Landry's Seafood House - San Antonio

The quality of the food was horrible. Landry's has changed over the years. Service was poor for the amount of money spent.
Had the Chilean Sea Bass and it was very good. The Bayou Tea was the best Long Island Ice Tea type I have ever had!
Nice evening, the service was excellent, and the food was great, very nice restaurant along the Riverwalk.
Great experience. Attentive staff with excellent recommendations.
Great service and food
Poor service, we arrived puntual for our reservation at 8,30 pm, we were 9 people, amd the waitress start to take our order at 9 and that because we were impacient and a little hungry. To bring the beverages tooked so long, she bring the bill without consulting us and we haven’t ask for the dessert yet, at 10,30 she starting to hurry us up because its supposed that the restaurant permit 2 hours only to have a meal. We wanted to stayed more time there but we couldnt. We definitly dont get back there.
This was our first time at Landry's. We were seated a few minutes after arrival. We had great service from Jason who explained everything. Jason kept refilling our drinks, was happy to answer questions and he asked if we wanted desert and made suggestions. Excellent service, great tasting food and location. This restaurant was far better than the Chart House.
New Year’s Eve
We were there for new years eve. Wait staff was awesome, esp. with our kids. Highly recommended!
Very good food!
Great food in a nice location along San Antonio Riverwalk
Our food was cold when served and was terrible overall. I would not recommend for the price you pay for the quality of food you get.
It’s okay to dine at Landry’s San Antonio only 1 time per year, after that, terrible experience.
There are many places to eat in San Antonio. Skip this one.
i took my bride to dinner here and she was amazed at the great tasting food and customer service.
Waiter was nice but terrible. Asked for bread 5 times before he brought it. Took over an hour to get appetizers and then another hour for dinner. They overcooked my son's Ahi tuna and he never came to ask how dinner was so there was no opportunity to ask for one that was cooked correctly. Overall the food was very average and the music was so LOUD you couldn't even speak to each other and the band was on the 2nd floor and we were on the 1st.
Our steaks were grilled to perfection!! Our party of 9 loved all the food, excellent service and our drinks were never empty!!! First time at The Riverwalk location and enjoyed the ambiance so much!!!
Our last dinner in San Antonio....a waiter dropped an entire serving plate of waters on my mother's head. They were very apologetic and the manager went above and beyond to fix the issue but there was not much they tried to do to dry her off or calm her down
Even though I had a reservation it still took almost 20 mins to be seated. Waiter never brought out bread. Fish was over done and on par with any chain meal. Salad was just a whole quarter chunk of the head with almost no accoutrements on it. Better places to go to.
Nope, never again.
Excellent waiter. Will was very attentive and knowledgeable. Very prompt service. My mother who finds fault with everything was very impressed.
Christmas Day dinner was wonderful
Great Christmas Day lunch. Server was great. Only disappointment was served ice cold bread pudding.
We have made a tradition of having Christmas Eve dinner at Landry's RiverWalk and book one or two months in advance requesting our favorite table or a table as close as possible with a view of the river. This year we were disappointed in that the staff permitted a party of TWO to move themselves to a table for FOUR on one of the busiest nights for the restaurant. I am miffed that the matre d' did not inform the couple that there was a reservation of four for that table and to re-seat the couple at a table for two a few feet away.
Very good experience. Definitely would like to come again.
The only problem we had was with parking That is not a problem specific to Landry's but is to the entire River Walk area during busy times. It would be beneficial for the river walk restaurants to petition the City to make better mass transit options from large parking centers, and to have officers directing traffic and helping people find available parking.
The Chilean Bass is great! The scallops are great! Oysters on the half shell are superb!
Excellent, great service and excellent food.
Great food great service.
Birthday Jesus was a great server
Landry's is a nice restaurant with good ambiance. However, the food was average. Service was very good. This is the third time at this restaurant and food was better on previous visits. May try it again.
The service was rushed. The food was disappointing. The cedar plank salmon was served on a plank that was burned to a crisp - solid black back and front except the spot where the salmon was. It smelled like a smoking fireplace. I should have sent it back. My wife’s was the same. $107 plus tip for a sorry meal.
The restaurant was very busy and loud. We had two servers because they both thought our table was in their section. Asked the same questions. Ordered appetizers and a salad and steak. They brought our steaks before our salad. The steaks were barely warm. We were offered a free dessert but we didn’t want a dessert. They finally took our shrimp appetizer that we shared off of our bill.
Fish was uncooked when brought to table. Below average meal overall
Awesome service and seated us 1hr before our reservation. They repeatedly asked us how we were doing and even the GM came to visit. We had a great meal and were blessed to get a DVet discount.
We will definitely return.
Good food. The online Menu is different from the menu at the restaurant, but our waiter asked the cook to make it and they did. The food was pricey but tasted good. The only two complaints would be excessive noise and it was very crowded tablewise. could not move through the restaurant without sliding through areas. Our conversation was very hard to hear because of the noise levels.
They refused to give us a table because we arrived late 15 minutes, although they had many empty tables from which they gave us one of them after 1 hour
We were celebrating our 39 year anniversary, which I let them know and requested a nice table. We were assigned a booth a booth in a corner behind the area where waiters put their orders, without visibility to the River Walk.
The food was fair, not what I was expecting. The wedge salad was very poor, the Red fish was over-cooked very hard, the toppings were good, the scallops my wif had were good, the crepe-brûlée just ok and the coffee from a dripping machine tasted reheated. We had 3 glasses of (5 ounces)Chardonnay & Pino Grillo white low quality wine for $31, there were only 3 choices of wine by the glass ($9 to $13)
The waiter, a nice lady, was overwhelmed I asked for Tabasco sauce for my oysters, we wait and wait and the Tabasco never show up, we end up eating the the oysters without Tabasco. The water my wife requested without ice came with ice to the tope. The main dish arrived 30 min after my salad. Some of these issues I could pass in a restaurant where the meal is $25/$35 per person.
The cost of the meal was $146.79 plus $20 tip.
Definitely a $ 166.79 2 person meal of 3 glasses of wine, one shared appetizer (6 oysters), two main dishes, a shared desert and two coffees with very bad service is an abuse!! :(
Fantastic service and amazing food!! Did. It disappoint.
