quality of “cuisine” reasonable. Quality of service poor. ( we were four. Waiter started to bring a dish for one of us. 5’ later another one of our table was served. Other 5’ passed before the rest of the group was served. Moreover the table had problems of stability. Three times we had to remind the waiter about it. Finally he came with a piece of paper to fix it, but he was not succesful. As we were towards the end of the dinner, we gave up and we finished with a table still rolling. Last but not list, when the check was issued, was containing a wine bottle more expensive than the one that delivered. And we had to request to re-issue the check.....in all that not a single apology for what happened
It took my server 23 minutes to get our table water. The kids food was delivered before our initial drink order was delivered, which took 33min. That’s absurd for a simple mixed drink, it doesn’t matter how busy you are. We will not go back to this location.
Great spot on the Riverwalk with plenty of cuisine options. We had the Ahi and the Fettucini with shrimp which were both great. Large portions actually, so we ended up with a to-go box. Curtis was an attentive server even though the Saint Patricks Day crowds were out in full force.
Very awful experience with Landry's. The service was by far the worse I've ever experienced. We were quickly seated but it took approx 60 minutes for us to receive our entrees, the appetizers that we order never arrived and our food was lukewarm and very quickly went cold. Our waiter would disappear for 15-20 minutes at a time. At one point it was so bad that we had started asking other waiters for assistance. We asked to speak with a manager and that was another 40 minute wait. We addressed all of our issues with the manager that was duty and told him that this experience was not a pleasant one and that we would not be coming back or recommending this particular Landry's to any friends. After we left we ran into another patron that was seated near us and they told us that their experience was just as bad as ours.
I really enjoyed the food and the service was great. There was live music being played upstairs so that was fun to hear.
They claim to have pet friendly tables but we were seated at a table between the river and the pedestrian walkway. Our dog had to sit in the flowerbed or risk being stepped on.
Very busy evening. Ran out of several items. Staff did a great job compensating for the snafu
Alavara was a fantastic waiter/host. The chef even made my husband crab cakes that were not in the menu. We had a terrific family dinner experience.
NEVER AGAIN. WAITSTAFF WAS HORRIBLE FOOD WAS WAY OVER PRICED
Attentive wait staff, great food and a wonderful ambiance.
If I could leave less than one star for Landry’s in San Antonio, I’d do it. With so many other fine dining opportunities in and around the River Walk and Alamo, including other seafood restaurants such as The Chart House and Boudro’s, don’t waste your time or money at Landry’s.
Friday evening dinner could not be more obnoxious than with the blaring loud live music which, it seems no place in the restaurant was immune from. The waiter said Saturdays and Sundays are the same. Throw in other diners and the roar is so loud you cannot hear your dinner companion.
Our meals were messed up in the kitchen, with seafood toppings of one dinner erroneously placed on the other diner’s entree. Appetizers arrived AFTER the entrees, too. To the credit of the waitstaff and hostess, they were all profusely apologetic for the noise and the kitchen mistakes.
All in all, a very sub-par dining experience. For the price, take your money and your date and dine elsewhere.
Tasty meal with excellent service & great meal. Perfect for business dinner.
Poor food and poor service. Won’t go back.
Excellent service we got that night, the waiter was great!
My husband and I were visiting San Antonio for my birthday and I chose this restaurant for my birthday celebration dinner. Very friendly staff with a nice waiter. Our food came very quickly even though it was a Saturday night and they were very busy. Good food and plenty of it!
I would recommend lunch there also as we have been there a few time for that.
We were on vacation.Totally wonderful experience! Loved everything about the food, wine and service. Would return in a heartbeat.
The food was very good and my guests enjoyed their meals and drinks very much. it was close to the hotel
poor service, over priced for small portions of food
Service was really slow. Food was great. A second waiter stopped by and gave us excellent wine suggestions.
Landry's is one of my favorite restaurants in San Antonio. Enjoyed everything! a Must Go Place
We really enjoyed dining at Landry’s! The lobster tail, wedge salad and baked potatoe were delicious, as was also the Creme Brûlée. We will go back often. One downside is that the pace was hectic and the layout is a bit tight.
We had a good time, and the food was great. Our server was ok, and we are used to getting really good service when we go. He forgot the spoon for my friend's gumbo and said he would be right back with it, but we had to flag down a bus boy to get us one after 5-7 minutes. He only came back 3 more times to bring our food, ask if we wanted dessert, and then bring our ticket. Like I said, we are used to really good service, so this was not typical. The band playing in the bar area was fabulous!
Delicious food, beautiful view amazing service but very loud music.
Food was ordinary as were the drinks. The service was not acceptable. We had to ask the manager for assistance as server as not attentive.
Food was good. Fish is flashed frozen. U can’t tell it’s not fresh. It was delicious. Waiter was a little overwhelming trying to sell everything on the menu. Place is also very loud, but we had a river view table which was nice even though we were all locals I’d go back.
Had dinner here while visiting San Antonio. It was Super Bowl night, so it was quiet, which was perfect for us. Great service, and highly recommend the tempura lobster bites. If we visit San Antonio again, we will return for sure.
We arrived for Happy Hour at the Riverwalk Landry’s and enjoyed excellent bar service with very tasty food options. A trio arrived. At first we were concerned about noise level. However, we were absolutely delighted to enjoy the sounds of three time Grammy winner Joe Posada . We went downstairs and enjoyed an outstanding meal. My husband’s pan seared Ahi was just right as was my Crab stuffed Mahi. We decided to go back upstairs and enjoyed more drinks, met some interesting folks from Sacramento celebrating birthdays and conversation with Joe Posada. We enjoyed a perfect evening , closing the place dancing to great music. We couldn’t have planned a better night celebrating my husband’s birthday.
Good food and the river walk is nice to dine by if the weather permits.
My husband and I were in San Antonio for the weekend to celebrate my birthday and I belong to the Landry Club and wanted to start my visit at Landry's on the Riverwalk. It has a wonderful vibe, friendly, lively music upstairs while we ate downstairs and a great menu. Our fresh oysters were amazing, plump, fresh and very good. My husband's Cedar Planked Salmon was perfectly cooked as was my Grilled Trout with Jumbo Crab Meat. We drank J Lohr Falcon Perch Pinot Noir that went perfectly with both dishes and shared a delicious Creme Brulee with a Latte and Capuccino for dessert. Great service from Lorenzo who was knowledgeable about the wines!
Table located next to window in view of the riverwalk. Server was very attentive. Food was exceptional, although pricey!
The restaurant was very busy and we were seating quickly so that’s always appreciated. The meal was good not great and the service was attentive but not really trained well. For example, the waiter pulled out a crumb catcher to clean the table cloth. Cool move but he faked it - he just moved the crumbs around. The food was standard fare steak and seafood and my ribeye was a 6 outta ten. It’s in a busy spot so it’s a touristy spot and stays busy. Location location location.
Great food and service for a business dinner.
Landrys is one of our favorite river walk locations. We had a good meal as always, but our waiter Will was out of this world. A true rock star, I highly recommend you ask for him, you won't be disappointed.
Great food at a great location, overlooking the river walk. Server was very personable, but there was too much selling. For awhile I felt we were at a preview for time shares. The rest of the evening was fine.
Very impressed with food and service as well as ambience.
