The food had no taste and the drinks were watered down.
Our outdoor dining was a great experience! We wanted our friends from Connecticut to experience the ambience of dining at our New Orleans Lakefront. We had outdoor seating and our server guided us to a table under the patio cover. It began to lightly drizzle but our meal was not interrupted since we were protected by the cover. Overall it was a great evening with the bonus of a light breeze. The food was great!!!
Service was nice, and the crawfish bread was the best I've ever had.
Typically it is good. Maybe due to recent Hurricane Ida stick was out of stock on everything I ordered: Jack Daniels, Makers Mark, oysters, and the management refused to substitute items for same price for Happy Hour. Food tastes this dsy.
Landry’s is consistently good drinks and food. Love the views!
It paid to go on a Tuesday! No lines, and lots of tables. We like to go just before sunset 🌅
Everything was great.
Loved sitting over the water and enjoying the red fish étouffée. The house wine was delicious and the service was very very good!
I stopped for lunch. The food was fine. It’s in a lovely area.
Food and ambiance was good. Was not waited on in a timely matter and another server had to find our server after we were seated for 15 minutes with no attendant.
Nice view over the lake. wonderful to sit on the terrace on a hot day. I was disappointed with my shrimp salad. I am used to shrimp salad with avocado and cilantro and lime juice.
Entering Landry's requires walking up two flights of outside stairs; the result provides diners with an outstanding view of lake Pontchartrain. Seating is both indoor and outdoor. In the summer, outdoor seating is good for sitting and drinking beer, and the indoor seating, which still provides an excellent view, is perfect for dinner. The seafood component of the menu is extensive, but there are alternatives for persons with an aversion to fish and shellfish. The atmosphere is good; the place can be a bit loud at times and the waiters are doing their best to keep the customers happy, although they are clearly understaffed (and they know it). The food is very tasty and very fresh. I had a blackened redfish with a topping; the topping was great but the fish did not have the blackened zing and was a bit overcooked. My wife had stuffed flounder; she loved it. She also really enjoyed the view and the overall ambiance (so did I...but she had the better view). Overall, an easy thumbs up. It is very much worth the visit.
It was such a nice place and to find a restaurant outside of the hustle and bussle of Bourbon Street was nice as well. The ambiance for an anniversary lunch on the lake was superb!
Food was to salty. BBQ shrimp sauce wasnt cooked right.
The waiters were exceptional in accommodating us all for my mother’s 88th birthday. The hostess even serenaded my mother. Great voice by the way. Great time was had by all
Everything was terrific!
Even though the restaurant had many people waiting Landry’s took us on time for our reservation time and accommodated our request for outside seating. Our waitress explained that service would be slow due to the crowds but we didn’t find service that slow. The food and drinks were very good. Had the fried fish dinner, Landry’s gumbo, fried shrimp platter and wedge salad. Also got the triple chocolate cake to end the meal.
Landry's has never been known for its outstanding food, but it is usually OK, but not a peak times. I was there last Sunday at 2 in afternoon and all was great. Went there last night at 6:15 and service was slow even though the customer load was not high. As the customer load increased, service became poor ... friendly but very s l o w. Gumbo too salty, one fish dish was great and one was dry. Veggies were overcooked. Calamari was as it should be. Drinks were outstanding ... well made.
We enjoyed our outing; however, understand my mother and spouse were initially put-off by the greeter. They felt overlooked and ignored, because the greeter did not acknowledge nor attempt to seat them in the order in which they arrived.
The meal was good. The seafood and andouille gumbo was tasty, a little salty probably due to the sausage.
Still, our visit was relaxing and nourishing. Nick, our waiter, did a great job!
The restaurant was beautiful. The view of the lake is worth mentioning. There is free parking right outside. Now the food.. For an atmosphere that perpetuated swank with table cloths and cloth napkins...not having a bread basket on the table was a warning. I had to ask for it. They were cuting corners..Be ready..our appetizer, a labeled sharable was not enough, for one, for that price. ..maybe my perceived portion is a lot bigger than most. So, I ordered the chilean sea bass, with an additional topping. Unfortunately, I had to fight with shrimp shells between my teeth and crust to get a perfect bite. The dirty rice was luke warm as if it wasn't microwaved enough for the platter and the vegetables, you can tell were from frozen, glassy and limpy. Nothing was fresh! The $50 tag, for just my entree was not worth it! I really hope that the quality of the food was not compromised because of the economy and pandemic. I was disappointed and will not return.
Food and atmosphere was perfect! Our server was friendly and efficient.
Fried food at its best! Onion strings, zucchini, fries all were breaded and fried to yumminess!!! Fish was fried to a crispy delight.
Service was super slow but we took it in stride.
Hamburger was nothing special. Just a normal burger.
If you’re looking for a fried food smorgasbord, THIS is your place.
Visiting New Orleans for the first time and I tried the Landry’s restaurants. I really found both had excellent food and service. I did enjoy the Landry’s on Lake Pontchartrain for its view and Decor. Beautiful
I had a nice time as usual. My dad and I were celebrating our birthdays. I just wish the family behind us had handle the noise their child was making.
Ambiance and service were great! Food was good not exceptional but the view out the side or front window is exceptional. Easy in and out and right on the lake so you can take a walk after dinner. Get there about an hour before sunset to enjoy the event!!
This was my first time going to Landry's at Lake Pontchartrain. I had made reservations and was a little late due to traffic but was seated promptly after arriving. The view of the lake was spectacular. The server was very friendly and attentive.
Flavorful food, quick seating, spacious, and beautiful view! Everyone was also very kind, loved it!
Great time as always.
Great place for outdoor eating and the fish is so good!!
Cloth napkins were very old and worn out. There was a used cloth napkin under our table when we were seated. Seats weren't clean. But food and service was very good.
Overall flavor of the food was good, however all the food was warm at best and my fish was overcooked. Which was odd because the food came out pretty fast. From seating to departure was about 45 min and that was with appetizer and entree.
An excellent place to go for good food and a great view.
The best food I’ve ever had in New Orleans i had a great dinner with my husband cheers to yall
Great food great service
Great service... But the food was not up to the caliper you would expect at this price point.
Excellent service by Heather!!!!Treated all of our party with respect and extra care. Friendly and made our birthday guest feel very special throughout the meal. We enjoyed everything!!! Landry's is our go to for very special celebrations.
My party really enjoyed themselves . The waitress was very attentive, she kept our glasses full.
The food was bland. Service was great love the scenery
