Landry's Seafood House - Denver
We really enjoyed the "All you can eat king crab" (Sunday). We definitely ate our money's worth. Was very fresh, came out warm and was very tasty! Our server was great and very attentive. Very few times we had to wait for anything including crab refills - she was on it! Will be back for the same special!
Okay, we love landry's we live both here and Texas. Been to 2 in Houston area. Phil, our server, was amazing. Attentive, well mannered, and did a really great job. The food however left a bit to be desired. Now don't confuse this with a "this was horrible" review but more constructive criticism. We started with crawfish bread, fried oysters, and fried zucchini. Both the oysters and crawfish bread were drenched in Tony Chachere's and very salty. The oysters were served half shell style on a bead of rock salt which added to the saltiness. Entrees were, seafood pasta, fried shrimp, southern fried fish, and fried seafood platter. I found the value for price on the pasta dishes lacking. 5 small muscles, 4 shrimp, and very small and few bay scallops. The flavor was good and the pasta was perfect. The shrimp were over cook and more than likely cooked frozen and recooked when added to the dish. At 21.5 it was not what i expected. The southern fried fish was rather bland and the batter was way to thick and hard to crunch through. Fried ship were again over cooked and rubbery. The fried platter was a mix of over done shrimp and too thick corn bread batter that was again hard to crunch through. All in all we were not pleased but maybe it was a bad night? We only come twice a year and this was not our best experience. For spending over $200 we just didn't leave feeling like we got our money's worth. Phil should be happy as we tipped 25%. This was a graduation celebration and belated mother's day and we regretted the 60 mile drive for the experience. Sorry folks but just being honest.
Excellent!!! Highly recommended. We will definitely be going back. You could eat the swordfish with a spoon. And considering the distance to the nearest seaport the prices are very fair. Try it, I dare you
There was no busser working in our Area. I had to move our dirty plates to another another dirty table. There were 5 tables around us full of dirty dishes. Food had almost no season and was cold.(mothers day buffet)$40 each. Server was nice but absent most of the timem super lame experience overall
Buffet wasnt worth the price. Our waitress couldnt even get our drink order correct and it took forever just to get our bill. Wont be recommending.
This was a Mothers Day experience that I wouldn't wish on any mother. The food was cold, tasteless, overpriced and lacking. I was not aware of the fact that it would be buffet style on Mothers Day. If I woulda known that, I wouldn't have gone. I booked the restaurant through OpenTable, but was not informed that it would be a buffet. Since when does a seafood restaurant serve Italian Food????? We informed management of our concerns, but that was worthless! We will NEVER go to this restaurant again and you shouldn't either!
My spouse and I went there for Mother's Day dinner and did not know it was a buffet. We were very upset by the lack of choices and extremely upset by the crab. The crab was so salty & inedible. We told the manager and her response was "we only boil them in water & can't understand why they are so salty". And that was that! Even the waiter said that another customer complained about the salty crab. The manager should have tasted the crab to find out salty it was but didn't!
We won't be going back there again!
This is only my third visit at this particular Landry's and unfortunately this visit ended as an overall underwhelming event. The food and the service during my first and second visits are what brought me back a third time. It turns out a third time is not always a charm. I brought my wife here for Mother's Day and we decided we would try the buffet. The buffet was disappointing as the salmon and mahi were extremely bland and flavorless. My wife tried the crablegs from the buffet and it was overly salty. I do not enjoy writing reviews but in this instance I felt it important to provide the information from this visit. As I initially stated, my first 2 visits were great but this third visit, Mother's Day, has left me questioning if I would like to return.
Our server was great but she was hampered by a very slow kitchen. We waited an hour for our food. Then when the food arrived ($35 to $55 per plate) I was shocked at the small portions. We were very dissapointd by the Alaskan King Crab. I have seen better crab legs at Costco. We were not visited by anyone to ask us about our experience and there was no offer of apology for the long wait.
Amazing food and impeccable service. Cannot day enough great things about this place!
Great king crab great service enjoyed the atmosphere. Our server Ian was on top of everything from the moment we sat down.
It was my birthday. Everything was delicious!
A wonderful meal! We were treated so well by all staff and they so nicely recognized our anniversary with a complimentary dessert and signed menu by the chefs.
They knew I was coming for my birthday and treated me like royalty the whole time.

Needs work on the overall feel of the establishment, food was just ok.
Our server, Ian, was fantastic. Food was very and portions were large but the pricing was a bit high
All you can eat king crab legs is not all that!!!! It should be called all you can eat baby king crab legs cause they were the smallest I have ever seen.
Great food and great service! I will definitely be returning. Thank you!
This was Easter Sunday with the family and Nick our server was really good. He got our orders mixed up, but we were a party of 12 so that's understandable. Good food, good time. Will go back!
Easter with our extended family was a great experience! Great food and excellent service!!
I highly recommend Landry’s if your in the Denver area.
White table cloth and $25-40 entree pricing. Wait staff was terribly untrained. Our "trying hard" waiter had no idea of the menu and literally did not know how to open a bottle of wine...my wife grabbed it from him and said, "Let my husband show you how." Other wait staff had no idea how to present or deliver food or even place silverware on the table. Luckily the kitchen staff provided competent meals to the table.
Service was extremely slow even thought it was not that busy. We had to repeatedly ask for refills before they actually did it and the overall meal took way too long to come out
Food was delicious. Service was excellent. Nice, new drink and app menu.
Too expensive. We went for all you can eat crab legs and with four of us eating, it took my bill to over $300. That's our last time there.
The food was amazing. One of the best steaks I have ever had. My order was not correct and I requested a baked potato with no cheese and the one that was brought to me had cheese. I was told that they would bring me another one and that never happened. It took about 30 minutes to get our food after the appetizers were finished. When the waiter was boxing our food, he took my crab legs and said he was going to get my baked potato. He came back to the table without my crab legs so I thought he was going to put it in with the crab. He finally came back to the table again and said the potato was in the box, when I got home to check it was not there.
Fish was overcooked and bland. Baked potato was best part of meal.
There is something about restaurants that belong to a chain; they somehow spend so much time on "standardizing" the menu items that they forget to bring their "A Game".
Our waiter was OUTSTANDING! He was fun, funny, polite, attentive without hovering, and did his very best to provide an excellent dining experience.
However, when I order my salmon RARE and it comes squished and dry, that's not his fault, it's the kitchen's. Don't get me wrong, the salmon was OK, it was just cooked according to someone's predetermined idea of how ALL salmon should be cooked. If you like salmon well done, this is a good place for dinner.
My 2 companions had fish and chips and swordfish, both of which were also well done, but done to their liking. The salad was good, but nothing special and the vegetables were OK.
The room was quiet, but only because there were just 3 or 4 other parties in a large space. And, there is a view of the mountains and the sunset, but it's mostly blocked by Venetian blinds and small windows.
This is a nice, chain restaurant with a very lovely staff, but it is average, nothing special.
very nice place with delicious food and very good service, really enjoyed it
Received a free dessert for birthday. Hostess and waiter acknowledged the birthday.
This was one of the worst "high end" restaurants I have ever experienced. The oysters had "no name", gulf, blue point, etc. When I asked the waiter what type of oysters on the half shell, they have, he said "raw". The clam chowder was bad and the gumbo was horrific. We stopped after that. Then we told them our concern, bit they kept our bill the same even though we didnt eat the chowder or the gumbo. We've traveled to many acres, east and west, militia states and we have to say that this restaurant was the worst ever. I'm to the point where I will give them my clam chowder and gumbo recipe. I dont wish their soups on anyone and I'm surprised they havent been told how crappy it is.
Food is overpriced for King Crab legs that were served Lukewarm at best, and were more like baby king crab legs. I will probably never return!
Ian was a fantastic server loved every min we where there, We are planning on going next month for my birthday. The restaurant was very clean and My wife and I felt very welcomed
Food and drinks were fantastic. King crab was excellent as well. We were very pleased with our service and the food
We enjoyed the food. Our waiter was excellent and friendly and we were impressed with the linen tablecloths and napkins
The lobster tail was very rubbery, and my husbands filet was chewy. It was hard to chew and he almost choked on it. I will not return. Food was not worth the price tag
The service was ok. The cocktail I ordered wasn't exactly correct but acceptable. The booth was COLD and barely acceptable. The quality of the food was below par. Flavors were very bland but the snapper was fishy tasting. Probably go back for the raw oysters. They are GREAT!
The crab legs were delicious, but the salad they serve is horrible. With the price they charge for a crab dinner you would think they could make a delicious salad these days. Lose the wilted iceberg lettuce, yuk! If you want people to pay that kind of money bring the sides up to the quality of the crab legs.
