We recently had our Engagement dinner there this past Friday 11/13, and it was beautiful! The service was excellent and wait staff was so attentive and nice. The manager was so accommodating to our rather than large party. The food and drinks were amazing as well!
Steaks were great; however, other entrees were barely warm when served. Portion sizes for sides were very small. Not really worth the higher prices.
We enjoyed everything at Saltgrass. It was our Anniversary treat to ourselves. Server was excellent! We will return.
The food was outstanding as usual but the french fries were luck warm. This is the 2nd time.
Expensive and was a ghost town. Portion small, big price.
Great experience, good food, the waiter was attentive.
Off the HOOK GOOD!!!
Took our grandma to dinner and our service was so awesome.
The meal, service, and experience were perfect for our meal.
Abby was great. But she had to apologize again and again. Out of this and that and kitchen late with food..... support staff was very lacking.. food was ok at best..... a shrimp cocktail this close to the gulf was downright terrible.
The food was very bland and dry and the steak... a $18.00 .... 8 oz sirloin was so small that my little finger was bigger than the width of that steak it look like something you could have went down and got a Buffay or a western sizzler it was pathetic
Great food and experience as always
A little frustrating that folks entering and exiting refused to wear masks and that wasn’t enforced. Also, the place has an odd odor that seems like it needs the floors cleaned, stale food smell. All-in-all we enjoyed our evening, the food was a bit of o surprise, it was delicious!
Great food. Great service. Great atmosphere. Will definitely be back.
This is a good restaurant for casual dining with a nice diverse menu. The steaks were good...not the best I've ever had, but good for a mid-priced restaurant. The one thing I do think Saltgrass does better than most, is the salad. It was fresh and well chilled and I will definitely return for this dish alone!
For a steakhouse, we were expecting better. All 3 of the steaks that we ordered were bland and alittle over cooked. We did not send them back because it took too long to get them the first time. We sat outside, which had a nice view except for the cars that all thought they were on a nascar track. It did make for some entertainment. Overpriced for the quality. Our waitress was very nice though.
The food would have been better but it was cold. Will try again though
Food was fantastic
Great place to est
There were 6 of us and most were satisfied of the meals. My chopped steak was well done and I ordered Medium Rare. Other then that it was good. The Reservations were perfect. We stepped in the door and the young lady immediately took us to our table.
Great experience! Our server, Colton was very polite and friendly. Colton made several dinner selections that did not disappoint! He made our experience at Saltgrass over the top! 10/10.
It was my Birthday
The service was excellent. I had the rib eye steak which was good. My fiance had the Salmon Oscar or whatever it's name is. He got sick from eating it. I don't know if it was old or not cooked properly.
All good was cold, we took most food home.
This was our second visit here; the first was when the restaurant first opened several years ago. It took about 30 minutes for our drinks to come out and the food was just OK. I have to say that the petite filets were good (my husband and a friend ordered those), but the steak/shrimp dinner was not good. The steak was ordered as medium well and was more like medium rare; even with it being way undercooked, it was extremely tough. Hard to chew!! We had to ask for bread when bread was served to other tables upon their arrival. Our server did not ask if we wanted dessert or anything else--just brought the checks. Too many other good steak restaurants in this area, so we won't be going back any time soon.
This is the third time we’ve eaten her while on vacation and it’s still the beat in Pensacola. The staff is very courteous and since COVID-19 also very good at social distancing. All in all very clean and food is always perfect like every restaurant should be
We made a reservation on Open Table for 815pm. We arrived at 745pm just Incase. We had no trouble and were seated by 8pm. The restaurant was busy but social distancing measures were in effect. A very enjoyable experience.
Our service and food was excellent and the views of the water are nice.
Understanding this is not white tablecloth fine dining.....And there is the COVID drama.
The Salads came and 30 seconds later the entrees. The server apologized and blamed the kitchen! Bull! The server in concert with manager can do better! Maybe they were trying to get more throughput but it as a lame excuse! The 20oz ribeye looks like a 12 oz Walmart steak, thin cut and small, definitely not 20oz! We have been to several Saltgrass in Texas. This one is a distant cousin in quality and service! We will not be back and will spread that feeling. Considering the location near McGuires, and the soon to open Fin & Fork. This place may be doomed.
Great place. Great view. Good service. If you don't eat much salt though, tell them to go light on the steak seasoning. The steak was cooked to specks. Nice place overall.
Usually I give this 5 stars, but the service was lacking, the food was wrong, the mashed potatoes were not mashed, the serving size was big, and the food tasted ok, one steak was undercooked, so I would say average for this trip. Maybe they do better once they open back up fully, but this visit was lacking.
The staff is incredibly friendly and fast, which is probably the best part of the experience. The food was over seasoned and very salty, and the cuts of meat weren’t the greatest (you’d think it’d be better for a steakhouse). The cheesecake was fantastic though, and the cocktails were good but overpriced for how small the glass they come in.
There grilled salmon was delicious and hubby got the Tbone which was very good as well
The server Lisa P is very courteous and if something is wrong with your order coming from the kitchen is quick to fix it. I very much appreciate her.
Written with a generous dollop of forgivness during this adjustment time, still, underwhelmed to say the least. My first time at any Saltgrass, for starters, using OpenTable is no use, with our check-in 6:30 reservation, we still went to the bottom of the list, so skip the reservation of you decide to go. The restaurant was obviously under-staffed, it must be a stuggle for all restaurants at this time but if you are not ready to deliver the service, don't try. The veggies were undercooked and the smallest ribeye should not be offered, thin as a pancake and way over-seasoned, super salty - impossible to do medium rare. The wait staff was cordial and did the best they could, but still, not enough quality all around just yet. Should we return, it will be much later in the year and allow the restaurant to be better prepared.
Great as always!
This was the worst experience ever! The wait was ridiculous. We first off, didn’t get kids menus. One of us had to track someone down to get them. Our drink order took forever as far as not getting it taken when we sat down and we didn’t get straws and once again had to go find someone for them. Then, my sister didn’t get part of her order nor did my husband. We waited almost 2 hours for food. I will never, ever go here again nor recommend it to anyone.
I ordered steak and shrimp ordered the 8oz got a 6oz. My beer was 2 weeks past the best by date. I paid$5.25 for a out of date beer.
This was an excellent first visit back to Saltgrass since the quarantine. They had us appropriately spaced, hand sanitizer at the door, etc. The food was great and the service was terrific! Thank you Saltgrass!
