L'Andana Ratings and Reviews
We had a dinner with another couple last week. The food was ok... little too oily for my taste and the menu was surprisingly small... Drinks ok as well... I was surprised since the service and overall impression of the restaurant is great.. and the kitchen used to be much better... I would rate this place as 6 if 10 with a really nice potential...
L'Andana was nothing like I expected, and that was a good thing! From the decor, to the staff, to the food, and the drinks, we had a really lovely experience for our first time dining there. I can't say enough about the lobster gnocchi. The salumi board to start was fresh and abundant. My husband's sirloin was cooked perfectly and the sides were not overwhelming. All portions were appropriate and filling without being grotesque. I didn't love my drink but that was my risk, not the drink itself. I really enjoyed the warm, textural design, and the lighting was perfect. Can't wait to come back!
L'Andana is consistently superb! The entire menu appeals to all palates and sets the bar high on flavors and presentation. Their signature veal chop is a must try, but so is the swordfish with roasted peppers, the game hen and the tuscan steak...ok, every choice on the menu is a winner! Save room for dessert...they are exceptional too! The service is the best, every one works together like a well choreographed dance troupe!
First time at this restaurant. Very nice ambiance . Noise level was moderate but ok for quiet conversation with my wife. Food was very good. I had a delicious veal chop that was very tender as promised. The only complaint was service was off a bit. I had to order a glass of wine 3 times from different staff before the manager heard I was annoyed and served it himself. Other than that an enjoyable evening that I will repeat and give them a chance to redeem themselves.
I actually booked this place by mistake. I originally wanted to go to a place down the street and mixed up the names. It was Christmas Eve, 8 of us, 2 children (8 and 11) and 6 adults - Adults are all foodies. This is a steak place, bottom line. My kids found things to eat but usually don't eat steak. My mistake - but we found things. The apps were not the best. The Fondue was great, calamari was sweet (not great), muscles in broth..(not good), Octopus (really chewy, salty and basically not edible). The bread and oil was great. The lamb was a large portion, served with Marsala wine and mushrooms with a side of cheese Polenta - decent but nothing memorable. and the pasta my son ordered was fresh - served with butter, how can you mess that up? My steak was just ordinary rib-eye - served Tuscan style with parm shavings and arugula on top. It was just ok, no Capital Grill or Ruth's Chris here, I understand this cut of meat is fatty but more than half of it could not be consumed because of the fat content. The service was superb and the decorations were interesting. Overall, we won't be back here as a family. It is super expensive, our 8 person meal with 2 bottles of $50 wine and deserts (which were the hit of the meal) came to a grand total of $800!!! Merry Christmas - Boom
Generally we enjoyed our meal and experience. We were expecting a more formal atmosphere and were likely over dressed based on our expectations. Our server was professional and accommodating. We found certain aspects such as basic water offering and refill to be very slow and lacking. The food quality and portions were very, very good. This was our first experience at L’Andana, and overall for the value and general experience we would be willing to give L’Andana a second look for a return visit.
Wonderful food, great ambience and service. The staff took good care of us. They were patient and didn't rush our friends get together . Their filet mignon is the best around & everyone raved over it. 5 people had ordered steak and the wait staff got everyone's preference perfect. Cocktails are well executed and unique.
Checked in at desk 1 hour before. Informed the hostess we would be having cocktails for an hour in the bar. She said I’ll come grab you closer to 7pm. Bar was about 60 degrees, empty, bartender yells be with you in a minute from other side of the bar. Bar top is dirty from previous guests long gone. Bartender got 2 of us drinks then went to a bar table to wait on them, grabs 2 more of us drinks, goes to Service Bar and then finishes round. I guess Service Bar was busy which resulted in slow service at the Bar. At 719pm we asked hostess if Table was ready and she said we expected you for 7pm? We said You said you were going to come get us? Weird. So she seats us. Server is nice but Again everything is long and drawn out. Empty plates sat empty. Food is the star as is atmosphere. Sorry just wanted to be honest. It was a company dinner for our senior managers and they all mentioned the misfires this morning at work. Sort of embarrassing.
Fantastic meal. I had the gnocchi with lobster and it was easily the best gnocchi I've ever had. Wife had her favorite the rigatoni with bolognese sauce as loved it. But, my favorite was the coconut bread pudding with caramel sauce which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal.
