Landry's Seafood House - Myrtle Beach
Food and service was not worth the money spent. Food was very bland.
We had a reservation for 7:45. We got there and checked in. We were told they were running behind 20 minutes. We waited 30 minutes and were seated. Our drink orders were taken. We had salad bread 20 minutes later and then waited another 25 minutes for entrees to arrive. Waitress took forever to return to bring us the bill. We realized it was a busy night with Valentine’s Day but it wasn’t a very enjoyable experience. Food was just okay and service was lacking. When we arrived there were numerous empty tables which indicated they were understaffed. Food is quiet pricey for quality. We will not be returning.
Poor service. Waited over an hour after our reservation time to get a table. Even though there were empty tables they had dishes on them creating a backlog of hungry customers. Waitress was over worked so again extremely slow service. Management needs to get it together and have enough employees to handle its customers
It was Valentines Day which is why we made the reservation. We arrived for our 7:15 reservation only to be told they were running a little behind. We waited 20 minutes and still no seat so I approached the hostess stand and was told I was # 3 on the list, then I watched and counted as 6 more parties were seated so I again approached the hostess and I told her I was #3 on the least and 6 parties had been seated , she asked if my party was ready and I said yes, we’ve been ready since 7:15. It was now 7:55. We got seated and everything was perfect after that.
More than like the problem that snowballed was seating guests that had no reservations and not holding tables for those who did.
The worst dining experience I have ever had. We had 7:00 o’clock reservations. I person who checked in before me told the host he had a party of 4 and no reservations and he was seated immediately. Then I was told they were running “a little behind.” At 7:45 after checking with the host, we were finally seated. I counted 7 empty tables around us and the lobby was packed with people waiting. My wife’s wine was brought out with no glass to pour it into, my beer was lukewarm and I was told there was no chilled glass to pour it into, so I had to use ice. Then when we ordered a Caesar and a wedge salad, we were brought out the regular salad bowl. At that point, we had been there over an hour and a half and starving, so we just what they brought. The fish was not bad but it was kind of bland. After 2 hours and terrible service, we couldn’t wait to leave but our waitress spent 15 minutes cleaning off and sitting up tables before she picked up our check.
Wonderful food and great service!! I would highly recommend this restaurant!!
Good place with great Service and good food.
Valentine’s Day dinner.
Good food. I loved the salad.
Sophia was fabulous!. Other than not getting our bread well into the main meal, everything was excellent!
Always a great mesl
Food was excellent, but the service was super excellent.
Great place to eat. Happy hour is the best. Great selection of appetizers and drinks.
Absolutely an excellent dining experience. We had reservations here for our anniversary. The staff went out of their way to recognize our special occasion including a special menu that had "Happy Anniversary"printed on it and signed by the entire staff and a complimentary dessert. The manager even came to our table to wish us a happy anniversary. My wife and I both had the redfish entree. The fish was perfectly prepared and was delicious. Our server, Willow was awesome and made sure that we were well taken care of. Highly recommend this restaurant.
Has really regressed over the years. Food is now less than mediocre. Many better options in the area.
All ok except server started out telling us she was tired. She did give us great service.
We came here to celebrate our mother’s 88th birthday and said this in our reservation a month ago. We requested a dessert for her and didn’t receive one. There was nothing done special for her. Food was salty, and salad bowls that came with entrees had too much dressing. So disappointed and will never return again.
Seafood was excellent. Rethink any steak choice. We went on New Year's Eve. The staff did a great job keeping up with the heavy traffic.
Excellent as always ... great way for family to get together for New Year's Eve and have a great dinner.
It was New year's eve so understandably busy and a little noisy. Service was great and dinner was delicious - and we weren't made to feel rushed even though people were waiting. We had a reservation and were seated immediately.
Wonderful service. One of the guests has dietary issues and the chef came out to discuss them with her.
Very understaffed. 45 minute wait for a table if you had a reservation. Waited 15 minutes for our drinks and another 15 minutes for our salad and over an hour for our main course. Granted it was Christmas day, but they should not have been open if they couldn't handle their reservations. We were there for over three hours. We were offered a complimentary dessert which was a nice gesture but it didn't make up for the inconvenience.
Overbooked reservations. Waited over 1/2 hr to be seated , then it was a hour and 45 min before we ate. Terrible experience for a Christmas Eve dinner. They blamed Open Table.
Hostess area was unorganized. Service was slow, food was great
Had reservations on Christmas Day for 4:45pm, arrived at about 4:35pm and was seated within about 5 mins of arriving. It was 3 of us in our party. We had an excellent waitress Erin, she was very knowledgeable about the specials and the drinks. We ordered our drinks, soups and then our entrees everything was brought out in a timely manner. The drinks were cold, the soups were hot and the entrees were hot looked very pleasing and were all very tasty. Towards the end of our visit the restaurant started to get very busy and Erin REALLY began to have her hands full. Our visit was very good for a Christmas meal and yes I would return again and recommend it to a friend.
Dinner did not have what was ordered and vegetables minimal
Just lost my mom , always cooked on Christmas. Decided Togo out instead. WAs a great experience , no complaints. Love Landrys
Our server was fabulous. We had reservations at 4. We were sat right away. We did not get our food until 6. Our steaks were brought out black and the fish orders were cold. Would not recommend for larger parties at all.
We picked it because it was one of the few places that had reservations available for Christmas Day. I was afraid it might be kind of a "skeleton staff" experience, but everyone from the hostesses who greeted and seated us, to the server to the manager who came by to check that everything was OK was friendly and professional. Our server was outstanding. He was friendly and knowledgeable about the menu, which was helpful because it was our first visit. The food was excellent, and I mean all of it including the salad, rice, broccoli, not just the main dish. It was too much for us to eat so we got doggie bags to save enough room for dessert. Delicious. It was definitely too pricey to fit into our regular rotation, but it was great in a pinch and suited the celebratory occasion.
We went to Landry‘s to celebrate Christmas Eve and our server Zach did a wonderful job throughout dinner providing us with great choices to consider. The food was outstanding as we got the barbecue shrimp and crab cake. We also got the sirloin which was cooked to perfection! Everything came out on time, hot and delicious. I would definitely recommend Landry’s for a great meal!
We celebrated Christmas Eve at Landry’s the food was ok but not a good value. Expensive and just mediocre. We would not return. Service was good.
Christmas Eve with the family.
Waitress was terrific. Food was fabulous. Love the salad!
Always a great experience,
Thanksgiving Dinner was good. A little slim on the Turkey. They only gave you a very fine slice. Otherwise everything was good
Our thanksgiving turkey dinner was very good. Our server was humorous
Unfortunately, I have nothing good to say about this restaurant. We dined today for Thanksgiving. We were seated quickly and our server was pleasant that's as good as it gets. Upon arriving we noticed restaurant was overwhelmingly warm. The music was a bit loud and they seemed to place diners in congested areas instead of spreading everyone out. Seriously couldn't have any conversations at the table and our server had to yell to communicate with us, she even apologized for yelling. Our food was pretty awful, too. The server kept forgetting our bread and ultimately it never came. I ordered the sirloin which was very fatty and had more grizzle than meat (ordered med well which was served to me well done). The baked potato tasted like it had sat for awhile as well. My husband ordered the snapper dish and the fish was soggy and the filet was dark in color with a bitter taste. My daughter's seafood platter was just okay, but not worth $26. She ordered a Sprite and it tasted more like seltzer water. We asked for a new one and it was the same taste. Our poor server knew by our plates (full of food) that we weren't happy with it, but we didn't want to cause an issue and had no time to waste today. As a local we gave this place another shot, sadly we won't be back.
overpriced, and i myself could make a better gumbo. being from Louisiana decades ago i was glad to be eating some old home cooking. we could not afford eating like this only but a few times a year.
