Landmarc at the Time Warner Center Ratings and Reviews
Other than the waitstaff, there is nothing nice to say about this restaurant. There were two of us, and the first table they tried to seat us at was between two other tables for two with barely any space between the tables despite this being a very large restaurant. The second table was by the front door. Making a reservation on OpenTable meant nothing as we were offered only the worst tables, even though better tables were available. The food was equally disappointing. A "Mediterranean Salad" consisted of iceberg lettuce and some feta cheese. A hamburger was dry, and while parts were well charred, other parts were burnt. We will never go back and sorry we went in the first place.
The food was good but we had the most unfriendly waiter ever. He gave us a bit of an attitude when we said we didn't want any wine and then he didn't talk to us the rest of the night except to take our order. Kind of a damper on a special Valentine's dinner.
My friends and I use to frequent LM Tribeca many years ago (way before TWC was built) and have always enjoyed the food/atmosphere/etc. I wanted to take my friend to a great place for his birthday and decided on LM - it was his first time there and as expected the service/food/atmosphere was impeccable!!
We ordered the skirt steak and it was brought to the table cold in addition to being chewy, not tender. I sent mine back to the kitchen to be warmed up. When it came back it was the same temperature if not colder. There was only one water for the entire restaurant which was pretty much empty for a Sunday 7:30 setting.
Very disappointing and not cheep !
Will not return.
We dropped in for a quick meal before a Jazz at Lincoln Center show. I've been here many times and it doesn't disappoint. My husband and I both ordered the Landmarc burger and it was ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS!! No complaints about the food. The noise level is always loud and because of the kid-friendly menu there are always tons of kids here. But I'd definitely come back for the burger and maybe an ice cream cone. I think the service could have been a little bit more attentive but it was crazy busy so I'm not sure if that is even possible.......
Where did this restaurant go? It used to be cool with a broad menu, good steaks, interesting bistro sides and salads. Now, the menu is way pared down - no more hangar steak or ribeye, frisee salad, many other things. The lighting is a bit brighter now so it seems less cool. Slipshod table service although our waiter was fine. This place has gone to the tourists. It needs to close and be reborn as something special. (I used to go to this restaurant both downtown and uptown since both opened, so I've seen the steep decline.)
As a long standing customer and fan of Landmarc, I have been disappointed the last several times I've eaten here. Recently at lunch I added grilled chicken to the caesar salad- it was ice cold rubber. The new menu has eliminated many of the vegetarian options. The customer to wait staff ratio is very off kilter. After 15 minutes we placed our drink order. A server then swooped by our table dropping off a crudite platter, which we thought was complimentary, until another server swooped back and grabbed it - the table next to us had ordered it. Disappointing food and service.
It's not super common to find a place that offers good food, good drinks, and is truly kid-friendly. There's also room for strollers! They don't pack people in like sardines, and they offer crayons and paper for the littles to scribble on. Add to that a truly fantastic French toast and a yummy Bloody Mary and what more can one ask for?
Nice atmosphere and pleasant service. Food was good, but not great. Very expensive for what you get. It was disturbing that they would not substitute one side for another (of lesser value) because of a strict 'no substitutions' rule. I think it's better to make the customer happy that stick to strict rules like that.
I rarely write reviews but this experience was so bad. We sat with no one greeting us for more than 20 minuets. The waitress was so busy we were barely able to flag her down to get some water refills. Food was lukewarm, diner quality. Overall it’s not worth the $250 bill. One restaurant to cross off.
What a disappointment. My sister and I went prior to an event at Jazz at Lincoln Center in the hopes of starting our night with a special meal. From the service (charmless) to the food (unremarkable) the whole experience was a letdown. Even the restroom was messy! Next time, we'll be visiting one of the other excellent neighborhood options.
Landmarc is one of our dependable, favorite spots. It’s upscale enough that the adults enjoy it, and the perfect kids’ menu and giant picture windows keep our kids happy. The food is beautifully prepared every time. The cocktails are fun and the wine list is well-planned. Looking forward to our next visit!
We have always loved brunch at Landmarc and this time lived up to its reputation! We were celebrating 2 birthdays. I requested a booth near the window when I made our reservation on Open Table and that’s exactly what we got. The food was great and our waiter was fabulous. Another great Landmarc outing!
Given its location, the prices are quite fair and the food quite good. The service is inept. My nephew and I ordered the Cote de bœuf for two. It was plopped Down in front of my nephew on a large cutting board, the potatoes were put in front of me, no effort was made to give us lates or cutlery, and the waiter was nowhere in sight and could not be found. Finally he was sent for and arranged things, but the meat was cold. Too bad because it and the gratin potatoes were of good quality.
That said, I would gladly go back and try again.
My husband and I had reservations, but arrived early and happened to get a seat at the bar. The bartender, Hannah, was very engaging, and we enjoyed making small talk, while people watching and sipping our drinks. We decided to eat at the bar, ordering the calamari, Mediterranean salad, and the burger. Everything was delicious. Other diners at the bar were friendly, and it was great to chat, and find out other places to go for the weekend. We will definitely go back to Landmarc!
We loved it! went for brunch and requested table with a view. The brunch entrees are well portioned and come with salad and fries. They honored our request and had a really nice table overlooking columbus circle. we were headed to lincoln center for a show, just a 7 min walk away. the service was quick and friendly. we had a wonderful time, i wish the show had been as good as the food and dining experience.
