Landry's Seafood House - San Antonio

Great restaurant, Josie the GM was kind enough to recook our lobsters that were accidentally over cooked. Great dirty blue cheese martinis!!!
We had a great time at Landry‘s. Roger was our waiter and he did an awesome job. The food was delicious as always 💕
I ordered the Seabass special... end it was heavenly!
Sat downstairs as live music upstairs was very loud. Great good. Waiter got an element of the order wrong but did best to make amends and overall service was good.
Server did not introduce himself and seemed distract and upset each time he came to the table. Gumbo was more bland than normal. Manager was helpful and more available than my waiter.
Server working the outdoor river walk tables was incredibly and unapologetic about the wait time. We waited 20 minutes before we were greeted by the server and given water and bread. He said “If y’all want to leave, y’all can leave” with a loud voice. My wife and I walked away because we didn’t want to spend our anniversary dinner with such a rude waiter. It was at 9pm 5/12/19, the waiter had a bandage on his middle finger of the right hand, Hispanic, with hair slid back. I regret I was not able to get his name. But hopefully this review gets to the restaurant management and they do something about it so it doesn’t happen to someone else.
We ate outside along the river. Salads first. Spinach excellent, Caesar bland. Dinner of red snapper and sea bass excellent.
Excellent service and meal - we will definitely go back!
Great stop before Majestic show. Were great with our Gluten Free needs. Because it was also Mother’s Day, staff seemed a little worn out but expected. Would go again pre-show.
No special menu as advertised by Open Table for Mothers day. Last time I used Open Table, price was higher for food than advertised by Open Table. I will not use Open Table reservation any more!!
seafood plate was way over priced the portion was very small for $29.95 it should be $12.95 it was mainly fries and onion rings my wife was very disappointed especially mothers day
The service was very slow and when we got our food it was over cooked I had ribeye steak and my dad had the lobster both were overdone
It took awhile to be served but once I was it was all good. Presentation for most dishes could be better but great job on the Oysters and food was all good. The Martini's were great.
Broiled seafood plate had no flavor at all. Crab legs were good and good size and as usual expensive. Way too expensive for less than average food and small portions for the price.
Would def recommend Landry's for a night out or celebrating with a significant other. For qas plated nicely but lack in flavor. Steak was tender and made to order. Lobster, red snapper and scallops were all cooked perfectly again only negative thing is flavor or seasoning. The seafood gumbo I would pass on they next time. It was made in a beef gravy kinda of broth or bouillon base. Through me off! A little pricey but still worth taking my favorite person to. Thanks to Open Table for getting us a quiet booth!
When our delicious food came, the downpour was close and we asked our waiter if there was room inside but no table was available. We were under an umbrella table but the pouring rain came under and we had to gulp our food and then get inside. I had to squeeze the water out of my dress. Perhaps the waiter could have sat us at the bar to finish our food. The food was delicious but would like to have been able to enjoy it. The bartender gave me a napkin to dry my face. A free drink may have been nice. The atmosphere before the storm was delightful with the river view, boats, lights and music.
I enjoyed the meal - I ordered two appetizers for my full evening meal -1 cold 1 hot. The problem was the hot was delivered about 3 minutes after I got my cold plate - so the hot was pretty cool when I got to start eating. The waiter commented about it but did nothing,
Have been to many Landry's across the country, including the riverwalk location several times over many many years. This is the first time 3 out of 4 dishes were not very good. Disappointing. Bland, Dry, poorly seasoned. Not the type to criticize normally.
Very much enjoyed our meal and the atmosphere at Landry's. We had the almond encrusted Mahi Mahi and it was delicious. We especially enjoyed the time outside during our meal, people watching. The mood was festive, and we saw some very interesting folks pass by. Our waiter was Carlos, who did a very good job of keeping us pleased and our glasses filled. The Marguerita (sp) we enjoyed in the lounge before going to our table was spot on, delicious, one of the best drinks I ever had. We will definitely go to Landry's again at our next opportunity. No better way to celebrate wedding anniversary #56 than good seafood at Landry's and the riverwalk!
My waiter ignored our table because he was so busy chatting with another. The crab cake was all filler. My salad had no dressing. My seat had chocolate all over it and it got all over me.
Love eating here on the riverwalk. My husband and I always get a table right on the river (just a little more romantic). Food was great! Jason, our waiter was wonderful.
Great location on the river. Food and service was excellent. Bar was unable to make my drink, due to not having the necessary ingredients. The location of our table was near where the silverware must have been sorted, very loud. Might want to move that station into the kitchen.
The food is great and service is impeccable. I loved the oysters new dish and they happen to have the best blue crab cakes out there. A must place to come and eat, plus they are located on the riverwalk and how wonderful is that for people watching while enjoying your food.
Food was good. Our service was very poor compared to other landry’s i’ve been to. The didn’t even bother to check our OT reservation that noted we were celebrating a special occasion.
We enjoyed our dinner very much , nothing but good things to say and share !
Excellent meal...snapper and cedar plank salmon cooked to perfection. Ivy, our server, was attentive and knowledgable...
Food was good and service received from the waiter was excellent. The hostess was rude and didn't seem to handle stress well. Even though we had a reservation, the table was not ready.
Landry’s is right on the Riverwalk and you can sit outside along the river, which is nice, if you’re into that. The seafood options are very good. Don’t order a steak. They seemed to have a really hard time cooking a steak to medium temperature (bright pink throughout). The first steak they brought out was over-cooked, second was undercooked. They seem more concerned with getting perfect grill marks on the steak than on cooking it to the requested temperature. That said, the service was amazing. They didn’t charge us for the steak, and were attentive all evening.
Great seafood and great service at a reasonable price! Superb attention was given to our party of 6 from the time we arrived until departure. I highly recommend Landry's Seafood House as a treat on the San Antonio Riverwalk.
We always love Landry's, when I saw this one on the River walk even better. Great food and service as always.
This time when we went, we had a bad waiter. He tried to tell our group they couldn't have what they wanted. Very rude. We had to just grab a passing waiter to reorder our drinks.
Good and service was excellent.
I visited your Riverwalk restaurant in San Antonio Texas. We eat outside it was very noisy, the service was very slow and the food was average at best. It was not at all what we expected.
Crab legs where not good very very salty coming from Florida could tell they where frozen and salted
The food was good but lacking based on the price....more seasoning. Great drinks!
Great patio on the river walk. Definitely recommend eating outside!
Waiter was way too high energy for a mature couple looking for a quiet evening. Started selling the Landry Group deal on delivery of first food - totally off key. I want to eat my oysters, not listen to a sales pitch. Speaking of oysters (New Orleans style roasted oysters), 5 of the 6 were of inferior size. We're talking a pricey dish, they should know better than use teeny tiny oysters - even when smothered in tasty ingredients. Our planked red fish was over cooked, dry. Paid a $3 upcharge each for asparagus substitute for green beans - received 2 spears of asparagus each for the upcharge. Really? I love Landry's, one of my favorite spots around the country & will return, but this experience didn't go well.
Mixed review. Snapper was pretty good, shrimp was average. Inside host was very welcoming, outside host was rude. Server was excellent
Oysters on the half shell cut at the base and very fresh. Redfish with shrimp and lobster, fantastic. Pair with Cakebread Sauvignon blanc. Finish with Keylime pie.
