Landmarc at the Time Warner Center Ratings and Reviews
Food was delicious as always and our server was delightful. Hosts were unfortunately not particularly welcoming, genuine, or mature. While we did not let that impact the overall experience, as someone with many years experience in the industry, this initial greeting is important.
Cool place. We had a table by the Window which was lucky and it’s a nice view. They don’t do Hannah me by the glass. Burger was good, had better but it was nice and thick. Mac and cheese side was good but pretty small and not crusty. Service was just okay - they were busy though. I’m told the brunch is good so I’ll go back for that.
the food was excellent, well prepared. too much lag time from the time drinks were ordered to table. next the signature steak diner for two was not available at 6 pm on a sunday evening.also the wine ordered was not available. the wait
staff seemed with only 5 active tables in their area. runners did not know who received what dish. overall expected a better service at a marc murphy restaurant.
Nice to be able to go to a restaurant with a good vibe and kid-friendly.
Alas, my wife's pumpkin risotto was not good at all and she returned it. Our other food and the kid's menu were fine. Staff brought some desserts for free as it was my wife's birthday which was nice.
Landmarc is a tried and true and perfect for meeting a group of friends. Our reservation was an hour later but, everyone arrived early and they were happy to accommodate. Food is solid, staff is friendly and efficient. Wine by the glass was pricey -- one glass was way more than my burger! Didn't feel rushed but, it's not a leisurely meal either.
Our evening started off inauspiciously With and indifferent greeting from the young man who was apparently a host at the front desk. He was surly bordering on rude. We were seated at a table located at the corner of a long banquette. Both my wife and I were repeatedly jostled by staff members rushing by throughout our dinner.
My wife ordered a filet mignon cooked medium which I noted was priced at $47. The steak, which was small, was delivered rare. I ordered spaghetti puttanesca which was delivered lukewarm. We asked our very pleasant server to have the kitchen cook the steak as ordered and she arranged it.
We eat out about five nights a week and would not consider returning to this disappointing restaurant.
I’ve tried to like this place, and this time I had two good dishes, the Harvest Salad and the salmon. But the service is so slow and, though friendly, it always ends up indifferent. Certainly disappointing for a $300 dinner. Maybe this is ok for tourists, but there are so many other places that actually appreciate your business.
Really poor service. When I asked to not serve me the fries that came with my Entree, I was told we cannot switch it out and ...... Long story short, I could not get them to make any switch on an expensive steak. Then a manager came by just make it worse. Plus out table was close to the kitchen, where the noise was unbearable.
Business lunch yesterday with out of town colleague for whom restaurant would be easy to find. Pleasant time at the bar while waiting for him to arrive. Asked for a table away from the screaming mobs and got it without an eyeroll, which was nice. Very pleasant, friendly, attentive server. Good martinis. Noise level deafening, even far-back in a corner. Food good though not mindbendingly so (as we've pretty much always found it to be during regular visits, most often for breakfast or lunch, over the past decade). Great location.
Landmarc is absolutely one of my favorite restaurants in Manhattan. Wonderful food, a casual and inviting atmosphere and a magnificent view. And they have one of the best burgers around! My husband and I were celebrating an anniversary, and had a late dinner of French onion soup, Caesar salad and hamburgers. Can’t wait to go back.
W(I hae have dined here many times in the past. The restaurant has really declined - in service and food quality. It took us 30 min.+ to get drinks. (I had to wave like a mad person to get the server's attention.) The food was lukewarm. smaller portions. The coffee was cold. We will not return.
I've been to landmarc at least a half dozen times. I send people there...or at least I used to. The last two times (including the celebration of my 50th birthday and 11/6/17 my father-in-laws 81st birthday) were met with poor service, orders that were under cooked, overcooked, or didn't arrive at all. There seems to be a huge miss someplace within the team. I'm not sure where it stems from - training, management, team work, experience, etc. but it needs to be addressed. I'm not going back and I'm not recommending it.
Salmon came out badly undercooked - kitchen's mistake.
They then recooked it and it was (as you would expect) dry and inedible. Why couldn't they do it right with a new piece of salmon?
Also, kept pushing diet coke refills and then charged over $5 each (without mentioning that there was a charge).
Really poor experience and disappointing as a nearby UWS resident.
We used to love this restaurant however it seems to have gone downhill. Rushed aervice, stale food and corked wine are a big disappointment. Greasy food prepared well and in advance and then warmed and served to unsuspecting tourists was a big disappointment.
Long time since we last dined here. Unfortunatley, it was not a memorable experience at all.
The steak was good, but the calamari appetizer was awfully chewy.
Service: the waiter was friendly but we had to wait too long for almost everything: order food, get parmesan cheese for pasta,......at the end I had to go to the bar to get someone’s attention to get the check.....and still I was standing there for 5 minutes before someone took care of us!
Don’t think we’ll be back.
The food was average at best and very overpriced. Our waiter refilled our sodas once and didn't inform us we would be charged $5 for each soda. Our waters were never refilled. The waiter didn't check on us to see how our food was and didn't offer the cotton candy dessert option to our children, which was disappointing. The noise level in the restaurant is VERY high and makes it difficult to hold a conversation.
