The snapper Hemingway was delicious. The fried shrimp was good and fresh. The shrimp gumbo had an off taste and the shrimp were overcooked. The $20 crab cake appetizer was more filler than crab, very disappointing.

Ordered the chefs recommendation, seafood Americana, and was pretty disappointed. It was on the saltier side and the seafood was over cooked. The service was great, but the food wasn’t worth it from this location in my opinion

It was honestly a overpriced bar and grill and nothing like what Landry’s is indicative of. Many servers walked by and ignored dirty tables and patrons that had requests, and I am a Landry’s club member and usually a manager comes to check on the table. That did not happen. Our server was great, but I think she was the only one actually working.

Waited 15 minutes until someone came to the table. Fried fish platter was overcooked. Very disappointing for Landry’s. Skip it and go to Doc’s or Snoopy’s.

First time visiting Landry’s while in Corpus Christi visiting the USS Lexington. I was looking for a place in walking distance from the hotel and found a perfect place for dinner on my last night. The restaurant is on the pier with a nicely lit entrance and warm greeting from the staff as you walk inside. Inside, it’s interior is warmly lit with an upscale design of white table cloth tables, cherry wood pillars, and modern light brown carpeting that’s beautifully eclectic. Once seated, I was greeted with a wonderful server named Venessa who had a smile that could light up the darkest room. Now the best part, the food! I ordered shrimp cocktail for starters; side garden salad; and the 8oz filet mignon for the entree. All served up with a very delicious Hurricane to was it down (the Fancy Long Island Ice Tea is a must have as well). Before any of the ordered food came out, you are presented with a free plate of the best narrow cut buttered garlic bread (~ 6 inches) that I ever had. The shrimp arrived on a very chilled platter of shaved ice in jumbo size of 8 that was absolutely delicious. The side salad was a decent size and very fresh on all the parts of the garden variety. The filet mignon was grilled to perfection for medium cooked with just enough seasoning to keep its natural tender flavor. The steak entree came with parsley mashed potatoes with added bacon and cheese that tasted if it were a loaded baked potato. My overall experience was nothing but a 5 star dinner with a 5 star service in a 5 star setting. Thank you Venessa and Landry’s Seafood House!

The ambiance was nice, though where we were seated downstairs did not give a good view of the water. Fried zucchini and calamari was very heavily breaded and not the light appetizers we have come to expect in fine establishments. The snapper was prepared very well and was quite tasty. Waitress was nice, engaging, helpful. Bill was much higher than expected based on food quality. Not a particularly good value. It was a nice dinner, with some room for improvement

My first time ever going to Landrys and I wish I had not listened to our hotel valet driver’s suggestion to go to Landrys for dinner. The food was terrible not worth the price at all. I ordered the filet steak , lobster tail, bacon wrapped shrimp with asparagus. The asparagus was the only decent thing on the plate. My steak was so dry tough and cold it looked like it was precooked that had been sitting all day and thrown in a microwave. Honestly this was the worst steak I’ve ever had. I took one bite and could not eat anymore of it. Lobster tail was shriveled up and also tough. The shrimp was even worse. The food was not fresh at all. Do better if you’re going to charge these type of prices!

Good ambience, however food the what you would expect from a chain restaurant. I can’t speak to every dish but fish is farmed raised frozen not fresh on the gulf coast. The chargrilled oysters were terrific … all in all it’s over priced. Much better options in the immediate area.

Landry’s has a special atmosphere that’s coastal-casual with a homey vibe. The food is consistently delicious and well-prepared. The wait-staff are friendly but not overbearing, and dining there is always a fun night out.

The food and service was good. Only drawback was that happy hour drinks were only available at that price if you were at the bar. I didn’t want to eat at the bar and quite frankly am not used to this. Happy hour pricing is generally for the entire restaurant.

Unfortunately, after going to various Landry’s owned restaurants across the nation, our experience taking our mother to a nice lunch at this location was less than positive, and one we will try to forget. There were to many small things that led to a overall poor experience, and a unwanted sickness for some to follow. From iced water that had a weird taste (told they couldn’t help it because the filler at the bar allows “soda water” to come in to the regular water), waitress who was less than delightful once told of customers needs, to fish that had a étouffée shrimp sauce that appeared to be old as it gelled over the fish. Bread served with no butter and told they had no butter without garlic to serve - later reversed by the manager when brought to his attention. The experience was definitely not what we were accustomed to with the Landry’s brand or fine dining. Currently, two of us out of the group have remained sick since around an hour after the meal including our elderly mother. Would not recommend going to this location.
