Landry's Seafood House - San Antonio
Book your next event with us
Excelente todo, es uno de mis lugares favoritos en San Antonio
It was just okay. I said I would recommend to a friend but I tell that it just okay.
Asparagus was undercooked and lacked flavor. Lobster tail was over cooked, dry and chewy. Atmosphere was quite loud and a little cramped. Service was great, waiter was very attentive.
This may be due to being located on the Riverwalk and it being Spring Break weekend but we did not have a very good experience. There were 7 in our party and we had to wait 20 minutes for drinks and then they forgot to bring a soda for one of the guests. We had to ask the waiter and a hostess 2 times to get the soda. The food while delicious, seemed to be just slung on the plate - it not very attractive. One of our dinner orders had an error and it took another 10 minutes to get our waiter to let him know about the problem. We spent close to 300.00 and about 2 1/2 hours on this dinner and it just wasn't worth it. If you are planning on bringing a cake to celebrate an event - know that they charge you 25.00 to do so. Our waiter didn't charge us this fee - I think he knew service was terrible.
Amazing menu, outstanding server named Will, gracious ambiance. Food a bit pricey. Our bill was $85 for 2 of us and we had no extras and drank water. Worth the visit but be prepared to pay.
Landry's on the Riverwalk is a prime location. We sat outside overlooking the water. Our server was very knowledgeable on the food and wine. The food was good but nothing special. We will definitely return.
Friendly staff great food and very clean
We had dinner on the 1st floor (reservations). Great food and service (Devon was excellent). However, the music was extremely loud. We asked the waiter to close the doors as we could not even hear each other talk.
There was a band near us, but we loved it!! Cannot remember our waiters name. Mike maybe? He is the best waiter I have EVER had. The manager spoke to us and was so friendly! Drinks were good. I’d go back over and over again if I lived in SA.
Food was outstanding as always.
What can I say from the moment we arrived to the time we departed everything about this establishment was outstanding.
My father is disable and is in the wheelchair and I saw a waiter outside taking a smoke break. I asked where is the best place we can enter with my dad and he immediately put out his cigarette and not only assisted us through the correct door but got my dad onto the elevator and to his sit. I felt bad for the waiter because I interrupted his break and apologized for doing that but the waiter was such an outstanding gentleman. After we were seated they made my entire party feel welcomed.
The food was outstanding. My party of 6 was more than satisfied on the quality and portions of the food.
Both the waiter and the manager went out of their way to congratulate my son for his graduation from the USAF BMT, they even gave him a free desert.
Without a doubt the poorest service we have had since leaving on January 3rd for a trip across the country. The maitre'd's station was one of the worst we have ever experienced and led to a mediocre table where the hostess couldn't speak English. It took five (5) different waiters to finally take our order, followed by a thirty minute wait for our wine. When I tried to talk with the manager on duty he had NO interest and walked away from the conversation.
Yes I would recommend Landry’s, it was our first time dining at this establishment and we enjoyed it.
Service & food were excellen! It was all very good!! We’ll be back
Wonderful service. Little wait time after being seated at a busy hour. Food delicious. Waiter was friendly, knowledgeabl and efficient though seemed to try too hard to sell us a rewards program of Landry’s businesses and affiliates.
Good food. It took over an hour from our reservation time until food was on the table.
Dinner before a play. Using Birthday gift card for dinner.
Great food and good service. Server was very pleasant and attentive to our needs.
Very good lobster tail was excellent and the crawfish at two Faye is first rate if they have a crawfish bread get that also
Innovative menu... delicious red snapper and mahi mahi!
We went there on Saturday evening3/2/2019. I ordered a cup of seafood gumbo and seafood pasta. My wife ordered crusted Mahi Mahi. The waiter was pushy and tried to up-sell everything (even the iced tea!) and talked over us when we declined the up-sell. My gumbo was 80% white rice (who serves gumbo with rice already in it anyway?), 10% roux (just enough to cover the rice) and a couple of boiled pre-cooked shrimp dropped on the top. Same for my so-called seafood pasta - the pasta was dry with a couple of the same pre-cooked boiled shrimp and a couple of pre-cooked boiled jelly-bean size scallops dropped on the top, i.e.: the "seafood" was not cooked in with the pasta, just added before serving. My wife's crusted Mahi Mahi was served dry on top of a bed of dry pre-cooked boiled white rice - no juices, no flavor, just a dry piece of fish plopped onto a dry bed of pre-cooked boiled white rice. The waiter was too busy fawning over other larger tables with drinkers to even re-fill my tea and my wife's water glass, and just breezed by to drop off the check and a perfunctory "Have a nice day" as he walked by. And for all this we got to pay about $75 dollars for what turned out to be a tourist rip-off along the River Walk in San Antonio. This is a black eye for Landry's, the River Walk, and the Tillman Fertitta organization to allow this to happen in one of his restaurants. Obviously someone is not minding the store.
Amazing service, delicious food, a nice atmosphere but expensive. Overall great place to splurge on dinner!
For beginners I didn’t receive all my appetizers ordered. The food was over cooked. The fish and the toppings were dry. The baked potatoe was burned. I paid extra for the Landry topping and it was barely any on there. The server was ok. But, the food was NOT worth the money spent at all.
Khole took very goodcare of us!
Delicious food and very nice ambiance.
Excellent Meal and Timing of Service was Outstanding.
The waiter Michael was amazing and very friendly, food was amazing as usual. This is my new favorite restaurant!! Can't wait to come back:)
Steaks were overdone ,dry and cold.
I couldn't even eat the green beans. They tasted and smelled horrible. The smashed potatoes were okay but cold. Very disappointed for a 100$ meal.
Service was great. For the price of the food, I expected better. I would jot suggest this restaurant to my family ir friends.
As an out of towner, female, and eating dinner solo on a Friday night, my expectations for good service were low, but I knew I could count on a good meal from Landry's. I was delighted when my server, Julia, went out of her way to make me feel comfortable. Listening to other servers interact with the guests at their tables revealed the same level of attention - kudos to the Landry's staff. The food, on the other hand, was disappointing. The Char-Broiled Oysters were large and juicy, but utterly tasteless. The Seafood Trash was served on a foot-long white platter with a small pile of seafood on one end and a small pile of white rice on the other, and a whole lot of white emptiness in between. The comment when delivered was, "That's it?"! Note these were both listed as appetizers, so perhaps my mistake was not ordering a single entree instead.
Did not have first selection if swordfish at 6:00 pm, very noisy, and not worth the money
Delicious seafood and great romantic atmosphere. On the Riverwalk with a good selection of music to enjoy
Celebrated 5th year anniversary. The whole experience was excellent
This restaurant is just above a Applebees. My wife and I dined here and I found the gumbo to be barely edible, she found the Caesar salad to be the same and we left most of both items on the plate. Next she got a steak and I got a combo fish and shrimp. Her steak was room temperature and not juicy at all. My combo reminded me of how Applebee's would give you tiny shrimp and over cook them and also the fish. Cannot recommend. Also the cocktails totally sucked.
Went here for a work dinner with small group and overall everyone enjoyed their meals, appetizers, and drinks. The best part of meal was a great server who knew her stuff, she was always making suggestions and offering a good upsell. Coming from the sales world, she was awesome at her job and made the meal very enjoyable for all of us. The Crawfish bread was something I had not had before and we all thought it was flavorful. Also had the oysters, which were fresh and tasty. I ordered the redfish with crawfish topping. Also cooked perfectly and had great taste and light spice. Couple of the guys had steaks and they liked but did not love them. Great place for seafood dishes and recommend any as the Landry's group usually does a nice job.
the reservation was spot on, booth as we requested , and great location. The waiter (Roger) was knowledgeable and very engaged. We started with Lobster bisque which was OK but ive certainly had better. The mains were very slow in getting out to out tables after the soup, im guessing at least 30 minutes. I had the lobster tail which was good and well spiced but some butter would have been nice. As well, I had a side of Pasta and it was dry, not too appealing
We waited thirty minutes even with a reservation, then we didn’t get anything requested, Lemon, extra dressing, bread etc. then we asked for our salads WITH our oysters and they brought our salads out first but they were ceasers and we ordered wedge salads. Then an HOUR later our server comes over and says “we ran out of oysters 20 minutes ago haha but don’t worry my manager isn’t going to charge you for them, do you want dessert” ...... we didn’t get dinner and then they tried to make us pay for our salads as well. NOPE. Worst experience I’ve ever had at any restaurant and this is 4-5 star place. I wish I could give negative stars. It was our last night and San Antonio and we were so excited for oysters. Very disappointed.
The food was great! We had appetizers, desert and coffee. Our server Glenda was waiting tables for everyone and managed all of it well. It got louder as more people showed up ordering large quantities of drinks. Check please! Yes, of course I would recommend it to others. We're LSC participants.
Walked in for a table and was told a two hour wait. Opened the open table app and got seated in four minutes. Long waits at the table and lots of haphazard service. Our server was great but seemed spread thin.
We were fortunate to have a table away from the opening to the upstairs bar area which had a live band playing. The band looked as they were placed against the stairwell and the sound carried about halfway through the restaurant portion. We were having a hard time hearing the hostess yelling that our table was ready due to the noise level of the band. Everything else was fantastic.
